Hi fine folks, I am a complete newbie looking to connect with anyone interested in some healthy competition/motivation. I am female, late thirties and have been rather sedentary. Looking forward to the camaraderie!

I've had the newest Charge HR since Christmas. The last few days I've developed an awful shoulder pain - feels achy like arthritis. Just this morning it dawned on me that I have it set so that you bring the device up and turn your wrist to activate the display, and I think that could be the problem? I'm embarrassed to admit checking my HR, steps, and then with the smart notifications constantly I'm rotating my shoulder inward CONSTANTLY throughout the day. Wondering if it's kind of an 'overuse' issue. I stopped checking it earlier today and shoulder felt fine but now it's achy again. I'm wondering if I'm on the right track with the cause - OR - could it be the HR sensor on my wrist causing an issue? I had another activity device for the last 2 years, a Garmin Vivofit, with zero issues. I'm 50 but in pretty good shape so a sudden attack of arthritis is unlikely. Anyone else experience this? I'm probably going to take it off for the rest of the day and see what happens.0

Sounds like a good analysis.
Think how long it slowly took to develop an issue - stopping checking it one day hardly matches that time.0 -
I've changed the settings to eliminate the smart notifications and the auto-activation. If I want to check it I have to push the button and I always have my phone with me for notifications. I took it off for a couple hours last night and surprisingly, no shoulder pain for the rest of the night or so far this morning. I'll just keep an eye on it.1
