K, I hope your heart rate is better now! Let us know. My high B/P started that way, spiking at times, and with palpitations. I have been on meds for it for a while. Some is genetic, and some is just stress. My body had too much and reacts that way all the time. Relaxation techniques, yoga, and adequate sleep help. Not that I do it all the time, lol! Hopefully the meds will help, it takes adjusting. But doing extras for it is a great help.
We all get discouraged, but this is a great group! Starting small changes is a great idea. You may be eating veggies if you are hungry. That is important, it fills you up. On the days I am hungry, I find I did not eat my veggies and was relying on just the prepackaged food. Charting the meals with your snacks added is the greatest- That is why I like the MFP over the NuMi. I needed those split up so I could see each one separately with times as a guide. Drinking the water is easy to me. I started with that, and that way I could see how the food pattern worked best. I have been "spying on" peoples food diaries when it is posted to get ideas. Most people eat more healthy than I do in terms of fats and salt, even if I think I do well! Always room to learn!! Keep us up to date! You will do good, wanting to is the first best thing!! Jan
Thank you, Jan! Coincidentally, I am planning to try yoga this summer. My most successful exercise routine has been doing Leslie Sansone DVD's in the privacy of my air-conditioned living room. (Not an outdoorsy person and not a fan of the hot, humid, unreasonably long summer season here.) Anyone have suggestions on yoga DVD's to try? Keep in mind I am a complete beginner and not very flexible.
My BP has been a bit better and my heart rate was better while DH was away for a few days on a trip. The night he got back, I spiked again. I do NOT think he is to be blamed for my heart issues but he is incredibly stressed right now and I think I am absorbing some of it so it is contributing. That's the only explanation I can think of since my semester ended and, with it, the primary source of personal stress.
I am working on getting my veggies in. I love veggies but mostly prefer cooked and I just need to get back into the swing of cooking big batches.
I hope everyone is having a great week!

Hello Donna,
Thank you for contacting Nutrisystem! I would be happy to answer your question about updates to NuMi.
We do currently have an update on the way! A glucose tracker will not be a part of this newest update, unfortunately, but we do appreciate the feedback! I will be sure to pass that along to the NuMi team so they can take a look and see if that can be added in sometime in the future.
If there is anything else we can do to help, Donna, please let us know! Have a nice holiday weekend!
Thank you for choosing Nutrisystem, and we look forward to helping you achieve and maintain your weight loss goals!
Sincerely,
The Nutrisystem Counseling Team

Peripheral Neuropathy, is not always permanent. It depends on the cause. Most are permanent. Many can be helped if you can treat the underlying disease, and can improve symptoms with medication.0 -

Hi
Just use the Food Tracker here. I like it better anyway. You can Track carbohydrates and Sugar with it for example.
Options include
I hope this helps. So far NuMi strikes me as a waste of time to visit and use
Good Luck

Thanks for answering that question I had a suspicion the answer was yes, no, maybe depending.
I alleviated much of the numbness I was getting from walking on hard surfaces with cushion type thick work socks and wearing Shoes or Moccasins (Slippers) around the house rather than going barefoot.
I have been trying to avoid medications if at all possible.
To All: Have a Good Day

I'm only tracking my weight on NuMi to continue to get my bears.0 -
I too only use NuMi to track my weight to get my bears!0

Me three! I like those bears!
Happy Memorial Week-End! Everyone be extra safe!!
I am spraying on some Neem Leaf and Aloe Gel with lavender and peppermint! Apparently I forgot that poison sumac resembles Elderberry plants, and then I was just dumb and pulling up weeds by my fencing and it has, yes, 3 leaves. Duh!! But my yard is looking better! Lots of cherry tomato blossoms and some eggplant too. Bought some Wind Dancer Ornamental Grasses for where my doggies, fish, hamsters, squirrel, bird, and frogs are buried. I thought they would like the name. I bought some lantus and a sweet potato vine, too! So better exercise coming up when I plant!
K, I have a very sweet lady who teaches a modified Yoga for Seniors. She is really great at timing things slower, and also doing stuff on the floor all at once so we are not jumping up and down. First time on the floor in about 15 years, not including falls! LOL! By the 2nd class, I did not need help getting up! The reg DVD I saw on Amazon that seemed modified was still more advanced than a beginner, so I gave it to someone. I am still looking, too!0 -

The last couple times I have logged in here, I have had strange security warnings pop up pretending that I have been hacked and need to call a phone number for technical help. I am on a Mac and this is incredibly rare but having it happen twice while on this site makes me worried. Anyone else have anything peculiar happen here. FYI: both times I have used force quit to close the browser completely.0

Hi
Get a Ad blocker and never see that sort of thing again. It is a deceptive banner ad that is slipping past the people that run the banner ads. I believe it is an outside organization supplying the banner ads FWIW.
I also never see them as I run FireFox with the NoScript add on. I also have flash video set so that it can not run without an OK from me. I also like the Spell Checker in FireFox which helps me catch spelling errors on the forum.
Good Luck

I found two different Noscript when I searched. No script lite and no script security suite. which one?0

Hi this is the one I use https://noscript.net/
Reviews here, All 1475 of them.
https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/noscript/reviews/?src=api
From their website
" The NoScript Firefox extension provides extra protection for Firefox, Seamonkey and other mozilla-based browsers: this free, open source add-on allows JavaScript, Java, Flash and other plugins to be executed only by trusted web sites of your choice (e.g. your online bank).
NoScript also provides the most powerful anti-XSS and anti-Clickjacking protection ever available in a browser.
NoScript's unique whitelist based pre-emptive script blocking approach prevents exploitation of security vulnerabilities (known and even not known yet!) with no loss of functionality...
You can enable JavaScript, Java and plugin execution for sites you trust with a simple left-click on the NoScript status bar icon (look at the picture), or using the contextual menu, for easier operation in popup statusbar-less windows.
Better safe than sorry. That is why I run Norton Internet Security, MalWareBytes AntiMalware Home Premium, NoScript and Web Of Trust

How is everyone doing?
I have had pretty good FBS every day.
And, no crashes for a couple weeks now.
My Doctor is very pleased with my 24 pound weight loss, too.

Hi All
Congratulations on the Good FBS and no crashes.
Well I went walking and had a Banana Before and a NS Cinnamon Roll after and then said, darn forgot to do a FBS, Too late now!
I do agree with Momof2fromNJ that the NS diet helps a lot.
Cheers

Truly it does, Momof2 and Roger. I've pretty much stayed exclusively with NS foods, too.
I still have to be careful with fruits ... they really blow up my readings during the day ... but overall I am vastly improved.0 -
Hi everyone a quick fly by. I just entered my information onto the diabetic sheet, Is there a new one? The 1 I have the link to, no one has entered information for June. My eye doctor appointment went well for the diabetic diagnosis, No arterial changes, no retinopathy. I just have something else rare going on that can lead to glaucoma. No worries right now, but will seek out a second opinion.0
-
Sounds like you got a pretty good report and hope the other can be safely managed, Momof2.0

Hi All
It's Thursday
I looked at the TV and saw it was cooler and a little less humid so I figured I'll walk in comfort compared to Yesterday, Nope, didn't happen. Shortly after leaving the house and thinking what a nice cool breeze it started drizzling. It drizzled enough to make the roads wet and despite my judicious use of trees to stay dry I got damp too. It stopped right after I left McDonalds with my coffee. Then the breeze went away and the humidity went up. About three blocks from home the breeze returned, a little late 2.75 miles done for today despite Mother Nature.
Have a Really Nice Day
