    wow ... I am a bit behind here ... the Annual Family Christmas Tree Hunt and wiener roast and then full blown party time after that... three very late nights!! 29 people and 5 little kids... and the perfect topper to it all.. Santa came and checked in on the little kids to make sure they are being good!!!

    Goal for December - 120 miles & 10 over 10,000 steps

    Total - Week 1 = 23 miles & 2 over 10,000.
    Total - Week 2 = 24.9 miles & 2 over 10,000 steps

    Total of 47.9 miles & 4 over 10,000 steps.

    Dec 15 - 1.8 miles .....back at work and glued to my desk
    Dec 16 - 3.2 miles - ha ha ... made two trips to the stationary store - and dammmmm fell on the icy sidewalk. Nasty!!

    I am off for 4 days ... so hopefully I catch up on some miles. I have my Dear Hubby's cold now ...oh just lovely!!!

    I don't know if I will be walking outside though - I haven't checked the temperature yet and it was snowing when I went to bed. The temps today are only supposed to be a high of -10 Celsius. It is still dark out and will be for a couple of hours yet and the wind is up because the smoke on the outdoor wood stove is blowing straight sideways....my miles might be downstairs with Leslie Sansone video :):) After all.... my basement is clean and organized now, everything where we want it to be located ...so NO EXCUSE!!!!

    Hi All my friends, I miss seeing everyone's post, I have done nothing with myself and I am not happy, so this is why I haven't been on.
    Well anyway I started to walk today I did my LS 40 min walk early this am.
    I'm such an idiot we had such great weather this month of December I should have been outside walking but Noooooo I choose to sit inside. Moving forward......

    Should is such an awful word bgoddess-just eliminate it from your vocabulary and you will be so much more energized. :smile: The phrase that you need to be proud of is I started to walk today I did my LS 40 min walk early this am! You GO!!!! We are super proud of you for doing that!!!!! :+1:

    You are not an idiot you are simply human like the rest of us and let's face it, some days/months/years/decades :laugh: we all sit too much!!! But the key is, we all got up and got moving and it is not a perfect science yet. So, you should do whatever you darn well want to do as we are all "works in progress" and we love it that you are one of us!!! :drinker:

    Hey everyone! I have been soooooo sick and I just basically had to check out for a while. I could not breathe and went to a couple of docs before I finally got some medicine to help me kick this funk.

    I saw on LS website that her walking plan for December included dvd's that I do not have yet. :-( I figure at this point of the year, I am going to do what I can because I am still afraid that I have not fully recovered. I just cannot get my nose to stop driving me nuts! YuckO!

    My psycho sister and my selfish niece form Hades are about to join us until year end and I will not have any space to get my walks in. *sigh* These two are the biggest slobbo's I know. Plus one will have to stay in the computer room and that's where I do my walks. (she whined) I am going to do my best to just remain positive and make it through to the end of the year! I cannot wait until January. I have no excuses and want to really get some poundage off this time! I just need space! ;) I think I am going to start out with a mile and see how I feel.. and if I am still feeling good, I will plug in another mile. I do not want to over do it. Maybe I will be able to get a walk in when they are upstairs and I have the family room to myself! Wish me luck! :)

    been a busy month! so close to my goal. Been feeling so sluggish, found out my thyroid is way out of whack. 4.89, way to hypo for me. meds being adjusted and hopefully will give me more energy.

    Got all my Christmas shopping done, I did the grocery shopping today, tomorrow is a cookie making marathon with my DIL. busy weekend. will be glad when the holidays are over. the new year start with me getting back on track.

    Bandit I am so sorry to hear about your thyroid. My daughter-in-law has hashimoto's disease and she has to adjust her thyroid meds often as well. It is not fun I know. However, if you did all that with no energy, my hat is off to you!!! :+1:

    so I think I have a ham string strain. my thigh and back of the knee has been bothering me for a few weeks, last night I heard a pop and then the pain. I am using a brace and trying to keep it up when sitting. I didn't do my workout today cause of pain. not sure I can lift my leg to do the lifts. So I am most likely not going to make my goal this month. If it doesn't get better after the holidays will go see the ortho and get an mri. seems like its always something! First the thyroid goes bonkers and now the thigh!
