April Monthly Challenge

Should have done the workout this morning. Rest day today because it's late and my children are sleep and I just finished cleaning the house and I want to take a bath and go to bed. I realized today what I've been CONSTANTLY told. This is NOT a sprint. Therefore, me doing certain things--such as double workouts in a day, extra reps in lifting---is not going to get me smaller next week or the week after that. Bottom line I know longer want to be rigorous. Some days I'll work out and some I won't. No big deal anymore. GN!3

Thanks Trinity. I am going to feel them tomorrow, especially those darn planks AND burpees. But that's the price you pay to take days off and play at Disneyland. Great job on your weight loss last week.

60 shoulder press; 60 bicep curls; 60 tricep extensions; 60 rows; 120 mountain climbers; 135 tricep dips; and 5 sets of planks (couldn't hold all for 90 secs so I went as far as possible but did a set between each of the other exercises)

@trinitymwilson @dbackgrammy @hannahhooter we can definitely make a plan to extend beyond June. My target for hitting my goal weight isn't until the fall & I'll be in marathon training soon, so I'm all about continuing this great support3

Having done quite a few half marathons and one full; plus Sherpa duty during Ironman training sessions for my kids, please know I'm here to support you as you do your marathon training. Have you done one before or is this your first? Maybe incorporate a mini challenge that will help all of us support you along the way. Good luck on your training.0 -

Oh boy I was not in the mood for any of this today but I got through it2 -
I've been a failure this past couple weeks and haven't kept up with the monthly challenge. I've been running a lot but just haven't made it to the gym or made time to do anything else. I'm going to try to get back into it this week, but I just wanted to say I haven't given up completely!1

Hannah, me too sorry guys. I don't know what's wrong with me. Well I know what's wrong. It's called life, children, bills etc etc etc We all have these things so it's no excuse. I'll do better this week. Oh and today is a rest day. I know I know. I think June 1st I will start to lift heavy and go to the gym. That's probably the problem. I'm lifting 8,10 lb dumbells and wondering why I'm not leaning out(that's all I have access to at my house). It's not heavy enough probably. I don't know. I'm still doing research on that. I read last night I only should be able to do 3-6 reps of an exercise. Well that sounds heavy AND SCARY! Anyway, back at it tomorrow gang. I hope y'all enjoy yalls Sunday!!!0

@hannahhooter I can relate I've had days like this and years like this where I just felt stuck or other things become a priority. this group and all you women being so honest on this forum have motivated me so much. you have the right spirit! don't give up!0

I have something special to share with you guys. after 10 years of trying to get back to being fit, after 10 years of starting and stopping and starting again, after losing motivation and finding it again, depression, then happiness after having my beautiful miracle Violet, and being the heaviest I've ever been, I finally fit into my LBD but most importantly of all I am starting to feel good in my body p.s I'm still not close to my goal but this is a great day!
