I have a video call weight training with Rachel McLish. I just love her video .Could I just use it for a workout plan? And just up my weight when needed? I was told once when the weight is getting easy then it's time to up your weight.but should I be able to do all the reps at first? She does 12 reps.0

Welcome to strength training land @Issmith1961. I didn't have a clue on where to start so when I found out about the strong lifts programme I downloaded the app and off I went. I think that is a good place to start for newbies because you just follow what is on the app and you can modify it too. I now make my deadlifts, barbell and overhead presses, squats and rows count for something. It is a fantastic way to build strength.
There is also strong curves and new rules of lifting for women, which I will absorb myself in when I've finished with strong lifts. You will get plenty of support here and all the best with lifting.1 -
I have also just started strength training (can only do upper body due to severe arthritis in my knee) and I am loving it. I do RPM (spin) classes for cardio and Body Pump classes (without the squat and lunge track) as well. Feel free to add me!1

As a side note, I also have arthritis, and knee issues (as a result of Insanity). After a month of StrongLifts, my arthritis and knee issues improved - drastically! Start out easy with low weights while perfecting your form, and eventually you'll luv/hate squats with the rest of us, lol!1
