The thing is, home meters are only required to be accurate within 15%, which means if it's 100 it could read anywhere from 85 to 115. I've tested mine multiple times on the same drop of blood, and while it's usually within 10% it does vary. I had a postprandial of 128 the other day which read 113 on a second check - which was unusual so I tested with my other meter which said 121, splitting the difference! So my facial expression is staying the same unless it's elevated multiple readings over time.2 -

Thanks! My Dr was impressed too along with my 35 pound weight loss since my last visit with him at the end of March & I haven't had an eating binge (my biggest issue in the recent past) since May 7th. I should know on Friday how my A1C test turned out.2 -

104 - was 93 yesterday - seems to be hovering around the 100 mark all this week. Weirdly enough the 93 was after my big pig out on carbs birthday, while yesterday I ate frugally to make up for it.0

Good Morning. After a 340 going to bed, I awoke to a 108.1

Yesterday was 110 & today was 1071

I was out of town for the weekend, so, I'm catching up here...
June 17th (Saturday): 84
June 18th (Sunday): 90
June 19th (Monday): 91
On another positive note, I got some great results back from my diabetes follow-op visit with my PCP on June 13th.
The following are the items that were always "red flags" during my Dr visits in 2017 but are now improved...
Weight: 262 (was 317 in Jan2017)....still one of those "red flags" but it's heading in the right direction.
A1C: 5.4 % (was 7.0 % in Jan2017).
Fasting Glucose: 96 (was 162 in Jan2017).
Triglycerides: 145 (was 331 in Jan2017).
VLDL: 29 (was 66 in Jan2017).
Things that have helped me make these improvements during the last 6 months:
Changing my meal frequency to every 3 hours, so, that's basically my meals at 9am, noon, 3pm & 6pm.
Taking Metformin, 850mg, twice/day with meals (meal #2 & #3).
Taking Invokana, 300mg, once/day at bedtime.
Taking Levemir, 27 units/day at bedtime (was 60 units/day in Jan2017).
Taking Novolog, 10 units/day with meals (was 120 units/day in Jan2017).
Taking Topamax, 75mg, once/day at bedtime (for reducing urges to binge eat--a BIG problem for me in the past).
Note: I'm following a 2000 calorie diet with 40% of calories from fat, 30% of calories from protein & 30% of calories from carbs, but being careful with the high-glycemic foods since they can trigger binge episodes in me.3 -
