Great looking bump, Bananas! Not long to go now!

Marie, I was originally due 6th June but they moved it to the 4th when I had my scan. I have always gone 11-12 days over though so I am expecting it to be mid-month too.

I am 15 weeks today and have lost that half pound I put on last week - I think I must have just been retaining water or something. So I am still 2.4kg down from my start weight.

The closer I get the more impatient I get! It's getting very hard with all the holiday parties and festivities, shopping, decorating, cooking and entertaining. All I want to do is wear my giant pj's, robe and slippers, sit in my reclining chair and read my novels. I never thought I would ever say this but I want someone else to do the cooking and I have lost my desire to work out. I'm still getting myself to do something 4-5 days a week though because I realize in the first few weeks after baby is born I won't be able to do anything.

Great job, everyone! Especially with the holidays!

fernt21 - totally understandable, especially now! And I was able to start walking the day I got home from the hospital with my first (although it was at a pretty slow pace), so you may be able to do something before getting cleared to do the real exercise again. :)

Fernt - maybe your body is telling you to charge your batteries and get ready??? I have always lost weight quickly after having a baby despite not doing any exercise as between breastfeeding and long walks with the baby it just fell off. Maybe not the same exercise fix that you want, but your priorities definitely change with a newborn :)

I am almost 39 weeks and still at 131 lbs, curious to see how christmas affects that. With christmas and multiple family events to host and attend i'm feeling exhausted. My OB thinks the baby might make a bit of an early appearance, but to me he feels like he isn't coming out anytime soon.

Fern, whether that baby is early or late, it is not long to go now! Well done on managing your weight throughout. I love the dress you are wearing in your photo - is it that Isabella Oliver one? If so, I had my eyes on it in early pregnancy, but by the time my bump appeared and I went to buy it, they had sold out. Looks great on you! Enjoy that bump whilst you still have it, I always miss mine when it is gone.

I am aiming to maintain this week - it is going to be hard with all that food around! I have just done 50 min on the exercise bike to offset the cheese and crackers that I surrendered to earlier.

    Happy Christmas, everyone!

Emma, thanks for the compliment, the dress is actually from a little local boutique I shop at called Joelle's. I buy clothes there when not pregnant and have continued to be able to buy clothes there while pregnant. No appearance of baby over christmas. My prediction is I hold out until Jan 1st. I'm now full term and ready to go any day, weight 131 lb, total gain 17 lbs, not at all what I expected, I thought I would gain 25 absolute minimum and potentially 40 overall. I figure it's got to be the way I work out and a high pregnancy metabolism because I eat double what I did pre-pregnancy.

I'm due June 20 with my second child. I've gained 13 lbs. I'm 5'2. I gained 52 with my first and lost it plus a little more. It was hard work though. I'm really trying not to gain as much this time.

Operation: Stuff My Face over the holidays worked, and finally put something on! (Still made me want to cry a little when I saw the number, after working so hard to get the scale to go down. I'm glad I'm sticking with only weighing in at appointments!)

Marie, 7 lbs at 21 weeks is great, so don't worry about those numbers going up. It is all part of the plan ;)

I don't get weighed at appointments so that plan doesn't work for me. I am a bit of a serial weigher, but I take it with a pinch of salt. I prefer to see the fluctuations and know what the middle range of that is than have a one off reading and wonder if that was particularly high/low.

Lesbritt, you are due a couple of weeks after me! Great month for a baby :)

Annabelle Kate made her grand entrance 12/29 at 11:42pm PST. She weighed 7lbs 8oz and was 20" long. It was a long, difficult labor: 26 hours after water breaking, 3 hours of pushing, 3rd degree tearing. I'm so glad I was able to stay active and fit during my pregnancy so I could deliver our little girl drug free and mostly as planned. Have to take it extremely easy the next few weeks to not mess up the reconstruction but am looking forward to returning to logging and exercise later in January.

    Happy New Year Everyone!

I seem to have settled into a 0.2 pound weekly gain pattern. Long may it last - if I keep this up until the end, I will just regain the initial lost weight and be back at my start weight. That's not going to happen though, but if I can keep it up for a couple more weeks.....

Luka John was born Dec. 30th, 2015, measuring 21.5 inches and 7.5 lbs. My labour was long and tiring.... contractions started Sunday and continued until early Wednesday morning when I delivered. Although I had quite a prolonged early labour, once my water broke I dilated rapidly (4-10 cm in 90 minutes) but then had 3 hours of pushing. Very luckily I had minimal superficial tearing with no activity restrictions and 1 week postpartum am beginning with some light workouts. I am 1 lb away from my pre-pregnancy weight, but still have a bit of a pregnancy tummy that is slowly contracting back in.

While I normally don't pay attention to my weight, I stepped on the scale this morning and so far I gained about 27lbs (I am 36 weeks). I am hoping to keep under 35lbs but not too worried about it at this point since any fast gains at this point will likely be water.

I am very sick right now with a bad cold so workouts are off the table at the moment, but I am definitely walking as much as I can. I am so much more fit this pregnancy compared to my first.
