Time for a June Accountability and Weigh-In thread. In May @bringbackthejoy reached her ultimate goal weight. Amazing result and very motivating for the rest of us!

I’ve ended May slightly better than I had hoped (revised goal), at 173lbs. I have been struggling a bit setting my June goals appropriately, because I have to factor in a 10 day holiday. I don’t want to be too conservative, but equally I don’t want to risk feeling disheartened by the end. I lost 6.4lbs in May, so perhaps a 5lb goal is reasonable, but I might revise it after my holiday.

HW: 183lbs
SW June: 173.5lbs
Ultimate goal: Around 160lbs - which I would like to reach by the end of August...
June goal: 168lbs
Body fat goal for June: 27.5%

26th April: 179.4lbs - Body fat: 29.6%
3rd May: 178lbs - Body fat: 29.3%
10th May: 176.6lbs - Body fat: 28.9%
17th May: 175.4lbs - Body fat: 28.6%
24th May: 175.2lbs - Body fat: 28.5%
31st May: 173lbs – Body fat: 28.2%
7th June:
14th June: Holiday - unable to weigh in

I'll join in too, need to have some motivation and accountability!!

I didn't succeed in May, but I must do better in June, my holiday is 23rd of July and I'd love to be about 132lb by then. So for June, I'm going to aim for a 4lb loss.

I sometimes wish I could use my post run weight as my weigh in weight, even though I know it's not representative given it reflects a sudden drop in water weight. I was 172.4 when I woke up, and 171.8 after my run, so about an hour later.

@rianneonamission I never realised that happened. I always log my first thing in the morning weight but I assumed that would be my lowest of the day. I weigh before bed each night too but now I might check after exercise aswell.

Oh yes, without fail @Coleteo! The most I have ever lost is 1lb, but that was on a particularly warm day. Normally it's at least half a lb.

Hi, I'm Angela and am very new to this kind of posting, but I realize I can't do this without being accountable. I recently (1 year ago) lost 30 lbs on the Simply for Life program. It's an amazing program and it teaches you a lot about nutrition. However, old habits die very hard and I've started putting some of the weight back on. When I finished the program I was 143 and holding. My most recent weigh in put me at 151. Time to get serious!

First time posting on one of these threads - have only just started out (just under a month ago) on a weight loss journey with the aim of losing 10kgs which I have put on since starting an office job 2.5 years ago. For me my reasons for wanting to lose the weight are unusual - it relates to my part-time work riding racehorses and my own thoroughbred horses, for whom at my tall height, I need to be very lean to suit them.

    Height: 178cm
    SW May 7th: 70.1kg
    Goal Weight: 60 kg
June goal: 64.5kg (want to reach my ultimate goal by end of September, however I'm away on a three-day trip to Dublin for my birthday this month so I anticipate I'll relax the healthy eating over that trip!)

At the end of the day, you can log whatever weight you want. If you feel that your post run weight is more representative of your body then do it. I have the opposite problem where my body retains more water after training so I have to work my weigh ins around when I train as I have to have a day in between for my body to get back to normal, i.e. if I train Monday, I don't weigh in until Wednesday morning so that it doesn't interfere with my readings.

I'm also game to play again this month. I'll do my stats/post when I weigh in Wednesday next week.

Hi! This is my first time posting in a thread such as this one so I hope I can show some results by the end of June! May was not a good month as I was away for a 2-week holiday with my boyfriend and I put on a bit of weight which I am shredding off now. So my starting weight this month (as of 1st June) is slightly higher than I would've liked:

    Height 1.74/5'7
    HW 67kg/147.7
    SW June 63.05kg/139
    GW June 60.50kg/133.4
    Ideal weight 58-59.50kg

I want to be realistic with my goal so that I won't get discouraged if weight loss is slow: I've been at this weight before and for me, these last stubborn kgs are -extremely- hard to lose and I usually lose my motivation before the weight!

    Current weight: 146.8lbs

I figured I'd just weigh in, log my weight and get it over with so we can see June's progress. Waiting till June 7th for my first weigh in of the month seemed too long. Plus I had an entire container of beef chow mein last night and chip shop chips so it not going to be a super accurate weigh in.

    Hey!
I'd like to get a little accountability! I have been coasting for two months now after a big performance in March. (Icecream! Champagne! Pizza!) This morning I hit my "do something or else" number: 130. So I am back on the board, working to get back to where I feel good-- about 10 pounds down, or 120. I don't expect to get there in June, but let's see what I can do!

I'm lifting weights once a week and running a few times a week, with a few other workouts sprinkled in here and there. I know I'm gaining a bit of muscle, so weight loss might be extra tough. My clothes aren't comfortable (don't want to buy new ones) and I really just want to slim down a bit.

Just check you aren't eating a little more than normal @LisaTcan. Without fail I get both terribly snacky and a bit lethargic for a few days, which is never good for the number on the scales.

Do you guys have Fitbit Aria? or Omron Body Fat analyzer? The differences in body fat % between the 2 is 10%. I don't know which one is accurate.

Hard to tell. I have non branded scales with a BF% measuring feature and it sends a current up one leg which comes down the other, so it doesn't necessarily reflect your full body.

From what I understand the only way to get an accurate reading is to let a trained professional pinch various parts of you with calipers.

Success/struggles of the week: Last month, I lost more than I'd earned, so this month is more likely to be one where I lose less than I earn. Also, this last week has been a high exercise week (~350 calories per day), which makes it more likely that my NEAT has dropped some to compensate. Even knowing that, I still find it frustrating!

Yeah, that's what people keep telling me too. It's so expensive though! My omron keeps telling me my body fat % is 31-32%. That seems high for my weight and height... my Fitbit aria tells me my body fat % is ~23%. Maybe I'll go w/ the average! :) Probably feels about right!
