Hey team!! If, for any reason you have been over calories these last two days. You can still make the challenge points happen!!! We have 5 days left this week!!! We want 100% on those challenges!!!
PS super job on the minutes.3 -
Woohoo, @120maggie, great day on the slopes!
Today is my day off, so I'm racking and stacking those minutes! Water aerobics and then a 5k run to check that off and then the hubs and I will get in a good walk this afternoon.
Make it a great Wednesday Team 1! We'll be in Reunion before we know it... AND ahead of that pesky team 4!6 -
@120maggie I wish I could ski here I love to ski we always have to travel to a different country Germany or France or Austria. We have here little hills in the south of belgium called "ardennen" but there you only can cross-country skiing don't like that more the real stuff but also have a BF with bad knees and ankles so going alone is also note real nice.
We are doing a fantastic job again team we are just 40 points behind team 4 but we are just like "diesel cars" we need time to get on speed it is most of the time that we win at the last day of the week we jump out of the corner and hit them full in the face
Agressive??? no not at all Competitive???? Helll Yahhhh that's why I like this challenge.
Enjoy your hump day and for the smile a giggle:
A mother and baby camel are talking one day when the baby camel asks, "Mom why have I got these huge three-toed feet?"
The mother replies, "Well son, when we trek across the desert your toes will help you to stay on top of the soft sand."
"Okay," said the son. A few minutes later the son asks, "Mom, why have I got these great long eyelashes?"
"They are there to keep the sand out of your eyes on the trips through the desert," "Thanks Mom," replies the son.
After a short while, the son returns and asks, "Mom, why have I got these great big humps on my back?"
The mother, now a little impatient with the boy replies, "They are there to help us store fat for our long treks across the desert, so we can go without water for long periods."
"That's great mom, so we have huge feet to stop us sinking, and long eyelashes to keep the sand from our eyes and these humps to store water, but Mom ..." "Yes son?"
"What good does all that do us here in the San Diego Zoo?"

@wolvinnetje thanks for the hump day cheer. And besides being hump day, it is a great day to :
and the being at the Isle of Reunion would definitely make me HAPPY!!4 -
ILE DE RÉUNION AWAITS!

Ok I meant to log my minutes last night but I crashed out early after dinner. I finished all the videos and was under calorie yesterday. Will check back in later.4

Excellent. Great work!!

Videos done, spreadsheet updated. Off to run errands now. Hoping to get in a couple hours of golf practice this afternoon too!4
-
Sorry for the poor contribution today but am super ill, only just managed to leave the house to walk the dog, will get a bit more done tomorrow hopefully xx1

Hey team! Happy Hump Day! We are about 60% there...I bet we will make it by Friday and be able to hang out at the beach and warm up a bit!
My co-worker just got back from Argentina and hiked Patagonia! Her pictures are soooo beautiful. It makes me want to go there! But the hikes there are super long, not like our little one this week. We've been going out on 10 minute breaks at work and doing ~.50 miles. They add up! Also, please message me or @MissionEnforcer if you need a modification because of the weather! Lots of requests are coming in from other teams and he is saying "yes" to everyone! The videos are quick and painless! No girls in pink moving to "Ode to Joy" this time.
@junodog1: I ran across this and it made me think of you on your trip to Cozumel! Was it fabulous? I bet your horses were happy to see you when you got home!

I'm back home from my trip. Got in late last night after an exhausting two days of meetings and presentations. I couldn't pick up Stella until this afternoon because of work, so I was really missing her. But I managed to stop in at the Y and hit the treadmill for 30 minutes before picking her up. I got a shower and she got a bath and we've been curled up in a tired lump since.
Sorry my minutes have been so low so far this week but I hope to catch up starting tomorrow. Today will make 2 days under calorie goal so I'm working on that one and will definitely get the other challenges in. But first, more sleep.
Great job so far this week, team!5 -
@ejdp254 Take care of yourself!
@katharmonic I can't imagine how much you missed Stella!
Great start to the week everyone!4 -
Hi everyone - I love the jokes and pics that folks have posted. @katharmonic - welcome back - I hope the trip was a good one.
I wanted to let the group know that I took a hit for the team. It was absolute brutal torture. But, I kept my mouth closed so that I could keep our team safe from harm (moving into 2nd place). While teaching today, the lab area had homemade chocolate chip cookies and I DIDN'T TOUCH THEM! You have NO IDEA the pain that went through my body during that 3 hours of knowing they were 30 feet from me. Oh woah is me! (sad music is playing in the background with babies crying). Know that ch. chip cookies are my kryptonite.
BUT - I kept thinking about staying under calories for YOU all. Needless to say - THANK YOU for being competitive because competitive people help me do better. This will be day 3 of staying under calories.

@smile_laughter , I've had to duct tape my mouth before when I've been making brownies for my students or for the track guys. I feel you!5

I'll give you "quick", but painless? That was such torture
2 -
@ka97 and @smile_laughter you guys rock. Thanks for hanging tough!3
-
I was only able to get 55 mins in. We had a meeting at the office and my bosses drained us all out. Sorry for the little effort today.

I'm getting my minutes in, and the videos are done. And I've been under calories all week. The snow is not cooperating and the below freezing temps does not make it easy for me to do the hike. I'm not giving up. Even if I have to walk up and down my street at 10min intervals I will get it done!!!
Sorry so quiet, still a lot going on.2 -
We are still short staffed at work, I am exhausted every night after work! But tonight I went and walked outside for 41 minutes and got in 1.53 miles according to my watch. I took it easy on the icey patches walking. I was also under calorie again. That makes 3 days
@ka97 glad to have you back as I am sure Stella is @ejdp254 take care of yourself @smile_laughter I am that way with chocolate cake
At everyone else thanks for going on and making us great3 -

LOL Love this! The girls were happy to see us. We stopped the car by the field when we came home and called them over. They needed to know the reign of terror imposed by my daughter housesitting was over.
Wouldn't it be fine to ride on the beach?

We are an awesome team and you are all helping me set my goals high! I am on track for my hike. I live on a straight road that to my house is almost exactly one mile. Past my house to the end of the road it is a quarter mile and every night we walk down and back the quarter mile with the dog – so a half mile every night. However that will not be my 3.1 mile hike. I will get in two trips up and back the long end this week so I am doing more than my usual minimal exercise.
The videos – ugh. I’ll start on them in the morning hopefully. Not a fan. I am just so uncoordinated that anything that involves flapping my arms and moving the rest of my body at the same time is dangerous to others. No Jazzercise classes for me – I would take someone’s eye out.
And the calories challenge is easy peasy and just what I need after my five days of indulgence.
My little cruise was an indulgence. We left Tampa, Florida on Thursday, spent a day at sea on Friday, were in Cozumel, Mexico Saturday, sea day two on Sunday, and then Monday morning they kicked us off the boat. I didn’t indulge too badly on the food, but I did consume too many calories in drink. And except for our shore excursion day I barely exercised anything except my wallet in the casino. THAT got a work out. Fortunately we are walkers and the pier we docked at is a ways from town. Our actual hike to the church in San Miguel was 5 km one way. Hey – that’s = 3.1 miles! I could have used that this week.
Here are a couple pictures that you might enjoy.
Getting off the boat
Walking to town
First stop = Church
Then we found a swinging bar
And back relaxing at sea

Looks beautiful @junodog1, and the swinging bar looks great! Glad you had a nice midwinter respite.2

So have a great Thursday everybody

@junodog1 -you sailed from my town! I live close enough to the port I hear the ships horns when they leave!
Glad you had fun and those bar swings look dangerous to me.
I've been under 3 days so far but tonight is the dinner at the great restaurant. Since we are guests I'm not sure if it's a set menu or if we get to choose our own, doesn't matter-everything this place does is yummy. I was supposed to lift again this morning before golf but I'm just so darn sore that I'm giving myself a break. I may go do a quick YouTube golf stretching routine before I go but most likely I will play games on my iPad, check out facebook and get mad at people's posts!3 -
Good Morning all!
Started the dance videos this morning, darn I am still uncoordinated, lol. Will finish off challenge 2 tonight. A bit behind on staying under for calories, but I promise I will be good for the rest of the week!!
@wolvinnetje - you are just the sweetest! Thanks for your daily positive posts!2 -
We have 11 missing dancers! Just pretend we are all on the warm beach at sunset being silly together! @ka97, you "barely" complained! Are you feeling OK?
Let's make a deal: 100% on Challenge #1, no dancing next week!
@smile_laughter: Passing on Chocolate Chip Cookies was the ultimate sacrifice! If they were fresh baked, I would have been a goner.
@junodog1: Love the pictures! Looks like fun!
@wolvinnetje: I so look forward to waking up to your posts every morning!
@ejdp254: Hope you feel better soon!
@mamaelf2008: I love your determination to get that 3.1 mile hike in!
@katharmonic: I could hear Stella yesterday, "Mommy's home!!!!"
@GSXRGIRL61: Carry on!
@MimiOfTheLusciousLawn: Dang girl, your weightloss is an inspiration!
@mswanger09: You are not sick anymore! Get your rear in gear and find us a bartender! We will be there soon!!
@Vowder: We need our "rooster"! Unless you are too busy exercising!
@mts7471: Fifty-Five minutes is nothing to apologize for!
@Ingrid2017: How is Fuffy?! Does she like to dance?
@aenglehardt347 & @AlethaMary & @TamiJo1004 & @carbucfan & @LeoLivingByDesign: Keep up the good work!
@120maggie: I'm still jealous over your ski trip! But you certainly deserved it!
OMG, the sun is up and I am not! Oops!
WE ARE TEAM #1 FOR A REASON!3 -
I'm here. I'm here. I've had a couple of travel days again so it has been tough. I keep checking in but not chatting much.
I went to the gym this morning but only got a hot tub in. LOL. I'll go back this afternoon for a workout. I'm planning on doing the dance video's Friday morning.
I've been on target in calories but is hasn't been easy. Don't know why it isn't kicking in better.
I've got to persevere.
This has been a hard week for some reason. Perhaps not enough sleep.
Love those cruise boats. It feels like it has been a while since I have gone. Would really like to go again!
Good luck everyone... just a few days left.

Loving the support here with this group , you are all awesome!! I'll be back on track tomorrow and get the videos done , I will get all the xtra points available, promise ❤️❤️ you guys rock!!4
-
Team 4 is bringing it this week! Dang, we are behind right now. Didn't check their challenge totals though so maybe that's it and once everybody has the challenges done we can zoom past them.3
