You're really experiencing some low numbers. I hope you get things sorted out soon.

7.4(133) Any time I'm below 10 in the morning is a good day for me. My Endo says I'm doing fine, and I shouldn't expect 5's and 6's because of my pancreas.
Anything below 5(90) and I'm quite shakey. Even a few times this week, when I was closer to 100 I was shakey and headachey.
    Oh the joys of diabetes.
    Have a good day everyone.

My GI doesn't want me below 100. I'm hoping to get somewhat stable soon.

Stable is good, for sure. But since 100+ BG already elevates your risk for CVD, Alzheimer’s, and other life-wreckers, I'd want to hear really good reasons before I'd accept this advice. Does your endo agree?

He acknowledge but didn't really say. Maybe waiting for follow up?

Good day all. Today was 117. I've been trying to lower carbs & my numbers seem to be going up over previous weeks...wait & see what happens in a few weeks.

Could be - hope you get some good feedback and guidance when you go back! <3

93, I'm pleased because my doctor took me off glimeperide and my numbers seem to be staying down.

LOL...we'll see how long I last this time. This time around, I got diagnosed with an eating disorder called Binge Eating Disorder along with my worsening diabetes & required huge doses of Novolog insulin during meals (up to 120 units daily which really hit my $wallet$ too) & my blood sugars were still too high (250 - 400 range) when I would binge. I started working with a Binge Eating Disorder specialist for ideas to try (for reducing the binge episodes) that I hadn't thought of trying which seem to be working, at least so far--My last binge day was on May 7, 2017 which consisted of a 3-day binge (May 5-7) that drove my morning fasting blood sugars up over 350 even with my Novolog insulin injections. So far, what's worked best for me is to have my meals every 3 hours (from about 9am to 9pm) and to keep those meals at about the same "size" (calories, carbs, etc) to make the insulin dosing easier & so that I'm basically "not really hungry" by the time my next meal time comes around so I eat less, even with the smaller meals, but feel satisfied. For the time being, I'm trying to minimize processed carbs (bread, sugar, anything made with flour, etc) as these can "trigger" a binge for me--maybe I can re-try them later, but for now, I don't want to take the risk. My Novolog insulin dosages (with meals) have dropped dramatically since my last binge & for the first time in about 2 years, I've been finally able to slowly drop my Levemir insulin (long-acting) dosage from 60 units to 45 units (taken at bedtime) since my morning fasting blood sugars are now sometimes under 90 for 3 days in a row which results in a lowering of my Levemir insulin dosage by 3 units.

My goal for the month of June2017 is to have an entire month without any binge episodes & see where my weight (now 269.4 lbs) ends up (hopefully lower) by the end of June2017 as well as seeing if I can continue to lower my average daily Novolog insulin dosage (presently around 13-23 units/day). Like I said, we'll see how long I last this time. :)

Good luck - sounds like you're doing it!

The only thing that worked for me was to just banish all of those yummy treacherous, addictive junk carbs from the kingdom altogether...

Took a good long while, but it sure was a relief when I finally popped out the other side.

Thanks! I have a feeling I'll end up eating LCHF someday. I've tried low-carb many years ago but just could not stick with it. However, at that time, I didn't have diabetes & just wanted to lose weight but didn't have the resources available, like MFP & their various low-carb type groups, to learn about some of the things that can help one stick with the LCHF way of eating--for example, reading about how increasing salt intake can help when starting out with LCHF whereas whenever I did low-carb my salt intake was on the low side just due to the nature of the things I was avoiding (i.e. pizza).
