Leg is doing better today...Dr. Google says it may be a bicep femuris strain. Rest and ice packs seem to help. After 5 Leslie miles it is slightly sore. More ice and rest.

Oh dear - made a deal with the skip on our curling team - if we lost our game I would skip the next one. And we lost - so... I am already doing the math... I will only make 2 trips up and down the ice each end instead of 6 trips.. and the upper body workout (sweeping rocks) will be minimal... I think I may have to convince her she needs to skip again0 -

I did walk two more miles, one yesterday and one today. I have walked 9 miles this month so far with 11 more to go.
For me - I notice when I increase my exercise I have a gain, as I get used to the increase the gain becomes a loss. Like PinkPan said - the scale will catch up to your hard work.0 -

I did log this week as a slight gain. When I look back at my food diary, I can pinpoint exactly where I went wrong. I made too many "convenience" choices instead of planning ahead like I had been doing.
Just gotta get back in the saddle and keep going! I told myself this morning that these things happen. Losing weight is hard!!0 -

So - I lost the coin toss - I skipped both curling games Saturday. Didn't make my 10,000 steps ... but sure tried to. Sunday - 1 more curling game. I best wear more clothes - it was REALLY cold in the curling rink and -32 Celsius outside...... Still cold this morning.0 -

Home today - so hopefully I can get outside and get a walk in. All the birdfeeders are empty so I do have to bundle up and get out there. So far it is 15 degrees warmer than yesterday ..Lol... only -20 Celsius.
I am a bit behind my goal for the month so I best boot myself in the butt and get with the program!

Thank you everyone for being concerned about the cold here. I do come well prepared for the cold. My coat, snow pants and Sorrel's are all cold rated for -40 C (LOL at least that is what the label says!!) I never travel anywhere in the winter time without those clothes with me and my winter survival kit.0

Wow - I don't think I should have done the whole 60 minutes of Tone Every Zone Walk DVD....but I was feeling a little cocky this morning and looking at my schedule for the next two weeks I wanted to make sure I got some miles in today.... I may regret it ... I feel a hot bath coming on.0

Hi Everyone! Had an xray done today, insurance won't do an MRI until I have an xray first. I am not able to not walk, drives me insane. I am using the burn to the beat dvd, I do 2 of the 4 mph and 2 5 mph walks. Love them. No running or no no's. I like that it is more my pace. The 3mph is too slow for me. Depending on the severity of the tear, I may not do surgery. I have been wearing a brace on both knees during my workouts and if I know I have a day of a lot of outside walking and am doing great. From what others tell me, surgery doesn't always fix it and it could come back. So I will wait and see what the results show, I hate surgery!

Be careful bandit! Sometimes physical therapy is better than surgery. My husband has a rotator cuff tear and they wanted to do surgery and he opted for physical therapy and had most of his range of motion restored without pain. He is super happy he avoided surgery.
Lilymay I LOVE Tone Every Zone but it is a killer to do all at once, especially if you have not been using weights for awhile. LOL Notice I have not put it in my rotation yet this month??? Gotta get some of these Christmas pounds off first! :laugh:

Leslie Sansone Tone Every Zone DVD for 60 minutes and then went outside to feed the birds and walk my dog. Made several trips to the woodworking shop to fix a my DIL's picture frame.
