    I've done same drop of blood on 3 meters, got 3 different results, pull strips, replace, same drop of blood on all 3 again, not one matched previous results... the one i use now is an accu-check aviva, and it consistently comes up with smaller variability than the other two, but rarely even on same drop of blood same number twice... often +/-5-10 (old two were up to +/-30, which is functionally worthless imo.)

    The sad truth is that ALL those meters in the video are well within their required +/- 15% specification for accuracy.

    I would really like to see more improvements in this area so we can have glucose meters/test-strips that provide results that are within 5% of a lab ordered blood test.

    If you felt crummy, it may have been due to a large post-insulin BG drop; but you'll get that dialed in working with your new endo!

    I was way shakey...and im just not used to it being that low. With my pancreas issues I'm not supposed to have my numbers below 95 or 100 per my gastroenterologist.


    Seems like your pancreas would be under more stress the higher your BG....?? If your GI is trying to guard against hypos, you might want to verify that your endo is on board with such a high bottom end of your glucose range. (Lots of things to balance, and different docs may have different priorities.)

    I have the same pancreas issues. My Endo has said my FBS, as long as it's below 9.9, I'm okay. Anything lower than 5, and I'm shakey and headachey.
    But, by all means, check with the doctor.
