Congratulations to everyone with scale and non-scale victories and your new commitments for this week! Way to go!!! I am finally home after visiting my new grand baby for 2 weeks. Despite all the tempting sweets I ran into, I lost .8 of a pound since my last weigh-in. Plus, I am going to have to retire these pants I'm wearing today because they look so baggy. Yay!

Yeah, I always colour my own hair. I just buy a box I like and go for it. I have never had any issues but I have really short hair so I just let the colour grow out. My favourite is the blue black! It actually came out a nice colour this time, not as light as sometimes and not as white blonde but I like it.

Hello all. I'm joining the conversation! My goal this week is to move my body a minimum 30 minutes a day. Last week I started the CIZE program and am absolutely loving it. The program is 6 days a week, so I find something else to do on Sundays. Yesterday I rode my bike 9 miles. This Sunday I'll likely hike. We'll see. I'm also committing to tidying up around my apartment. Want to start the year off with things in order as life will get very busy come January. Looking forward to the mutual support!

Hi everyone! Happy December. I've been a little MIA since the holiday, but back at home and settled down. This week I am committed to taking my lunch to work at least 3 times along with lots of veggies! Lost a little this week, which was a HUGE success from the long weekend! Good luck to everyone and have 'light' thoughts!!

Hi @BeautyNovice ! Thanks for joining our group! What is the CIZE program? --- Hi, @tmtost79! That is *great* you were able to lose over the holiday weekend! Motivation to stick with it!

    How is everyone else doing?

I did 40 minutes on the treadmill this a.m. OK, not going to lie - it sucked. I mean, I'm glad I did it, but my calves hurt, my knee had a dull ache & I had the thought of "How did I let myself get to this?" I know it will get better. This is the first workout of many and I'll get stronger and more fit, but . .. gah! Definitely going to invest in stabilization running tights though. Those have always been a life-saver as far as knee-pain, but the pair I have is too small (along with half my closet of clothes!) .

@KrisM111 pick music you like and play it you won't seem to focus on the aches as much. I seem to have a rough time with the first half hour then after that either I found my groove or my body is use to the dull ache. LOL not sure which. My left leg is great I damaged and had my right knee fixed at 18 without much success. So I have a lot of atrophy of the right leg. When I was chunky you didn't notice it now that I have lost the weight it's very noticeable. But I'm at the age I don't care. when I was 18 it was the end of the world. Now it's like you couldn't pay me to wear shorts so It's no big deal what my legs look like. LOL.

Hi All, Happy Tuesday! (I'm trying to convince myself its a good day:), whatever it takes right?) I went to the gym last night and did half hour on treadmill (I'm capable of more but just was not into it). Work is stressing me out today. I usually feel better after the gym but sometimes feel defeated by the day. I agree with the playing the music, I can't work out without it (keeps me focused). I have limited time to get to the gym tonight but will think outside the box and try to do something at home tonight - maybe free weights or wii with hubby?

I have to laugh alittle because I start thinking about the fact that we have to force ourselves to exercise so that our bodies get enough movement so that we will not blow up like ticks. Sorry it just seems funny when you really think about it - I mean they did not have gyms back in the day! LOL good for them!

I took a day off from the gym today because I am so sore from two days of consecutive workouts. My trainer kicked my butt (and abs) yesterday and am feeling it today. I have a session tomorrow at 6am so I am sure Thursday will bring more pain. It's nice to have the pain actually because it means that I have challenged myself a bit more than I usually do.

As for work, is it Friday yet? I was off for a week at Thanksgiving and coming back after that is always a challenge.

@KrisM111 CIZE is an at home DVD workout program from Beachbody that is dance based. So much fun! You'd think I was selling it, I'm so excited about it. But I'm not selling it. Just, for the first time I'm working out and I'm not dreading it because I'm having too good a time. Thanks for the welcome!

I'm glad to read that others are having such a good week so far. It hasn't been the greatest for me. I'm very stressed cause the semester ends next week and I have a lot of makeup work to do. I've had a migraine for over a month now so it really set me behind in school and just life in general. I've been doing ok with my calorie intake, but too much physical activity makes the pain skyrocket. Some days I try to exercise through the pain but other days it's not possible. Luckily I see a neurologist on the 8th so fingers crossed they can figure this out and I can get back on track =)

If you want to check out dvd's before you buy them go on Totalfitnessdvd's.com they usually have a small clip of exercise dvd's so you can check it out to see if it's something that would even interest you. I know there were some I said OH NO I'm not up to that. LOL

Hearing others talk about using the treadmill made me push myself into dragging mine from the garage into my family room. Of course, first I had to move all the boxes that I had stacked on top of the treadmill. That was a workout in itself. When I finally got it in place I only managed to do six minutes on slow.

To finish wellness program (strength training 2 more times this week, running tomorrow and Friday, and trying out Pickle Ball for first time), reflect upon successes and contemplate next steps -- mainly where to get positive motivation and support to reach goals and outline small, weekly goals to reach lofty, big picture goals.

@cshock93 I suffer from migraines too I take topomax every day probably for the last 20 years. If i miss a dose or am under stress I will have one still. Without the drug I had the migraines 28 out of 30 days of the month. It took a lot of trial and error to find the drug that worked best for me. Don't lose hope. :)

@2020pinktogo I've been taking Topamax for the past 8 years or so. It has been working great for me, but for the past month I've had a migraine that won't let up. My primary doctor and the er can't break it. They said the only thing to do next is go to a specialist.

@KrisM111 I've never heard of stabilization running tights! I have had issues with my knees since I was a teenager! Sounds like something I need to know about!

My goal this week is to get solidly back into the routine I was in before Thanksgiving so that I can reach a normal weight BMI by December 31st.
    1. Log daily
    2. Sleep at least 7 to 8 hours per night
    3. No processed foods
    4. Stay active
