excellent - actually, if we don't get some more signups soon, you may go direct into a team - riding part of the tour is better than having a rider missing all three weeks...

You can have Strava automatically suck your Garmin data from Garmin. I can't remember if it's a push or pull thing but you only have to set it up once and then it happens automatically, which is the best thing ever (likewise with MFP and national bike challenge).0 -
it's a "push" from Garmin - link the GC account with Strava, and it automatically cross-posts the ride into Strava for you. That's how I've got my Garmin 800 set up

that's great - if you both can pass on your Strava Athlete URL to me I can arrange the appropriate invites to the "clubs" we use on there... sooner the better please - time's getting a little tight to get everything arranged before Friday's start...

for those of you wondering what the hell I'm on about as a "strava athlete url" its quite simple...
mine for example is
https://www.strava.com/athletes/165533
easily found - click on your little avatar at the top right hand side of the screen on the browser version of the software, and select "my profile" - the URL that displays in the URL bar is your athlete url. Simply copy/paste that into the reply box in here, and I've got all the information I need to ensure that you get invites to the appropriate strava "teams" that we use to run this challenge...
You may also get a "friend request" from me on MFP if you're not already "on my list" - its easier to keep track of who's doing what, and who's ridden if things keep showing up in my newsfeed You'll PROBABLY end up getting FR's from the members of whichever team you end up getting "drafted" onto as well - as it's a great way to keep the team "banter" going...

Now, before anyone starts complaining that I've got their flags wrong... chances are I've given you a "generic american" dossard because I didn't know your strava details... I generally work on the location that the rides are being done - unless I happen to know from prior challenges that someone is living overseas... If it's wrong, give me a shout and I'll try and get a new one done for you, though it MAY not be before the start of the challenge - i've quite a lot of other stuff to do!

Are we supposed to join the individual teams that are on Strava like last year? I unjoined Lotto, the Vuelta team from last year and requested to join Twinkie for Giro.1
