I chose to do the Nemo challenge because I need to switch my routine up; I've been doing lots of distance over the past 3 years. I need to transition to more strength... still looking for something to motivate me in that department!

    @MissionEnforcer (tagging you if needed)

6-9 inches of snow expected today, basketball for kid was cancelled = much deserved time at home! YAY!

I decided to do the Climb to the Count stair challenge because with being sick this week, I was able to keep track of my stairs and pick away at it all week. Glad I decided to do it that way. I'm feeling better today and was able to finish the challenges without too much difficulty. I hope everyone is having a nice weekend. It's mighty cold here ( close to -30 degrees C) so I haven't ventured far from home.

    Hello all,

I'm alive and breathing? End of the year circus started - so going from having zero project for like 1 week it went to having 3 projects at the same time.. yay... Also I took 2 more projects on in private life - learning a new language and trying to start a blog :) so everything keeps me rather busy and occupies my mind right now. I still tried to hang on with this challenge though I have to admit it hasn't been as much fun as in the beginning - But you're an awesome team - and it's more on my side I guess - don't really liked most of the active challenges - too much dancing and hopping around for my taste ^^ (I know it's weird - I do like dancing - but not to videos.. well... )

    So for this weeks challenges:

#1 - done Wednesday and Friday
#2 - decided to do the "Finding Nemo" challenge to complement the challenge No. 1 - done those Friday and Sunday
#3 - okay this is really a challenge now - 9 points.. whew..
    1. doing some exercise 3-4 times a week - even if it's only 30mins
    2. I liked eating the rainbow - so I want to try incorporating that more into my lifestyle - I eat out too often (2x daily) since it's more convenient and cheaper
    3. the water challenge was a good thing as well - somehow I slowly stopped drinking a lot - I think it's due to me getting used to the weather here - but I need to watch that more again - so drinking enough (half your body weight in oz I believe) will be something I want to watch
    4. Stick to learning a new language - as a self-learner it's sometimes hard but I know what I'm doing it for so it's worth sticking to it
    5. take a 1 or 2 mins everyday, stop everything, and just breath - like really focusing on breathing
    6. I want to try doing Yoga - tried twice before but ended up with terrible headaches - but I want to give it another chance - all good things come in threes... :)
    7. Take a minute or two every week and think of what I'm thankful for
    8. I want to track my food accurately - daily - I slack that too often and it only keeps me so much on track that I don't gain (which is great in itself - if you're trying to maintain ;) )
    9. Take some offline time every evening before going to bed - no TV, no phone, no laptop or tablet - and try to relax - like coloring some pictures or reading a real book.

thanks everyone for being on this Team and for letting me be part of this - you're all amazing people!

I noticed some of our points haven't verified yet. Maybe I'm just not being patient enough! I checked the Vancouver pay and they didn't say we had to tag mission enforcer. Any thoughts?

@Mrscanmore - looks like Mission Enforcer is in the spreadsheet right now (he's the ninja dude icon). I suspect he's going through all the teams and the logs now. I'd say if you don't see it change in an hour or so, maybe hit him up? It can take a while for him to get through them all, and he's got two challenges to verify this round.

Okay, I needed to do some work today, but I'm leaving my desk now to get on my glider...I still need to get some dinner, but will put in some more minutes first. Looks like Team 1 did a lot of snow shoveling today...lol.

Glad to see everyone checking in though tonight...@MiamiSeoul, I didn't have any issues entering my minutes just now...let me know if you need me to enter some for you. But everyone, she's right...don't wait until the last minute...it's going to be very close with Team 1, but we can beat them!!

I got 60 minutes in for today and all challenge points verified.

I am seriously going to miss this challenge and all you wonderful hard working champions! It's been a great ride and if there's another AR challenge in the spring I hope to be paired up with you all again!!

Got it for you as I was logging some more time for me.

Man, Team 1 is currently 10 points ahead of us. They have all their challenge points but 10 (though 30 still need verification, so then they will be 40 points ahead). They crushed it this week on minutes as they are kicking our butts there. But we do still have some blanks (about 30 challenge points, and still some with blanks for workout minutes), so hopefully folks are getting their last minute workouts in.

I'm going to try to put in some more time tonight to see if I can get another hour or so in before the spreadsheet closes...we didn't come this far to take second!

(I am sad to see that Team 3 pretty much just gave up and hardly participated this week. I know they were last, but that's a bummer to end the challenge that way. So glad we had a team in the fight and we're fighting until the end!)

Okay, done with dinner, done checking in, back on the glider...sigh...my legs are going to be sore tomorrow.

    @MissionEnforcer

Why did my Challenge points disappear? I finished the challenges and posted exactly as requested...

    From latest post:

    Challenge 1: Let's Mush!
Standing Abs x2 (Mon x1 Thu x1) DONE
Standing Abs with Dumbbells x2 (Mon x1 Thu x1) DONE

    Challenge 2: A Canuck's Choice
    ******TO COMPLETE CHALLENGE #2:*****

1.) SIMPLY CHOOSE ONE OF THE THIRTEEN ABOVE CHALLENGES: I'm choosing Week 4's Kangaroo Hop
2.) DO IT I completed this on Thursday *I did 3 rounds of 10 min*
3.) POST ON YOUR THREAD WHICH ONE YOU DID that's this post
4.) STATE WHY YOU CHOSE THE ONE YOU DID! As a kid, jump-roping gave me great joy. This challenge was anything but happiness inducing!! I'd like to keep practicing my jump-roping to recapture a fraction of that long-ago ebullience. :) ** Pessimism abounds that I'll ever recapture sheer joy by jump-roping! Sheer torture is more like it! lol**
5.) PUT 10 POINTS IN THE APPROPRIATE CHALLENGE BOX DONE

Challenge 3: On Donner, On Dancer! DONE

I'll update exercise minutes later today or tomorrow....

I did all I could, only got in another 45 minutes...but I stopped at 9.11 miles...which was oddly appropriate since I wanted to fall off my glider, and my legs are currently burning.

ETA: Oh, snap @2run2ski!! Your minutes tied us with Team 1! Sweet!! :)

    EETA:

Thanks so much @MissionEnforcer and @hawkins410 for a truly AMAZING race! You are so awesome for putting this together for all of us...

I thought I'd seen that @2run2ski had completed all the challenges and had plenty of minutes, so was surprised to see that blank row! So glad you checked in!

That's too bad about Team 3. I know a couple people on Team 6 who are amazingly hard workers, but have gotten discouraged because they've had some under-performers and their team has ended up in the bottom. However, several of them have still put in their time and minutes, so good for them.

I have really appreciated being in such a dedicated group! I'd like to keep the discussion going if others are interested. I'm sure there will be a few who will drop out, but I appreciate the accountability and camaraderie! B)

Noticed that @vanessa40 mentioned in her post yesterday (on page 32) that she did challenge 1 over two days (and completed it), but her points are missing from the spreadsheet. They would at least tie us with Team 1 since they moved ahead again.

ETA: nevermind...looks like they are there now...which means we're 100% for our challenge points!! Way to go Fab Five!!!

It has been a pleasure. I didn't know what my body is capable of until this challenge. Thanks again @rusgolden for the invite & bravo @hawkins410 & @MissionEnforcer for an incredible journey. I'll definitely check-in with our team of winners!

Until our next race . . . have amazing holidays and let's rock 2017! Be well!

    Great job, everyone!

My minutes weren't as high as usual this past weekend because I was away, but glad to see we at least still tied.

My minutes this past week weren't as high due to illness, but we all put in our best effort. That's what counts!

Looking forward to the awards ceremony!
