    4 miles today.
Contemplating a 10KM swim on Super Bowl weekend.

That would be a serious accomplishment! Have you done that far before?

2350 y in 55 minutes, pace is creeping back. They are not doing morning swim due to the ice on the pool deck but fortunately it has been clearing for noon and evening.

Heh...that is so wrong. A bit of skating before you hit the pool.

Work kept me away all week. :( Missed 2 Adult Swim Club sessions and regular weekly swims.

Noon Hour Splash. 1200m - Mixed strokes.
Thank goodness it's an inside pool as No Skating is allowed on the pool deck.

    Another disaster swim!

    2300m

    4x 50 free

    100 br

    200 back

    400 free

    200 kick 200 pull 200 free 200IM

    200 back

    400 free

I'm pretty much at the point of seriously considering giving up swimming again. Just don't feel like I'm going to be able to make up the ground I've lost and feeling pretty gutted and disillusioned

3000 yards @ 65 minutes. Who knew the pool would be more crowded on MLK? Bah, poor planning on my part.

@emmab0902 As I said in the News Feed A small break away from Competitive Swimming might reset your mind and allow you a fresh start. You have the skill and strength Miss Emma. We tend to be overly critical of our own skills/accomplishments so don't give up on something that has been a part of your life for a long time.

Tri-Athlon 750m Time Trial today at noon. Pleasantly Surprised as I managed it in 18:20. My PB for the distance is 18:02. To be this close when not in a training cycle feels good.

Did another 250m of back to get the 1000m in.

Oh Emma so sorry to hear you are feeling this way and I realize that this frustration has been with you for a while. As much as I hate to not read up on your swim workouts and awesome achievements, I tend to agree maybe it is just time for a break (hopefully a short one). I know that like me, swimming is just a part of who you are so I am confident you will get back in there when you are in a better place. In the meantime, I know you will stay active doing other stuff just cuz you are an awesome athlete, not just swimmer.

Ok so here it is, the lovely workout our coach promised:
    3900 m 80 minutes
    300 Warm up
    5x100 IM at 2min
    8x50 at 1 min
    8x50 at 55 sec
    8x 50 at 50
    5x100 kick at 2:15
    2x200 on 4 min
    8x100 backstroke at 2min
    200 cool down
I didn't do all 4200 because I missed some of the warm up (was supposed to be 600)
We were supposed to stay under 40 seconds for the 50s, which I managed until the 3rd set.

    3000 yards @ 60 minutes.

@fishgutzy - I see those two 3000's in there and go wow. May I ask how long you are in the pool?

    1600m Adult Swim Club
Warm up 4 x 50m, Fr, Bk, Kick, Br 200m
    60 Strokes Time/Distance. I hit my normal average 1:13 & 59m
    Fr Sprint Ladders; Fast Start 10m 25, 50, 75, 50 - x 2 400m
    Fr Sprint Ladders; Fast Finish 10m 25, 50, 75, 50 - x 2 400m
    Back Stroke 4 x 50m 200m
    Cool Down 4 x 50m 200m
Not one of the Hardest Workouts but after missing a week it took a bit to get in the groove.
My legs felt really heavy for the first 400m, good in the middle and just disappeared in the backstroke.
