You ladies are really doing amazing during pregnancy! I have had a huge gain two within the last three weeks (2 pounds a week) and it is really starting to freak me out! I'm trying not to stress over how much weight I am gaining but it sucks when the number on the scale keeps rising and I hate to hear what my midwife will say...0

I did increase my cals by 200 a day and I've gone over some days but 2lbs a week seems so high...ugh. The thing is, I'm starving all the time right now - just absolutely starving - so I'm thinking baby just needs me to gain weight right now, but 7lbs in a month and 6lbs in 3 weeks is mucking with me. I hate that it bothers me so much, but it really does.0 -

You are getting ready for a growth spurt! I gained 6lbs in 4weeks from weeks 22-26. BUT then the next month only gained 1lb. You body is going to do what it wants to do. Just try to make the right choices and go low/no sugar, high fiber! Good luck! You are doing great.0 -

6 weeks left.. today is my baby shower so I'm super excited! I feel a bit afraid even though this is my fourth baby.. yesterday I got some really hard stabs like an all over contraction for about a minute but it went away. Never had that before.. just real labor with all my other births so that freaked me out. Also my car wouldn't start so I panicked a bit because what if that happens when I'm in labor? lol... AND my baby is still heads up!
I am kind of getting tired of seeing the numbers on the scale go up.. I know it's normal and the weight I've gained is in a good range but I still hate it. It took such hard work to get to my starting weight/fitness level and I keep thinking I won't be there again for such a long time. ugh. Sorry for the rant! At least I think in the next six weeks I shouldn't go up more then 1lb a week and that would bring me to 24lb gained. At least I hope so0 -

Have fun at your shower today and don't worry about practice contractions - your uterus is gearing up for its big work out! And you can always call a cab if your car breaks down, LOL!0

Thank you so much Heather. I am grateful not to have gained more.. I guess it's just that it's hard to be used to the mindset of gaining, but you know that too I keep trying to remember that a lot of this weight is baby, placenta, fluid etc but I hate not being able to see my toes or run at all haha..
Good idea about the cab.. but the hospital is like an hour away, I think I might call an ambulance haha just in case.0 -

I'm baaaaaaack. Well, I wasn't expecting to make it to 40 weeks with baby #3, but here I am. So, 40 weeks and up 24 lbs. At least the scale didn't go up. I'm going to assume I'll be back again next week just to save myself the disappointment.
