No weight gain on my scale. My doctors scale says I gained 18lbs when I went in on Tuesday! I think I'll trust my scale since I've been using it since the beginning. At my doctors office, the scales vary on which room I use & time of day I go.

Hi Prego Ladies!!
I started my pregnancy out overweight at 5'6 at 187lbs. So I'm watching my weight really carefully. So far I'm at 16 weeks today and I weight 192lbs. It's a 5 lbs weight gain which was extrememly hard to control. But I'm pretty proud of myself for only gaining 5 lbs, my total pregnancy weight gain should be between 35-40lbs which is better than my first pregancy weight gain of 62 lbs! Here's to hoping I can keep it up for another 5 months!!!
Yay for EARLY MARCH babies!!!0 -

Well, finally passed my pre-pregnancy weight. Was really hoping not to, but didn't think I was going to be able to keep it under. I'm swelling a lot now, so I know that I have a bit of water weight. My blood pressure was also a little high at my appointment yesterday (I've NEVER had high blood pressure in my life, even during my first pregnancy). I don't know if it's because of my weight, or the swelling, or what. But keeping an eye on it. Hopefully I can stay steady the next few weeks until the little one is here!0 -
^^^ YOURE SO close!!! I'm sure it's water weight. You did great with weight gain. For sure you'll weigh less than prepregnant after little one is here.0

First, you ladies are remarkable. I genuinely feel this group has helped me remain motivated at a time I could have just gone nuts and eaten whatever.
27 weeks, up 12 lbs.
Ready for the 3rd trimester home stretch!0 -
Hi all, I have been following for a little while but not posted before. I have used MFP very successfully several times and have tracked throughout pregnancy to make sure I eat sensibly and enough!
I am 5'5 and my starting weight was 145pounds. This is my second pregnancy. My BMI was normal but a bit higher than my overall final target had been pre-pregnancy.
Now at 37 weeks and my weight is 160pounds.
So my total gained so far is 15pounds after losing a bit the first few months.
After not really putting on much weight for a while I am suddenly hungry all the time and able to eat without nausea and heartburn, probably as the baby seems to have dropped a bit! So I am putting on weight faster now. Which is all good.
I am ready for this baby to come along now though!0 -
I put on 2.5 lbs almost instantly (120 at 5'4" to 122.5) and have maintained them pretty well the past few weeks. I'm 7 weeks now. I expect to be gaining a bit, as I used to undereat (1200 cals max) and that with a lot of running. I have had quite a bit of MS now, and I have two options: eat nothing or eat quite a bit. I switched myself to 1500 cals and am still running, but I'm definitely worried it isn't enough.0

Height: 5'7
Pre-preg: 145
6 weeks: 148
8 weeks: 152 soooooo bloated!!!
10 weeks: 146.6
12 weeks: 146.2
Almost through the first trimester! So far so good! Trying to decide how much to adjust my cals in the second trimester.0 -
1st pregnancy
Height: 5'6
Pre-pregnancy goal weight: 120
At home scale: reading 120 - 121 in February (unknowingly pregnant) but I don't know how much I trust that compared to those in the doctors' offices.
March 26 - 8 weeks, 2 days: appointment with primary doctor to confirm pregnancy, weight = 123.0
April 14 - 11 weeks: 1st routine OB appointment, weight = 123.8
April 19 - 11 weeks, 4 days: 1st ultrasound, weight = 121.0 (she didn't use the same digital scale this time so I don't buy this weight...)
May 19 - 16 weeks: 2nd routine appointment, weight = 124.7
June 16 - 20 weeks: 2nd ultrasound, weight = 128 (home scale, right before appt, read 126.6)
June 23 - 21 weeks: 131 (Yikes, a 3 pound gain!! baby girl must have had a growth spurt this week!!)
July 14 - 24 weeks: 3rd routine appointment, weight = 132.1 (home scale, right before appt, read 131.4)
July 30 - 26 weeks, 2 days: 133.2, home scale
August 4 - 27 weeks: 137.2, home scale - after calorie intake was done for the day. 5 pounds in 3 weeks seems reasonable but 4 of it was in the last week.
August 11 - 28 weeks: routine appointment, weight = 136.4. 4.3 pound gain since last routine appointment.
August 25 - 30 weeks: routine appointment, weight = 140.4. Another 4 pounds between dr appointments, YIKES!
September 8 - 32 weeks: routine appointment, weight = 140. Holding steady for now; back to loss of appetite though...
September 22 - 34 weeks: routine appointment, weight = 147. I hate it when they use the old-school scale and not the digital. I don't feel any bigger than I did 2 weeks ago...hopefully in two weeks I'll be weighed on the digital and be a little more trusting of the number.
6 weeks to go and up 25ish pounds0 -

Doctor said I am still on track and if I hit the 25-30 pound mark by birth that I am a "Star pupil" lol. Just been trying to log and not overdue anything but also enjoying the food part of beng pregnant and not being overly worried at this point since I know I will have to really watch my food intake after.
I will say I am at the "Done" point of being pregnant and ready to have this baby out! I want to fit in my old clothes again and going through my old clothes will be like getting a new wardrobe all over again!0 -
I've officially gained the most I ever have for either a pregnancy and in general! LOL Thankfully I've been eating healthy foods throughout, so I'm healthy. Hopefully this big baby will come soon and I can start losing again! Midwife estimates the baby is about 8.5-9lbs already!

40 weeks: 198.4lbs
almost 54lbs gained!!!

You are amazing! I have to ask, how did you manage not to gain anything? I just wake up in the morning and I'm heavier!
Well, I lost 18 lbs in 1st Tri due to both morning sickness, and switching my horrible eating to a healthy eating plan. I certainly didn't diet on purpose or anything! And I didn't track my calories after awhile, because I was getting too stressed about trying to keep them low. I basically just ate when I was hungry, and only ate until I was satisfied (not packed full!). I also drank a lot of water, which not only kept me feeling fuller but a lot of times I tend to mistake thirst for hunger.
I'm still gaining, though... I've been really bad about what I've been eating the last week and a half! We went out a few times, it was our anniversary, special events at church, etc... I am not looking forward to weighing in on Friday morning. :blushing:0 -

Not bad considering I haven't had morning sickness with the exception of a couple weeks off and on, which means still needing to control my big appetite. I'm almost 13 weeks and am pretty happy with only 2.7 lbs but I was hoping to lose first trimester since I'm already about 50 lbs overweight. My doctor wants me to aim for a 20-25 lbs gain, which surprised me because I thought she would have suggested only 15 lbs. I'm not sure how long I can get away with maintaining this weight, but I want to as long as possible so I don't gain TOO much.
If I want to aim for 20 lbs maximum, how would that normally be distributed in terms of gaining it slowly in the appropriate amounts for second and third trimester? Just a general idea?0 -

Trying to up my walking to 5 miles a day total and my Tracy DVD. I know this guy is going to be big also. My belly is all business. I just hope he stays under 10lbs!0 -

Ha ha! Thank you! (I love you! lol) I gained slowly and steadily all over, so I think it will be more apparent with the "post-partum shift"....you know, where all of the fat drops into the bottom half? LOL I don't feel that big though or that uncomfortable! Its shocking to me, too, that I've gained that much! I know about half will come off the first month and I'm really looking forward to that!0 -

Well, that was a huge gain this week. I'm not surprised (although I don't think it's entirely accurate, since I'm constipated and have finally gone to the bathroom twice after weighing in this morning.) But we ate out a few times, and I had some seriously high calorie meals! I'm still swelling a LOT, so I'm hoping at least half the weight I've put back on is water. A girl can dream, right? LOL
I was in L&D the other night getting a non stress test as my blood pressure was a teensy bit high. I was having contractions, and I'm apparently already dilated to a 3. So I'm hoping this baby will come in the next few weeks, and not go overdue! I'm tired of stressing over the weight gain!0 -

Week 8-160.2
Week 12-161
Week 15-160
I actually started out heavier with this one than with all of my others. Little disappointed in myself that I had gained so much prior to getting pregnant. I typically was around 145, but gained over 10lbs in no time from not working out and not eating well.0
