What are your long term and short term weight loss goals?
Have you made any?
If so, what tools do you think will help you in making your goals?
What are possible setbacks?

Long term lose 150-165 lbs. It depends on where I feel good at.
Short term. Do as well as I can without losing my milk supply.
Tools. MFP (of course) my stroller and probably P90X
Possible setback. First time I started, I quit because of deaths in the family and pregnancy. Second time I quit was because an inlaw was making fun of my workouts. Once she was out of the picture, I was pregnant again. Setbacks I forsee this time would be if my milk supply drops. I'm also an emotional eater so I have to be careful to control that.0 -
My long term goal is 15-20 lbs. I'd like to lose at least 5 in the next month. I decided i need to eat better and exercise every day and thats where i need the most help and encouragement. I feel like i cant lose this weight or get my stomach back so i give up after a week of no progress.0

Good luck! Just take it one day at a time. I think logging and reading the various posts on MFP is a great motivator. I feel so much more in control when I log.0

I would like to lose 25 lbs in the next 90 days, 60 by the end of the year. I would ultimately like to lose 75 by this time next year.
My biggest challenge will be finding time to work out. Well, not finding the time so much as convincing myself to use extra time to work out. Summer is approaching quickly and I HATE working out in the California heat, so I think what will work best for me is dragging myself out of bed in the mornings before it gets too hot for my workouts. And doing fun things, like riding bikes, or going for hikes, so they don't seem like workouts. I used to ride my bike to work, and I would like to start doing that again.
Another challenge will be preparing healthy foods. Working full time makes that difficult, but if I manage my time, it should be ok. Wanting to feed my son healthy meals is a great motivator as well.0 -
Long term= 100 lbs
Short term = 30 lbs for this challenge
I think 24 is more realistic, so I'll be thrilled with that!0 -
I am committed to loose 30lbs, I am serious and need all the encouragement I can get.0

For the time being, my goals are; to stay active every day, improve my eating habits, log in to MFP every day, stay positive, and be here to support. and encourage all of you. Let's make this the best group we can !!!!0

My short term goals are to feel strong and healthy and hit 40mph on my road bike.
I am climbing Mt. St. Helen's in September and want to be strong enough to do it well.
Longer term goal: Goal weight of 145. I could go lower, once I meet that goal, but I was strong and fit at 145.0 -
Long term: 40 lbs
Short term = 20 lbs for this challenge
I don't have any setbacks and I'm aiming to continue working out every day I've been working out since April 23rd and that included changing my diet and eating healthier.0 -
Short-term goal is 10-12 lbs for this challenge. I am afraid to think about the long-term goal. 20 lbs would be nice but I will set this as my goal once I reach my short-term goal.0

My short term goal is to check in every day with MFP. My 90 day goal is to lose 30 lbs, and my long term goal is to get my booty down to 160lbs. I want to eat better, and instill a healthy lifestyle not only with myself, but with my children too. I need to realize LITTLE DEBBIE IS NOT MY FRIEND.......(even though she has never let me down) Bye Debbie, I'll miss you But it's for the best!0

Long term 100 lbs loss, short term, in the next ninety days I would kill to lose fifty or more,...ultimately its about getting my life back and being healthy for my kids, husband , and myself.0

My goal is to weigh 145 for my daughter's wedding in September. I currently weigh 155.5 lbs. (5/13/14) and my starting weight was 157 lbs. (5/11/14). I am excited about Spring coming, as we had a very cold and hard winter. What better time to start a new life style than in Spring.0

Long term Goal: loose at least 15 to 20 pounds , get lean and stay that way
short term goal: i want to stop drinking COKE COLA AND MORE WATER!0 -
I want to lose 30 pounds in this 90 day trek, but I think that may be a little aggressive for my age. I would be happy with 20.
So, short term my goal is to lose 3 pounds in 1 week, 5 pounds in two weeks, and 10 pounds in one month.
My two goals are 1) no more wine with dinner! and 2) exercise 5 x per week at 30 minutes per.
I hope focusing on these two things will make a difference.0 -
Longterm Goal is 100-150lbs. Shortterm is 2lbs a week... I started my own lifestyle change a month ago on my own and just found this app. I am pleased to have an aid to keep track of what I am eating and know my limits.. I have lost 10 lbs before starting app then have lost 3 more pounds since signing up.0

I have a cousin's wedding on June 14th and will be seeing relatives that haven't seen me in a LONG time--when I was much smaller. I would like to lose 10 pounds by then.
Once I return from the wedding, I will set a goal for the remainder of this challenge.
My long-term goal is to lose 73.4 pounds.0 -
Short term: get anywhere in the whole world below 200 lbs (even if it's just barely).
Long term: after I hit that, maintain for the rest of the year and then see where I am---if I want to lose any more weight or if I'm happy there.
OVERALL GOAL: to break the yo-yo cycle.0 -
Long term = 40 pounds
Short term = 20 pounds
I log daily on MFP and I don't think I would have got this far without it. I love the success stories and read lots of posts for ideas. Possible setbacks would be overeating high calorie foods such as raw cashew nuts and peanut butter. I've pretty much cut out sugar so chocolates, biscuits and sweets are no longer a temptation.
I don't want to yo-yo anymore.0 -
My long term weight loss goal is to reach 145-130lb, to be in the healthy BMI. Short term I would like to lose weight to get my sugar and cholesterol levels down, so I won’t have to take any medication.
Short and long term, I would love to be able to walk without being out of breath and being able to cross something off my bucket list.
I had a heart rate monitor, which allowed me to keep track of my true calories burned during a workout. I need to find it because, I found I lost more weight with counting calories with the heart rate monitor then with using the generic numbers in MFP or any other counting system.
My only set back I see right now is myself, well actually my knee. I am scheduled to have knee surgery on June 5 to repair a torn meniscus. This is my third time getting my meniscus repaired in my left knee. Praying and hoping this is the last time. The doctors said I need to build up the muscles in my leg to take some pressure off of the knee. So I have been working on strengthening my leg. I also believe if I lose weight, I wouldn’t be having all of these issues. I am 5’2 and weight over 200 pounds, which is not good for my body.0 -
Long term weight loss goal is to reach 66kg (145lbs).
Mid term weight loss goal is 73kg (161lbs)
Short term weight loss goal is to reach 90kg (198lbs)
I'm pre-diabetic, so keeping my carbs below 130g/day is essential for me to lose weight. Even when I stick to 1200 calories, if I consume more than 150g of carbs consistently, I gain weight.
The good thing is that I know this to be true for me, so I easily see where I'm going wrong. I lose weight fairly steadily with 1200 calories if I keep my carbs below 130g.0 -
I'd love to lose at least 10lbs by mid June, we are going on vacation AND I'll be seeing my exhusband so there is ALOT of motivation to do so. Ultimately, I'd love to lose 70 pounds all together. I had lost 30 pounds last year and then over the last 7 months I gained almost all of it back. So mad at myself. I had a boyfriend and he was a huge wonderful distraction so I got sidetracked. BUT i'm back and super motivated.0

My long term goal is to get to about 128, a weight loss of 40 pounds. I would like to run a 10k by my son's birthday in mid-August.0
-
My long term goal is to lose 52 lbs.
Short term - I would love to lose 22 lbs. in the next 90 days.
My biggest challenge is working out alone.
I need all the encouragement I can get.0 -
My short term goal is to lose 25 pounds by July 10! It's gonna be some work but I know I got this! My long term goal is to lose 120 pounds. I know I got big goals but I have to do this. I know I can just need to stay focused!0
-
My long term goal is to lose 70 lbs. 140-150 is a healthy weight for my age/size, and I think I could maintain that. Short term (i.e. 90 day) goal would be to lose 12 - 15 lbs. I'm hoping that all my landscaping projects help burn some calories this summer. I'm also taking walks more frequently - did a brisk, hour-long walk with my hubby last night. I always feel great after walking/exercising - I just have a hard time getting motivated! I'm hoping that by making a few friendly connections, I'll be more likely to continue using MFP.0
-
Long term goal: Be a healthy weight and get health issues under control and to keep using my fitness pal to keep on track. Lose 154 lbs (lots to lose)
Short term goal: Well I would like to lose 20 to 25 pounds in these 90 days.
The Biggest Challenge:
Exercise
I have a lot I can get done outside, I really don't like exercise and just ain't got the motivation to get started. So I am going to get my husband to start walking a mile with me at least 4 times a week then go from there.0 -
What are your long term and short term weight loss goals?
Short term, lose 3 lbs. Long term, size 7.
If so, what tools do you think will help you in making your goals?
MFP challenges, meal planning, tea, keeping it simple and focus on making these things habits.
What are possible setbacks?
Late afternoon and late evening snacking. I hope to use tea to calm down the urge to snack - I'm still having something, but it has no calories.
Not logging, or only logging 2/3 of the day. So I plan to prelog.
Skipping workouts. So I prelog the workouts too. I enjoy workouts, but this one can make you sore and I can find all kinds of excuses when my muscles are sore.0 -
I want to loose 15lbs in 90 days, I ve been following sw and maintaining cause been over indulging on syns, so going to log my food daily to help with the discipline of sticking to plan0
