Well, that's what should* happen anyway. If they don't, don't worry about them. People shouldn't make fun of anyone for making resolutions to lose weight and get more fit. Encourage them and just maybe they'll stick with it! :flowerforyou:

Absolutely. One of my favorite people to see at my gym is this guy who started coming about a year ago. He was pretty heavy, but he kept coming, and kept working hard... he's been coming consistently for at least a year, now, and his body has transformed! He's still overweight, but is WAY slimmer than he was a year ago. I haven't said anything to him because he's about my age, and I don't want to send the wrong message - but it does make me happy when I see him there (which is just about every time I go).

And coming in at GOAL!!!: ANACONDA469 (and her wet butt!! )
I added 1.75 miles this morning. I would have gone double that, but my run was interrupted by a family "emergency" (our dogs got out of the yard - whoops - they are back home and fine but I decided to call it quits... maybe I'll go out for another run this afternoon, to work off the raspberry pie and bacon I'm now eating for breakfast... I love day-after-Christmas breakfast of pie!!).
SUNFLOWER9194: just keep on truckin' even though you're not going to make goal. This is the first month in awhile that I"m (sort of) on track to make goal. It can be discouraging, but so long as you keep moving, it's all good!!0 -

New ttd 81.4 miles weather has been kind so far this week! Let's see what bonus I can get0

It's been a whirlwind since my boys got home Sunday night. I hope everyone had a good Christmas. I had a wonderful few days with family and great food. Definitely too much french toast casserole and too much pie! Now to get moving and work it off.
I just checked my miles on Garmin and realized my run this afternoon takes me to goal!! I'm going to have some bonus miles this month because I still need to do a few long training runs. See you all soon!

4.2 more miles added on an afternoon run with my brother-in-law's new girlfriend. She is pleasant. That is the first time I've done 2 runs in one day. It was not so bad.
MTD: 216.95
I'm 1.11 miles away from being in the green... sooooo close, and yet, at midnight, will be soooo far away. I am hopeful I'm going to make goal this month, but I'm going to have to up my game just a bit... I think I'll need to get another 5 miles, or so, in on foot, in addition to 2 more spin classes to make it. Maybe I'll go running again tomorrow. Maybe the new girlfriend will want to go again - lets her get out of the house full of people and yet not seem like she's trying to get out of the house full of people. God bless running!
