Leaving Wednesday for 12 days of driving halfway across the country and back. To say I'm a little nervous would be a huge understatement! I have planned my foods for the drives, it's the resort living that scares me. I WILL do the best I'm able and I WON'T beat myself up over the choices I'm forced to make. And I'm going to try to get some steps in at every rest stop and hopefully get a few chances for some good runs.

Vacations scare me too, but they are fairly infrequent. One of the reasons I've started to like running is the ability to bring shoes and clothes almost anywhere, and get in a quick exercise. A lot tougher with a bicycle...

    Enjoy your vacation.

Went on vacation last week - so I'm not too sad that I didn't lose ... hoping next weigh in will be better. Went to a "weight loss physician" trying a new meal plan.

Thanks Matt! Thankfully vacations are few and far between here, too. We'll be in Breckenridge, so if the altitude allows it, I WILL be running. It's the "chuck wagon dinner" that scares the bejeebers outta me!

    Original weight: 388 lbs (7/1/2015)
    Current: 380 lbs
    Goal for 8/31: 370 lbs

Squats: 3 x 10 x 315 lbs at least once a week, max attempt of 600 at months end.

Struggles: Starting to get hungry more often - the willpower's holding, but listening to my stomach growl gets annoying.

Success: I hit my 600 squat already (and broke my 3 year standing record with an 1100 lb leg press!).

Sorry this is off topic but I've searched the help page and can't figure it out. How do I edit my original post to include updated weights? Thanks!

I quote my original, then remove the parts at the beginning and end that put it in a quote block (the bracketed parts).

Thanks! The pessimist in me is thinking 'that's the last of the easy pounds'.

They're all the same unless it's beginning water weight. Keep doing what you've done and you'll keep seeing what you've seen.

And +1 on the congratulations on meeting your goal.

Still pushing hard, and on track, to hit 100 lbs. down by my birthday (Sep. 3).

Ordered the parts to fix my bike; assuming I diagnosed the problem correctly, I'll start racking up some cycling miles soon. I thoroughly enjoy my weekend rides, and can't wait to get back to it.

Struggles or successes of your week: My weight loss stalled for a bit this week. I believe my body went in a bit of shock from losing so fast last week. However I went hard on my workouts and committed to the journey and everything seems to be going down again as of this morning. So yay to the progress and staying determined!

    Loss/gain for the month: -2.8

Struggles or successes of your week:

Week 1: Gained over the weekend but managed to get most of it back off. Drinking all my water and have successfully doubled my workout.
Week 2: Had to back off my workout.
Week 3: Not sure what is going on.
Week 4: Okay. My workout is still at 30 minutes but feels good so I'm sticking with that for a while. Guess my body was adjusting because I'm not doing anything different and have started losing again. Gotta stay positive.

Struggles or successes of your week: ongoing medical issues. Hoping when I see the neurologist next week he'll approve a more intensive treatment. Survival mode til then. I have to find better ways to stay low-carb with chewing and swallowing problems. Culver's and Dairy Queen aren't low-carb!

    Just keep floating, right?
