I think 30 is reasonable. For lots of people the gain tapers off at the end because there's no more room and the baby squashes your stomach. So, even if you gained 1 pound a week for the next 9 weeks you'd only be at 30.0 -
Pre-Pregnancy: 120 lbs / 5'1
20 Weeks: 126.5 (+6.5)
21 Weeks: 125.8 (-.7)
22 Weeks: 127.4 (+1.6)
This is the biggest jump I have seen all pregnancy. I have been eating a lot of garbage and haven't worked out regularly in a few weeks . I really need to refind my motivation. My motivation before was seeing the numbers on the scale go down but it's just not going to happen now that I have a baby on the way obviously. Guess that is something to figure out and hopefully soon!
Weight gain isn't linear. I wouldn't Worry about it. Your gain is about 5 pounds lower than "normal" at this point so seriously, just keep doing what you doing. This could've just been a week where your baby grew a lot.0 -

23 Weeks: 128.8 (+1.4)
Another big week of weight gain but I feel better about it this time. I know that I am over halfway and have only gained about 9 lbs and that these are the weeks a bunch of people manage to see a spike in number. Overall I am feeling healthy since I got back to working out and clean eating. I just have to keep in my head that I am pregnant and the number will obviously go up!
Starting to actually look pregnant at this point...sort of. :laugh:0 -
Unfortunatley, my gains are never just 1lb per week.. so... I think staying under 30 is unlikely =[0

How is everyone feeling? I've been waking up early and not able to go back to sleep. My day started at 2:45 yesterday morning. I am exhausted today and it's rainy/gloomy. Hoping the sun comes out soon or I may have to nap in my car on lunch
Last couple nights I have been waking up around 3am and don't go back to sleep until 6am. (Not good considering I go to bed around 11pm or midnight and have to be awake by 7am.)
I am the opposite on the sun. When it is nice and warm and sunny out I want to take a nap. I love the heat, and can totally take a nap in the nice warm car. The cold just makes me miserable.0 -

Gained that 1lb back again this week. I'm thinking that I should have gains for the rest of my pg. At my appt Tuesday night I was surprised that I had a 2lb loss. Not sure how that happened since I gained. Weird!! I'm starting to get nervous about delivering. I feel like not knowing what to expect is the better way to go Hoping to get the rest of the stuff I need done this weekend. Hope everyone is feeling well!!!0 -

The nerves just started kicking in for me again this week (35 weeks). I've been through it twice. So I have different fears and expectations than the first time. I know a baby is going to come out one way or another though. And while I hope to avoid an epidural this time I know how magical they can be so if need be I know I can rely on that. I started rereading a book last night on how to make the most of your labor and what positions may help and how to try to do it naturally. Read it a few weeks ago but figured if I'm going to do a refresher now's a good time! Eek!0 -

Not supposed to gain more than 15 lbs. Not sure I was supposed to LOSE 15 either... but I wonder if that means I'm allowed to gain up to 30 now? Hopefully not. I'd love it if I could keep my weight gain to an absolute minimum.0 -

What's the book?
Active Birth is the name of the book. http://www.amazon.com/Active-Birth-Approach-Giving-Naturally/dp/1558320385/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1397772948&sr=8-1&keywords=active+birth I've really enjoyed it. It was recommended by a doula friend (I will not be having a doula at my birth, but I was using her experience to recommend something to make me feel more prepared). It has yoga exercises to practice (which I have done a few and enjoyed) and goes through the birth process (which I was fairly familiar with having been there twice - but I still learned some new things!).0 -

I have birthed 9 kids and I still get nervous in those final weeks. Every birth is different. I have been amazed to learn what my body is capable of doing. You will be too! With my first I found out I am allergic to the epidural so all my others were done without one. My last birth (2 months ago) was a water-home birth. It was the most amazing and wonderful birth experience. My second best birth was #8 in a hospital but with a very understanding free-spirited staff. I was able to walk around, eat, change positions, ect. There are a lot of options when it comes to birthing. Do some research, make a couple of different plans (as nothing ever goes exactly as planned), and focus on the end product...a health happy baby and mommy! Best of luck! :flowerforyou:0 -

I lost weight before gaining. Dipped down to -15.7 at one point and am now up 11lbs above prepregnancy. I viewed this as a 26.7lb gain but doctor days it is only 11.0
