Thanks for the support, Ron :flowerforyou:
So I did week 5 col 1 today after my lifts. Still challenging, but manageable I think. I'll repeat that week/col combo again next week - I'm increasing the weights on my lifts on Monday so we'll see how it goes! :bigsmile:0 -
Ok, I'm still here!!! Anybody else?
I did days 2 and 3 of week 5, col 1 this week, on my two lighter lifting days. The last sets are hard, but manageable, so I'm going to keep this up for a bit (2 days/week).
How's everybody else doing...still with me? :glasses:0 -
Yup, am still here cmeirun though must confess to not doing any for a few weeks now I promise to get back on the wagon soonest - those 100 push-ups will happen just not sure when0

I'm here as well - I have slowed on the challenge - since I lift weights 3 times a week - 2 are upper body - I have to get the schedule right for doing this. My arms are too tired to do it on the same day. I'm stickin with it though because I know this will add muscle to my arms and I need it to replace where the fat was.0

Popping in to let y'all know I'm still doing pushups as part of my normal routine. Currently working on "full" pushups, which means going all the way to the ground and back up. Amazing how much harder they are from the "standard", where you get close to the ground. I do 30-60 per strength training session. I know I wouldn't be able to handle them if I hadn't gotten as far as I did with the pushup challenge.
And thanks for the support about the 5k! It was a blast. It wasn't timed, so not sure on our time...probably 35minutes?
My running partner and I have our first timed 5k one in 2 weeks!0 -
Oops, I completely forgot all about this. >.> Got minor surgery next week, but once I'm up and about, I guess I'll start up from scratch again.0

I'm repeating week 5 this week, started a new job last month and got all out of sorts with the challenge, but I'm still determined to finish!0

Wow. Jumping through this thread is really inspiring ouo I'm a weakling and can only do about 1 knee push up if I try really hard, and you guys have made me want to try to do 100 of them. I'm definitely doing this, though it may be in a week or two when I have more time and no access to a gym (end of semester is a double edged sword).
Keep up the good work, everyone! :flowerforyou:0 -
Nice to see peeps are still around and hopefully we can all settle down to some more serious work soon
Welcome purplesora and good luck with your quest remember, you don't have to go to the gym to do these, maybe just get up 5 minutes early a few days a week?
Just back from a holiday, so a weekend chill then will try to get back on track and start with an exhaustion test to see how much strength I've lost.0 -
i get to 40....and then i start crapping out. I need to just keep pushing it. I would love to get to 100 pushups0

Still cruchin' them out here!
This week I did days 2 and 3, column 1, of Week 5. I think I'm destined to stay here for a looooooooong time lol. But I'm happy to still be incorporating at least some of the challenge in my weekly routine! It's a little sad that I can't manage the same number of reps anymore - it's just not gonna happen with me doing them at the end of lifting days!0 -
*any one here still*
I had hoped to start this again today but have Tendinitis in my right elbow and jarred my left shoulder when I tripped whilst running today
As soon as I'm able am going to do an exhaustion test to see how far away I am from my 62 press-ups from last time.0 -
*waves*
I'm still doing pushups twice a week most of the time (still Week 5, col. 1 lol). I should probably try to up that a bit...
I haven't done an exhaustion test for a while...maybe next week?0
