21 Day Fix?

@KellyBgetsfit I've been doing okay on the 3DQF. Yes it's restrictive but you eat so often that you hardly have time to miss anything. Admittedly, I'll probably be thrilled when I can have a whole egg and not just egg whites but I added some red pepper flakes to mine this morning and they were good.
@lfronczek If you're concerned with eating back the calories, your best bet is to use a heart rate monitor. If you aren't, I'm following @KellyBgetsfit's example and just creating my own.0 -
Day 1 for me was great. The workout kicked my butt. I am glad I saw it through. My nutrition has been great today as well.0

Jess05071981 Glad you made it through the first day. I am feeling just the right amount of soreness today after doing the first two days. Enough to let me know I did some exercise. Not so sore that I can't do day 3 tomorrow. Of course, I say that now. When I wake up tomorrow, I may be singing a different song.0

I ran into a problem today because, for some reason, the Lower Fix workout won't play on any of our devices. We tried it on three different ones. I have a replacement copy coming but, in the meantime, I had to come up with something else. The insert says to replace a 30 minute workout with the 10 minute ab workout if you're pressed for time. So I can do that on top of the lower body workout I did in lieu of using 21DF. The Pilates Fix seems to be playing just fine (I have it going in the background) so I'll be back on track bright and early tomorrow morning.0

I am ready for a day off! LOL!! I might double up one day I can take a full rest day. I started out with 12 this morning for lower and had to drop down to 10 pounds.
Satia- I had that problem with one of the disks on T25. I could not get it to play. How was the ab workout? My abs are so sore, I have been afraid to try it.0 -
@KellyBgetsfit I'm just glad that beachbody didn't hesitate to offer me a replacement. It's slowing me down a bit but not stopping me altogether. The ab workout is pretty intense. If your abs are sore, you'll definitely feel it. Maybe on the day you double up, skip the second 30 minute workout and try the abs. After all, she says you can replace a day with just the abs so you'd still be doubling up and it is an option on at least one of the days to double up. I don't want to scare you off or anything but the ab workout isn't easy. It's harder than most I've tried.0

Hi everyone.... I am on my 21 days.... So I'm on day 18... so far it's been great. However I needed serious help to loose weight and get in shape... I have follow the eating plan on the workouts I started on simple following the modifier. Then on second week I added a 2 to 5 lbs weights. On my 3rd week I started doing the workouts double. And to always making sure my body doesn't get use to it. I will keep doing this workouts after my 21 dayjust will be adding more weights and more workouts every week. (Making 1 week non diet with workouts and then starting on diet for another 21 days.0

jextry, I'm only on day 7 but, like you, I'm planning ahead. I am going to take a week off the 21DF after I've gone through it one time. During that week, I'll be doing other forms of exercise and enjoying my birthday. Then, I'll jump back into 21DF full throttle. Definitely enjoying the program even though sometimes it is tough.0

SatiaRenee... Yes I will be traveling Ayer I'm done with my 21 days. I tend to keep with exercises but I will follow the MFP nutrition until I get back.0

Finally experiencing success! Before I injured my knee last summer, I was doing yoga, using DVDs, sometimes walking, sometimes using a stationary bike. When I injured my knee, everything came to a grinding halt. I was eventually allowed to use the stationary bike but only for 30 minutes and it had to be at the easiest setting, with gradual (only once a month!) increases. But I was finally given the okay to do more exercise and 21 Day Fix was my choice because of the modifications.
Needless to say, I wasn't expecting a miracle and yet here I am over 3 lbs lost after only 2 weeks! Very happy. Next week I'll be doing my "after" measurements. And today is not my official weigh-in day but when I saw the numbers on the scale this morning, I had to share.0 -
Planning to start this in April- I ordered it today. I had a baby 6.5 months ago and gained 50lb (shamefully!) , I am struggling to lose the last 15lb and seem to have plateaued no matter now much I eat or don't eat- very annoying. I go back to work in 6 weeks and NEED to get back into my old clothes so hopefully this will help at least shift some of it.
30 minutes out of my day doesn't seem too much and I definitely need to do more exercise. I used to be so active before I got pregnant and I have really fallen off the wagon.
Good to read everyone's feedback- will let you know when I start as need some motivation!0 -
@moominpoo I'll be starting it over again on the 6th. If you think you'll be ready by then, I'll be happy to cheer you on. I've been blogging about my first time through here on MFP, linking to my online blog. (I'd just blog here but for some reason MFP flips my pictures sideways and I got tired of having to fix each and every blog post so just dumping a link was easier.)
You can find my blog here.0 -
I plan on giving it a shot starting next week.. I ordered everything and joined with a coach.. I've heard good things and from everyone's comments, it is giving me hope that I will overcome my past few months of laziness and weight gain.0

@Krafty131 I love 3 lbs in the first two weeks. And I'm only doing the modified version so, if you can go high impact, you'll probably see even better results. I'm thrilled though. Lovely the program and that I'm able to keep up in spite of my physical limitations.0
-
Ah brilliant Satia- I will add you if that's ok! I am also going to be doing the modified versions to start with x0

I don't know if Autumn Calabrese came up with the idea of the portion "tupperwear" but I think that was very ingenious. While I have trained hard for decades, doing myfitnesspal finally got me into managing my consumption... I think her exercise routines my be slightly lighter for me but am tempted to order it just for the tupperwear... :-)0

@clarkjf15 I have seen some people selling the containers, and only the containers, online. Brand new and still in the shrink wrap, even. Definitely worth looking into.0

I am on day 7 of the 21 day fix extreme, the workouts are INTENSE but I love it.0
-
I have had the 21DF since mid-October, I've started and stopped the program twice already. Both times I've felt amazing and lost a few pounds while following the program correctly. You'd think that would be enough to keep me going with it....!
I just re-started this past Saturday and I'm determined to stick with it. I could definitely use some friends to keep pushing me, and I'll do the same if anyone would like to add me!!
My problem has always been portion control so the containers are very helpful for me. I also love the workouts, I know I just have to give 30 minutes and I'm DONE! And Autumn definitely gets you sweating!0 -
@poliro22 I am halfway through my third and final week but I plan on doing 21DF again starting 6 April. We may not be synced up as far as the start/stop times but I'm happy to cheer you on.0
-
Well you can never have enough containers in your life as far as I am concerned0
-
I will complete my first round tomorrow! I am starting again. However, has anyone found that they plateau? I am doing extreme and the workouts are very hard.. but I am afraid that they are too short and my body will get used to them.0
-
@ana0415 Do you have both extreme and the original 21DF? I have seen a few people on teambeachbody who are doing both at the same time, doing two of each day's exercises on the same day. I think I saw at least one person who would do one in the morning and the other in the evening. Maybe you could try that, if you feel like you're hitting a wall.0
-
Finished yesterday and took my measurements today. I blogged about my 21 day journey and today I posted my results. http://satia.blogspot.com/2015/03/21-day-fix-results.html0
-
@Satia Such great results and inspiring too!
I just started today but had a few teething problems with the DVDs (all sorted now!)...Also the weights I had weren't heavy enough so went out and got another set today + some resistance bands.
I am not using the portion pots but am following the calorie guide given to me (1289) as I am pretty good with controlling my portion size, and trying to hit macros of 40/30/30 where possible.
Going to start again tomorrow- figured an extra day won't kill me!

@moominpoo Glad you worked out the DVD issues. My set I had a problem with one of the workouts. The company replaced it and, so I wouldn't lose too much momentum, on the day I was supposed to do the one workout (lower body fix), I went ahead and used a lower body workout in my DVD collection. Wasn't quite the same but I made sure I did 30 minutes and I did the abs workout that day as well.0
-
Well I am on Day 1 of the 21 Day Fix (its a restart). At my highest weight ever. Not impressed with my self. Looking forward to staying on track and having some friends to motivate me along the way. I am in Bermuda. Planning for this program will be key.0
-
@rainey4 I started my second round yesterday. I was very impressed with my results the first time around and hope to see similar results. I don't expect to see the same results but if I come close that would be great!0
-
i just ordered mine, i cant wait to start!0

Well had my followup regarding my orthopedic inserts. I have the okay to do DVD workouts, but for the next 2 weeks i have to have a 2 day break between workouts to let my feet rest. I can go for walks in between but thats it.0
