Ready to start again, also failed during the hols
Roughly 126 lbs
Would like to get off another 10 maybe more.
Carbs do not agree with me as much as I like them!!2 -
The scale is staying up even though I've been back on track for almost a week. I miss the whoosh from when I first started keto. :tongue (Normally when I get back on the wagon I lose at least 1-2 lbs of water weight right away.) Hopefully the scale and my bloated belly will get with the program soon so most of my jeans will fit again.1

Back on track today, and better since I got home from holiday travels on 12/30. I'm not fully keto, I do lchf and aim to stay at 20% carbs. I'm down 2 lb of water weight in 3 days, 179 on the scale this morning despite drinking last night.4
-
Count me in too. I've been struggling since the summer! My lowest weight was 165 and I hit 177 the other day which did me in. New Year's Eve I decided to LCHF again, get back on the wagon, and 3 of those pounds have abandoned ship now. \o/
Start weight: 177 Dec 30
Current weight: 174
Goal for Jan 31: 165
Might be over shooting it hoping for ten pounds this month, but time will tell and I can adjust that goal in Feb if it is not reasonable.4 -
Hope it's ok to join on day 2. I fell off the low carb wagon about 6 months ago. My starting weight is 333.8 and my goal by end of January is 315 as I expect to lose water weight quickly.
Here's to a great start for all4 -
SW 163
GW by Feb 1 153
LC diet goals: 75% fats, 20% protein, 5% carbs
I have tried various breakdowns, but this LCHF baseline seems to work best for me.
Zero alcohol
Shouldn't be hard as drinking has made me feel like crap lately.
Continue on with my workouts
This part is easy for me. It's the poor eating that negates all of the hard work.
This is my time to do this. It's for me.2 -
I heard this to break my fast. Twas delicious
BUFFALO OMELETTE (LOW CARB)
A delicious buffalo style LCHF omelette that meets the criteria of the egg fast diet. Keto, Low Carb and Atkins friendly.
Serves: 2 servings
INGREDIENTS
For the filling:
2 oz cream cheese, softened
1 Tbsp blue cheese
1.5 tsp hot sauce brand I used
For the omelette:
3 eggs
1 tbsp water
2 Tbsp butter
INSTRUCTIONS
In a small bowl, heat the cream cheese, blue cheese, and hot sauce in the microwave for about 15 seconds. Stir until full combined and smooth. In another small bowl, beat the three eggs and the water together until smooth.
Heat the 2 Tbsp of butter in a nonstick pan on low to medium heat. Pour the egg mixture into the pan. Drop the softened filling mixture by spoonfuls onto one half of the eggs. When the eggs have firmed enough, fold the empty half of the egg mixture over the half with the filling on it. Cover with a lid to keep the heat inside and cook on low heat for another minute or until the eggs have cooked through. Remove carefully from the pan and serve warm.6 -

Should hopefully take 3 months.7 -
Started today (again)...
Current weight 145
Goal weight (for end of Jan) 1352 -
This is awesome! I got lazy with workouts and slid into making poor food choices in November and December. I finally stepped on the scale this morning to assess the damage and I'm only up 2.8 pounds - though it could be more because I think i had lost one or two more pounds after my last weigh-in based on how my clothes were fitting. Anyway, it's not as bad as I thought. I got back on the low carb wagon this morning and just after my morning coffee and breakfast of poached eggs with spinach sauteed in coconut oil, I feel great.
Current weight: 138.8
Goal weight: 125
January is a great time for me to focus on fat loss (my scale said my body fat is at 31.5%!!!!), since I will start training for a marathon starting in February.4 -
I'm in! This month has been rough going in and out of ketosis though my yearly labs were terrific! FBS was in the normal range, HDL went up 20 points, triglycerides were below 80 and total cholesterol was just over 200.

I forgot to weigh myself this morning, so will add weight/goals tomorrow. I am trying to avoid grains (I love them, they don't love me!) and keep carbs under 100g. Hope it's ok that I'm not keto!3

Hello everyone!
I've been off my game for the past 5 months. After I went on vacation, it just went all downhill from there lol... I'm going to do better!!!!!
Cw- 239
January goal - 230
Slow and steady.... add me, I need friends on here3 -
Late to the party, but definitely in. Going low-carb this time (not keto - too many issues with eating keto) and will keep the carbs to less than 75 per day. Will update later with the starting weight, but the goal weight is to lose 10 lbs this month!2
-
I'm in. I need to finish this by losing the final 30 in 2017. Back to basics!1
-
Awesome!
I love short term goals. 4 weeks 10 pounds? Might be possible, since I'm coming back from an extreme carb, drinking, binging overload. Normally, I when I'm doing Keto I can I lose 1 pound a week. I will probably see huge water loss this first week, especially with no alcohol.
I'm in for 10 for January. After that, I will strive for my 4 pounds a month. Until my goal of 139.
CW: 169
GW 159 Feb 1st.
Thanks for this thread to keep me accountable in January!

Count me in. I need all the help and accountability I can get. Of course I want the scale numbers to go down but, my main focus is getting my blood pressure and A1C numbers down.4

Good morning everyone! I am right here with you all. I have been on a serious back slide for the past few months. I started measuring and logging accurately yesterday and today I got on the scale to see that I've gained 22 lbs. back since September. I'm looking forward to checking in with you all regularly to keep each other motivated.
Height: 5'2"
Starting weight: 209.8 lbs.
Goal weight by 1/31: 199.8 lbs.
Ultimate goal weight: 150 lbs.
This week I resolve to record everything I eat and drink as accurately as possible, as well as to take more steps each day than I did the day before. Next week I will get to the gym at least 3 times. More to follow, good luck friends!!

Hi everyone, I am so in. Current weight 226. Goal weight for 2017 160.5

I'm in. On a journey to qualify for Boston at Chicago Marathon in October using fat for fuel. Had 4 weeks of solid ketosis from Thanksgiving to Christmas, then I punted for a week with two days of major binge in there. Back on the wagon as of December 31st and seeing my first detectable ketones this morning. Woot!
Current: 184 pounds
Target end of January: 176 pounds (assumes 4 pounds of water weight will slide off this week)
Racing weight for 2017 season: 170 (goal to be here and stable by end of March for a half marathon PR)
Giddy-up!

Hey, I'm glad to encounter another distance runner here! Have you done a marathon before while on low carb? I'm curious about your experience and any tips you might have.3 -
Getting back on the keto bandwagon after more than a year of cheat days, failed restarts, and carb creep. Back in 2012/2013, I had amazing success with this approach and lost nearly 40lbs. I felt great, I was looking great, and my health was as good as it ever was. I ended up, however, getting overconfident and slowly let myself lapse and since 2014, I've been in and out of ketosis and making up a lot of excuses for myself. I'm done with that.14
