    No miles today. Weights today. Has anyone used compression wraps for shin splints? I've got a fascia on the muscle on the front of my tibia that is swollen and without a wrap on it, gets tight enough to pull on the lateral collateral ligament of my knee. I haven't been on my skis since Wednesday. Biking helps but without Motrin and biking I can't even walk down stairs.

    Once again, I'm falling behind on my goal. Plus, I've only managed to lose two of the eight pounds I gained over the holidays. And yeah, I know that these two comments are related. :(

    So 17.5 miles out of a 40 mile goal. At least I'm still moving, right? *sigh*

    @DEAN - Sorry to hear you're in pain! Yes, a compression wrap will definitely help as with the NSAIDS, ice and gentle stretching and flexing to strengthen as much as your shins will tolerate it. Good luck, my friend!

    @CEECEEMEE - Hang in there....we all go through that from time to time....just ride it out and do your best to get more regular with your moving!! :flowerforyou:

    Strength and Stretch class this morning and some home bike riding in the afternoon = 7.43 miles.
