You're doing wonderful! I know from experience that sometimes we still see ourself as big and don't see the loss that others see, we don't see the transformation that others see. If you have a before picture maybe try looking at it and taking a current one to compare. I was the same way! My before and after pictures have helped me a lot. For months I would automatically go to the Plus size clothing because that is what I was used too. I looked in the mirror and still seen myself as big. You are doing amazing it looks like. Be very proud!

Been 1.5 years since surgery and I still don't think that I'm going to fit in clothes. I hold up a pair of mens 34 pants and say there is no way I'll ever fit in those, but yet I do. I still head to the big and tall sections sometimes then realize that I don't need to be there. When walking around, I still give myself extra room to get by people or objects.

    RNY 10/30/2010

    Height 5'2"
Highest Weight 300+ (Scale only went to 300)
    Pre Op Weight 289
    October 2011 180

    Abdominoplasty & Paniculetomy 10/30/2013
    Current Weight 175

Before: Sleep apnea and Type 2 Diabetes,
Now: No Sleep apnea, and Type 2 Diabetes in remission

Best indicator of size, I went with grandkids to Disney and I fit on every single ride, just like a normal size person!

Age 62 and Menopause symptoms still ........ What do you expect? Miracles?

I still browse plus size and have a hard time estimating what will fit. I kept a favorite cashmere sweater that was too tight and almost unworn. I tried it on today, with a belt and leggings and boots, it makes a cute dress.

I had RNY in January 2001 at age 23.

    Before surgery: 336
    Shirt size: 2-3XL
    Pant Size: 36W

    Today: 190
Shirt Size: L-XL (had breast augmentation in 2008 so that's affecting my shirt sizes more than weight.)
    Pant Size: 12-14

I've been through just about everything. Had incisional hernia repair (since I had open RNY procedure) in 2002. Tummy tuck 2003 (lost 6lbs skin). Thigh tuck 2003 (lost 2lbs skin). Brachioplasty 2008 (under arm tuck - lost 1lb skin). Breast augmentation 2008 (to full those empty boobs after all that weight loss)

Only complaint that I have is that b/c of falling back into bad habits, my stomach and digestive track is very messed up. I pretty much have IBS or Collitis and it's making my life a bit of a living hell. I'm hoping that by getting back on track with MyFitnessPal, my stomach will stop hating me so much.

Other than that, it was the best thing that I ever did for myself. I've gotten back into riding horses which is something I never would have imagined when I was 300+.

Great topic. Thanks for allowing all of the opportunity to share.

    Great Posting topic:

    Sleeved: 9/26/13
    6' Tall
    Highest weight: 311lbs
    Weight day of surgery: 307lbs
    Pants: 44 waist (relaxed fit)
    Shirt: 2XL - 3XL (loose cut only)
    Sleep apnea, elevated blood pressure.
Felt there was a national quality issue with underwear manufacturers as I kept shredding seems!!

    Now: 212lbs
Pants: 36 waist (classic fit, fitting loose - 34 is on the horizon)
Shirt: XL (can wear dry-fit, and athletic cut)
No more sleep apnea, OFF BLOOD PRESSURE MEDS, in Gym 4x per week.
Realized clothing quality was fine but was never rated for maximum force. Remarkably underwear shredding has ceased. :)

Just joined the group! Had RNY 12/30/2011

    Day of surgery: 246 lbs
    I'm 5'6"
    Pants: 22
    Shirts: 2XL
    Shoes: 9 1/2

At my 1 year checkup (1/06/2013)
159.9 (my super secret goal was to be in the 150's!)
    Pants: 10/12
    Shirts: Medium
    Shoes: 9

2 days before my 1 year check up I found out I was pregnant (even though I had the mirena in for 2 years). These are my stats from my 2 year check up (2/20/2014)

    180 lbs
    Pants: 14
    Shirts: L-XL
    Shoes: 9

So I still have 20 pounds to go from having my adorable Gracen :)
