I always weigh myself after that - it's a consistent point to compare from week to week. And I was down to 133 pounds this week, which I'm more than happy with!
That is where I hope to be some day. You give me hope!

First off, congrats to ALL of you who managed to loose this week:)
Since I went on diet break this week, it's the first week in 10 weeks that I haven't lost.
Nice prize, flumi, I was moved reading about it. I think that anything that requires such hard work and that is being acknowledged somehow, is a big trigger for me in a positive way.
@Neonbeige. Same. I was taken over by a "zombie-bingeing alien monster" this week. I literally woke up after wolfing down a whole bag of onion flavor rings chips in 5 mins and other junk foods too. Haven't done this in weeks. Yesterday I came back from the gym and...yup...TOM! I've never been someone who used it as an excuse for anything cept a blank check to hot tea and heated water bottles. Was surprised at how strong those urges were.
Today I'm doing a half FD, just to try stop this nonsense.thecarbmonster wrote: »Yay yay new week
Done 14 weeks y'all! Overall lost 40.6 since July and 33 with this group since 8/5/2014. Best part, this week officially brought me under 300 pounds. Hasn't set in yet! I felt stuck there forever and that my next step would just to keep getting bigger and bigger...350...375...who knew where it was going to stop.
There isn't a huge change, but thought I would share. Started at 339, but this before is at 329 and the "in progress" on right is 299, so 30 pound difference pic.
I'm actually glad to see even a bit of change in my upper stomach because with my big ole hips I won't be really seeing any difference in the mirror for a loooong time.
@carby. Wow, you're an inspiration! By posting those pics you took your claim. It shows me how far you're willing to push yourself. I can honestly say, you did something I wouldn't have dared to do. I'm terribly afraid of being vulnerable. The pics shows us how much you trust us and that you're willing to be vulnerable with us. That's huge, cause it takes great courage.
That courage will take you farther than most of the people you know IRL, I'm sure. Cause in my opinion, courage is the fuel the soul needs to explore unknown territory. I'm so happy for you and very proud of you

I am so happy for you. 52 lbs is amazing! Does not matter how much you have to loose 52 lbs is nothing to sneeze at!! You are doing great and are a valuable asset to this group. Thanks for all of your info too!
With all of the acts of courage lately (namely from the carb'ster) I guess I'll finally come clean...I hit 10% lost. I used 505 lbs as my beginning weight on MFP, but I didn't know for sure...I was ~2 weeks into 5:2 before I received a scale that could "handle" a value that high. I expect I was over 510 but didn't want to overestimate. The # I originally used (what I thought I weighed) was 460...imagine my surprise when I stepped on the new scale and found out my true weight (for the first time in over 8 years).
Anyway, now you can really understand when I talk about my high TDEE...originally it was close to 4000. I use ~75% of MFP's calculated TDEE so my current non-fast day allowance is ~2700. 600 is my target during fasts.
Good luck this week everyone.

Thanks @orlcam. You have nothing to worry about when posting your weight. We are all supporters here and we will be with you every step of the way. I am just happy you found something that has helped you start your journey.

@orlcam. Weight is just a number, it doesn't define you.(Although I suspect we are all here because we let it do just that!) So you're a big lad... You are taking positive steps to improve your health, who the heck has a right to judge?!
Your generousity in setting up this group and modelling the positivity and support for all group members says far more about you than a number ever will.
End of sweet talk. now nail this week's fasts!

@Orlcam. ^^^^^ this. You are an inspiration to us all. You give great advice, help when we are struggling and are always there. The number is just that a number. We are all bigger than we want to be, and we're here for the same reason. To make that number smaller. As @jemimasmum said "end of sweet talk" and kill it this week.0 -
Orlcam you are doing brilliantly! And thank you for setting this group up and encouraging memebers to join, it's a real help.0

Yep, I know most of what you guys are saying, but there's still a sense of shock and embarrassment that goes along which such large numbers. Especially considering I was a pretty decent athlete when I was younger. Hey, but I'm not looking for sympathy or forgiveness...I'm looking for redemption, which I'll provide myself.
Thank you for the support...it makes the journey that much more enjoyable and the end goal that much more attainable.

As to setting up the group...I know that any of you would have done the same. I just happened to wake up first that morning0

I feel ya! There is definitely a sticker shock that comes with actually putting a number on it. But I think it's also an important step of accepting, learning, and changing.
I'm so proud of ya @orlcam!
@foamroller Definitely wouldn't have come this far without you and this group!
