Whether you are just finishing the C25K program and would like to move on to Couch to 10K (Zen Labs version), or if you've never run/jogged before, please join us. We will be covering the Couch to 10k training schedule - from the very first step to being able to run a 10K (6.2 miles). If you just finished my C25K group (DeeDiddyGee's C25K Program), the first few weeks will be easy for you -- it's not about distance, it's about interval training - burning fat/toning muscle with run/jog combinations.
I started using this program a couple of years ago, and was doing great -- FELT GREAT, GOT TONED UP, AND REDUCED STRESS considerably...then, winter came, I got fat, and LAZY, and had to start over...ugghh..
Starting January 4th, please join me. I will post this 12-week training program, one session at a time. We will walk/jog/run 3X per week. Each week has three workouts -- I post Day 1 on Mondays, Day 2 on Wednesdays, and Day 3 on Fridays -- you can choose any 3 days per week you'd like, as long as you have a rest day between each workout.

I finished C25K on December 5.
This group has come along at a good time!
I downloaded the Zen Labs 10K app yesterday. Not sure I can wait till Jan 4 to start!

Glad I got here in time. I find it's easier to stick with a program when you know what you have to do everyday instead of guessing. Good luck and work hard everybody0

I try to walk at least 15,000 steps a day. Some of that includes running 3 times a week.
I've been doing some Body Balance classes (combination of yoga, pilates & tai chi) and some swimming lately too.0 -
I'm in. Actually started yesterday so your timing is spot on.
Have done C25K (ZenLabs) before so had ZLs 10K app ready to go. Just been procrastinating. Both my kids (20 and 17) have started using my treadmill last month so I've been feeling the pull.
Nothing goes smoothly though. Here's a glimpse from my news feed for yesterday.

9:00 AM Restarting my 10K 14 week running program from ZenLabs today. Sunday, Tuesday, Thursday are my running days.
11:00AM Good news is I finished my 10K ZL app WK1 DY1 workout. Bad news is my 10 (15?) year old Horizon T61 treadmill flipped out after the run was over and started beeping and flashing "0 1-04" on the display and won't stop no matter what I do. No help from user manual, service manual, or online searches.

Still trying to figure out what is up with that, but I won't be stymied this early in the program. Had a new (used) treadmill (True 350) in the house and set up before my head hit the pillow last night.
Bad time of the year to be buying fitness equipment. Guessing selection and price will be better in ten weeks or so when all the New Year's resolutions start slipping.
