I'm new to the group.
I lost 71 lbs last year just with calorie deficit but then I quit MFP and gained back 40lbs. I endulged in everything... wrong move. This time I want to not only do calorie counting but I want to exercise too. I've joined the YMCA and I swim and do water aerobics and walking and soon will start some kind of gym routine after I get the orientation this week.
I am 5'8 172.5 lbs and 45 yrs old.
I want to get down to 140 lbs.
I have about 32 lbs to lose.
I would absolutely love some accountablity friends !!

I have been trying to lose those last 5-10 extra pounds for over a year now. I stopped logging about 9 months ago and I am actually amazed that I haven't gained tons back. I am currently ~135 and would lobe to get to 125-130. I am also working on getting more toned. I am back on MFP starting today and plan to log every day. I would love some buddies and so plan on adding a bunch of you from this thread. Hope that is ok!0

Adding practically all of you- lets do this! I'm recommitting to losing 30lbs to achieve my goal weight of 115lbs today, 9/15. Let's keep each other motivated.0

Heya,
I've been struggling for the last 6 months or so to get rid those last 10+ lbs, or rather to change some of them them for muscles. Would love some new people around for input and motivation. Already added some of you but feel free to add me, too.0 -
I was on a very strict diet because I thought I was experiencing major allergic reactions to most foods. I had started on September 26, 2014. I lost almost 50lbs. and over 40 inches and was down to 122 lbs. When I recently finally got to get in to see a rheumatologist, I found out I didn't have food allergies after all. Soo........ I totally lost all control except for not having any caffeine now in almost 1 year. I have already gained 10 lbs since May 15th when I had my hysterectomy. I am joining a gym very soon. I am 5'4.5 tall, and would like to stay motivated inside the gym while maintaining a healthier way of eating. Any motivation and/or suggestions, etc. would be very much appreciated, as I am willing to help others as well!!0

Hi Abby! If you mean communicating with people on here:
- On the forums - just click "Quote" to post a public response to someone's post. That'll put a line of code at the top of your message, which will include whatever they said. (You can crop this, as long as you leave the brackets and everything between them [ ]
- In general - Click on someone's username. You should be able to send them a private message.

Hi! I'm hoping to rekindle my motivation here... I hit my heaviest around November (171lbs) and have been steadily trying to get back to the 138 I was for so long. At this point, even the 140's would be fantastic.
I'm 5'7, currenting 160 lbs. I carry it mostly in my hips. I'm less concerned about actual numbers on the scale and more concerned about the fact that there's such a disparity between my hips and my waist. It's hard to find slacks that don't leave me with 8" of waistband...
If anyone wants a daily "check in" buddy to say, "Hey! Did you run/walk/lift/do anything today?" let me know.0 -
Count me in, need to loose 7 to 10 lb!0
-
I'm in too! I need to drop 5-10lbs and lean back down.0

Yes, I'm looking to take a slow and controlled approach to this.0
-
I've not been on MFP that long and would love some buddies for motivation! I don't have much left to lose but am trying to focus on improving fitness and reducing body fat. Feel free to add me :-)0
-
Also looking for some friends to help keep me accountable! I'm doing a fitness challenge at work. I just want to lose those last 5-10 lbs and tone up! Add me!0
-
I'm 136 pounds and looking to get to about 125 and tone up after having my second baby 3 months ago. I need accountability! Add me if you'd like!0
-
I've added you - encouragement along the path makes it so much easier doesn't it?!0
-
I'm back on MFP, trying to get back on track. I'm looking for accountability buddies. Happy to co-motivate in any way I can. 5"5, 141, looking to lose 10-11 (idealistically lose 15, but I'm a realist )
I've added a few of you. Hope to see you in the journey!0 -
Sending a request! Ive been back after a long time myself. Anyone else feel free to add me too0
-
Wow! This seems like the perfect place for me! I'm currently working my way through pharmacy school, but would really like to loose 15-20 before I get married in a year or so. I don't have any MFP friends yet, but would love to keep up with all of your successes (and have some accountability buddies, too!). So glad I found this group0
-
I'm getting back on track and looking to lose 20-25 lbs. I could definitely use some additional support so please feel free to add me.0
-
I have 18lbs to lose....I'll add you0
-
I'm in. I'm hoping to lose 20 lbs, but ideally would like to focus on sustainable, healthy habits and then hope the weight gets to where it needs to be!0
-
Any and all of you are welcome to add me!!0

I have used MFP over and over again, but always seem to fade away. Accountability is the missing ingredient. It isn't enough to be accountable to myself. I need daily interaction that keeps me accountable. I would like to participate in this group, please.
I am 5'2" with bad scoliosis. I weigh 128lb. but I feel flabby. I am 57 years old and over the past 15 years I've lost a lot of muscle mass.
My goal is to build strength and muscle mass (if that is even possible at my age) as a way of supporting my twisted frame. I have chronic pain.0 -
I am so on your track! I have always struggled with a 10-20 lb. excess in body fat. I start and sputter out because there was no one to connect with and be accountable to.0
-
Hey all! I'm also looking for some accountability buddies and am re-starting. Feel free to add me We've got this ladies!0
