I'm Jane, 5'-4" and 145ish pounds (I go between 145-149). I'm married, live in Georgia and have two kids (11 year old son and a 17 month old daughter).

In high school I was always thin, but I never thought it; too self conscious. I've never owned a pair of shorts till last year. I have a hard time with sweets (ice cream, chocolate, cheesecake, etc.) and try to stay away from them but it's hard when your favorite thing to do is bake!

I started a Tabata class this week and boy am I sore! I have three more weeks left and I go twice a week. Going to start going to the gym on Saturdays as well. I like to trail run but have to go alone most the time as no one else likes it. I carry a knife with me, mace is for babies. I hardly have time to trail run though any more because my son plays ball now, I work full time and we have church and family functions A LOT. Oh - I also sell Origami Owl on the side so that takes up workout time as well but provides extra income for me and my family.

I had my 6 week remeasure on 4-15-13 at the gym (I was only doing weights and 30 minutes of cardio) and weighed the same but lost 5 lbs of body fat and gained 2 lbs of muscle. Hopefully this Tabata class will kick my butt in gear - also being part of this group as well!!!

    Hi Everyone!

My name is Shelly and I'm 47, married and mom to two young teens. Wouldn't you know I'm still trying to lose that baby weight? I've been battling the bulge for quite some time. I've been on Weight Watchers, Jenny Craig, Nutrisystem ... and I've been successful on all of them as far as losing weight, but it's the maintenance where I consistently fail.

I remember how fantastic I felt when I reached my goal weight and I want to feel that (and stay there) again! I definitely have 45 lbs to lose. Once I reach that I'll probably re-evaluate and may go for another 10, depending on how I feel.

I have to say that since joining MFP I've never eaten better in my entire life.

Hello everyone! My name is Angie and I'm from Wyoming. I work full time, go to school part-time, and I'm a mom all the time to a 5 yo DS! Because of this, healthy eating and exercise have been put on the back burner. I just started doing nutrisystem this week and I'm hoping that having a specific goal to work on will help me to stick with it. I'm very excited to start this challenge
  • My name is Amanda. I am 25 years old. I am excited to find this group because I certainly need the motivation.

I am curently 165 pounds, and would like to get down to 135 by November 1st. This group will hopefully be the kick in the butt I need.

I have been overweight since....forever. I was always the chubby girl in school, and even when I was doing gymnastics (at the gym 5 days a week training) I was still bigger than all the other girls. I am an emotional eater through and through. Funny thing is...I have a degree in Nutrition and Dietetics. Time to practice what I preach.

I plan to start things off by starting Insanity April 21. Hopefully that will be a nice 60 day jump start into weight loss.

So here is my request for this group: KEEP ME ACCOUNTABLE. Be mean if you have to, but I need help staying on track.

Hi I am in my mid 40s and a married Mom to a teenager (15). I have always been fit all my life. Over the last 10 years I have worked at a sedentary job. While most years I keep active every few years I slip up. This time I let my weight go to 160lbs. I am 5' 3".

Last Friday I bought a Fit Bit to motivate me to be active. I have done well lost 3.5lbs this week. I would like to keep myself motivated. I found this website through the fit bit website and have used it to log food the last 3 days.

I am so glad I found this challenge. I need to lose a total of 30lbs and 20 in 75 days sounds great!.

Hi I'm TheFabTam and I'm here to try and live up to that nickname. I'm a martial arts instructor that lost her way. (Physically) Trying to get back into competing shape and inspire my students along the way. Pretty much spend all my free time gaming. Whether it be on my DS or my Xbox I became pretty sedentary and my body suffered for it. Im ready to change for good. My goal is to be in a bikini by next summer with no body issue about it. I'm 5'9 currently and weigh 235lbs. Goal is to eventually be 175lbs or in size 10 jeans. Which ever happens first. XD
  • Hi All! I am 27 married no kids and 154 lbs, use to be 135 at my most comforable. I am finally ready to really loose those 20 pounds. Since gaining that weight about 1 1/2 - 2 years ago and attemping to loose the weight on and off due to fusteration, I feel like I am finally in the right mind set to fully commit! I'm ready for the challenges and ready to not give up.

I do exercise almost everyday even if its just walking my dogs. I think the biggest problem I have is not knowing how many calories I am eating. After entering the food I ate in fitneespal I realized I really need to watch what I eat in order to really loose the weight. Just need the strength to stay away from pizza and beer haha!

    Good luck to all!

Hi all, I am Keith. <<<Yea thats me the fat coach on the left. I am one of the older farts in the group and have decided that just wishing i wasnt so heavy isnt going to help me lose weight. This online family is needed to help keep me motivated!!! I have 2 kids, my son 25 just moved into his own apartment (yay), and a 21 year old daughter who has just lost 50 pounds. She is part of my motivation, if she can do it so can I! My son is getting married in August and I want to look better for it than i do now! So let's go.

Howdy, I’m Angie. I’m just outside of Portland Oregon. I’m 36 and really need to drop some pounds. I am tired of feeling unhealthy and having clothing that doesn’t fit. I pulled out my summer stuff and about cried. On top of that, (And this is a big one) I found out that I now have high blood pressure. My mother passed away in her early 50’s party due to Heart Disease and Congestive Heart Failure. Wake up call for me. I’ve been very active my whole life. I love to play soccer but stopped after some pretty bad injuries. I have walked ½ marathons, and 5 & 10ks the last few years but then I just kind of just stopped. I’m working on my plan now, basically staying within a certain amount of calories, regular exercise and less carbs. My husband is joining me on this weight loss journey adventure as well so that will be helpful too. Looking forward to -20lbs in 75days! My husband and I will be celebrating 17years that month. I’m somewhat new to MFP, about a month and so far, I really like it!

Hi! I'm T. My goal is to lose 50lbs. I'm 44 and very motivated. I workout 6 days a week doing lots of bootcamp style workout classes. I also do a class called RIPPED and I do Zumba as well. My personal obstacle has been proper diet. I wasn't eating enough calories and I wasn't eating often enough. I've worked on that part over the past 3 weeks and I'm seeing progress.
This is just the type of challenge I needed and I'm glad to have found this group before the challenge starts!

Hi everyone. My name is Laura. I'm 44 years old & live in Minnesota. I finally decided this year to make my health a priority (after 25 years of yo-yo dieting), so in February I started working out with a trainer. I strength train with him three times a week (30 minute sessions) and then do cardio on my own.

I have been eating well in conjunction with that, but joined this group because now that I'm a couple of months in I'm starting to lose focus as far as my nutrition. I'm loving the fitness aspect, but know that I need to eat well too. Hoping this group motivates & encourages me. I'm generally doing Herbalife for breakfast and lunch (have used their products for years), with healthy snacks & a dinner of lean meats and vegetables.
  • Hey Team!
I am so excited about this opportunity! I am a 43 year old mother of two beautiful children (ages 9 and 10). I got to a really healthy weight before I turned 40 but every winter I gain ten pounds. It takes me all summer to take it off, just to put it back on again. I want to be able to pick one outfit in the morning that looks great and doesn't just "work". I want to feel confident, not self-conscious and beautiful, not awkward. Can't wait to join with all of you in this effort to make lifestyle changes to get healthy!
    Bring it on!

Hi everyone! My name is Rosalyn I'm a married mother of 2 girls and a boy. I work full time as a remote certified coding specialist for a well known acute care facility in my home town. My kids is the reason why I'm here. I want to get healthy and lose the extra weight so that I will be around to see them and my future grand kids grow old. After giving birth to 3 children the weight has added up and with every child the weight became more and more difficult to manage. I'm super excited to start this challenge as it will give me the extra movtivation that I need to push through and reach my goal. I'm looking forward to all the interaction, inspiration, and motivation during this challenge and throughout my journey on MFP. I wish everyone good luck I know we all will succeed and I can't wait to see my own progress as well as everyone else's progress. Good luck to you all!

    Hi all,
My name is Kate. I'm a 32 year old mom of 2 (ages 3 and 5) who works full time. I'm interested in losing the extra weight that I've gained since kids and toning up. I'm also interested in making the new and improved eating/work out habits stick this time. I'm aiming to work out 5 - 6 days a week for 60 minutes. I have a ton of the Jillian Michaels DVDs and an elliptical machine, so I plan on doing a combination of those and short runs outside (bad knees, so I can't run too far). I am also working on improving my diet. I don't have a specific meal plan, but will be tracking my food intake each day and replacing the unhealthy, processed stuff with cleaner foods. Ok - off to work out! 30 minutes on the elliptical tonight and level 1 of 30 day Shred. Good luck to everyone!

    Hi all,
My name is Pam and I am a 43 year old Grandmother of 4. I work full time at a desk and over the years have gained many pounds. I have had knee surgery in the past and have been recently having lots of trouble with my knees. When I saw the doctor I was told that I would probably have to have surgery again soon but if I could lose some weight that would help with the pain I was having. I started out originally at 192 lbs and I am down to 174 lbs. I need motivation or I begin to skip days and eat to much. I was in a biggest loser competition where I work and I came in 2nd place. It ended about 2 weeks ago and I have been slipping so as soon as I saw this I was very eager so that I can stay focused and on track. That competition was for 10 weeks so it was very comparable to this and I lost 18 lbs in 70 days so think is just 2 more than that. I will be right around my target weight if I can do this challenge. My target is 145 and 20 pounds will put me right at 154. Praying I make it there and praying all of you do as well.

    Pam aka rde8jr!
