@Dave: My knee has not felt to great since my half but as long as it needs to take...I will rest it. Remember that there will be other days to run but you only get one knee.
@vhuber: Hope you get your spunk back and a good report from the doctor.
Not many days of school left and I have a room to pack up for renovation and we are so short on subs that I have been doubling up on classes and doing lots of coverage for other teachers. This week I was an ESL teacher, first grade teacher, double classes PE teacher, gifted teacher and tomorrow I am guessing third grade. No wonder I am exhausted.

I got a good 8.2 mile stationary bike ride in this morning. GF "strongly suggested" I not do a treadmill run this morning and let my knee keep trying to heal completely. She might* have a point...but I don't like not running.
Dave
Dave - I like the new GF! She seems very sensible.
VHuber - good luck tomorrow. From what I have read on here it doesn't seem like you sleep a lot. Maybe you just need a couple days of doing nothing!
Clepant - hang in there. It's almost over! A big thank you to all the teachers out there!
I got in a run this morning and then weights at the gym this afternoon. It was a good day. 20/75

Well, I'm not too impressed with my miles yesterday, but I am looking at ways to spend less time in my chair when I'm at work, and I was able to accomplish that anyway. I have no work or practices on the schedule today, so I'm thinking about grabbing a book and a bottle of water, packing a lunch and spending the day out on the local bike path, walking and taking some reading breaks in between. Or......maybe get the bike out?
Added 2.5 miles for a May total of 45.75 miles
@Dave I'm with the others here, keep the GF and the knee, the running can wait.
@clepant I'm exhausted just reading about your day. Thank you, and all of the educators out there, for your willingness to just jump in where you are needed. The kids deserve that and hopefully seeing your example will rub off on them too.1 -

Thanks everyone! She is pretty smart and has a better voice of reason than I do. I think I'll keep her too.
I lifted and rode the bike again this morning, btw.

Thanks for the well wishes. I only need a partial filling (so far). The dentist said I might eventually lose both front teeth depending on how the nerves react over the next few months or so. One of our adult leaders in our Boy Scout Troop works for a very specialized dentist and she insisted I come in for a 3D scan. My - nothing like seeing your whole jaw in 3D! He too said I may loose the one tooth dependent on what the nerve does but he thinks its only the one. He didn't see any cracks in my upper bone or in the roots of the tooth so that's good news. My upper lip is healing well and my bike works just fine.
On a positive note - our Troop is scheduled to go to Sand Dunes NP tonight through Sunday. That always means lots and lots of steps.
Hope everyone has a great weekend!0 -

17.2 miles on the bike today. That brings my MTD to 64.2, which means I hit GOAL today. Super early in the month. But, I'm not sure how many more times I'm going to get to the gym this month due to work meetings, etc. - so I'm glad I hit it early and can just count everything else as bonus miles.

Well I have made it through 7 stages of Giro Challenge. Got a flat today, took my baby to the shop got her fixed and found out my rear mech was bent slightly due to the accident. Why no one caught it sooner I don't know. So bike is perfrcto. My neck and trapezius muscle are making cycling much more difficult. These are injuries I have been plagued with since my accident last June. I am back to chiropractor for 3 days a week until the muscle rebuilds. I was almost healed then Winter was so bad I wound up on the trainer for months. My legs are fine. But that muscle lost some fitness. So here we go again, but the electro stimulus, hot packs, deep tissue message and adjustment is what is going to keep me cycling through this Giro Challenge. I physician however has suggested a full neck fusion, but that would take all flexibility out of my neck hence, no more cycling. Friday the 13th has been full of all sorts of good news.....NOT!!!!!!
