P.S. I can't do inspirational quotes everyday.
I hope you have a great day!!10 -
Today I promised a coworker I would walk with her to pick up her car after work. She said we are to have super weather today. So far it's raining and I won't walk next to a four lane highway in the rain . Not during rush hour. Good weather yes rain no. I will drive her to pick up her car if the rain doesn't stop. Hubby is not for it in general if we are going to walk 5 miles he prefers the park not the highway. He doesn't understand I just don't want her walking alone.
I have never thought of myself in the character mode. If I am to be truly honest it would be cookie monster. Not today's version but the one from my day who went bizerk over cookies and once he started had to eat them all.6 -

Exercised?: Yes. Walked 4km+ in 30 minutes (Flat - lunchtime walk).
Calories?: Yes.
Tracked?: Yes.
Minor victory today. Hit the first of my weight goals (10kg under my weight at Jan 1). 3 (or 4) more to go. Posted this in What's on your mind today?. @bocasdelbobdog. Thanks for the comment.
If I am a character it's
Any knowledge or power I have is borrowed from others. Occasionally I am a hopeless dreamer, thinking I am more than I am. I make mistakes (and try fix them on my own). I am reluctant to ask for help (even when in over my head). I will own my mistakes and try to learn from them.
To me, I look at the UAC group as super heroes. Valiantly fighting to do right in the face of life's adversities (and their own demons). Constantly helping each other.

I like the quote @Slimpossible007 - let's all push past our comfort zone this week!
I haven't thought of myself as a cartoon character before, but what popped in my head was Wonder Women (but with more clothes on please, lol). Several years ago, my husband, kids and I all ran a 5k run with obstacle course, and you dressed up like superheroes. I was Wonder Women. Hubby was Capt. America, and boys were Superman and Ironman. We had so much fun! I have never read a superhero comic book in my life, so don't read too much into it. I just like the image of someone strong and powerful!

It's beautiful day sun is shining, however I still lacked all motivation to get out and do my minimum 20 minutes .. so I called my mum and asked her if she fancied a walk ... she was over the moon .. turns out she has been walking on her own as well and been finding it boring .... so a 110 mins walk followed .. couldn't believe I had been out that long !!!
I thought it was only 50 mins but when I got home and mapped my walk I realised i would have had to be running to make that distance (3.7 miles) ... then noticed the time was 7 30 not 6 30 lol
well pleased
exercise YES ... 110 minute walk I even surprised myself
tracked yes even my 5 calorie fruity water

Kitchen is closed. I might have a tomato and an orange for dessert but still in budget.
Minimal exercise today but I still count it as a yes. I had 3 days on for my knee. Total rest for it today. I think tomorrow will be good for climbing. Maybe not full on but something good. I might climb up to that single track, throw my bike behind a bush and hike like I did yesterday.
Oh my scale is back to working. It is reading correctly now. Showing movement in a direction that correlates to my tracking efforts.5 -

Exercise: Yes, even though my workout buddy bailed on me "because of the weather." To be fair, it stormed this morning something fierce, and on my run this evening I did need to be rescued from the rain, if only to keep my phone from getting wet. A 30-minute run and 7 minutes of walking.
Calories: Yes
Tracked: Yes

I always see this on other MFP groups, this discussion of what music is everbody listening to for their working out.
So here is something, a 90 minute playlist that I use for climbing. Funny thing about a playlist is that I put these ipods in my ears and the music becomes kind of a timing reference for where I should be on the hill. The last 2 songs have duration of like 12 minutes so I kind of start cranking when I hear them start. The last one is eight minutes so it is like my last gasp cranking binge to get to the finish.
The first one, heh, good and logical place to start an early morning effort.
But yeah, this is my ninety minute egg timer.
Don't know why I though this might be interesting other than I see conversations in MFP groups.
I don't know if this works, this making of shareable link to google drive.
But yeah, this is what my gut busting hill climb "sounds" like.

I put in an audio book (audible) while walking. Just finished the "Jussi Adler Olsen" - "Department Q" series, now working through the "Sam Eastland" - "Inspector Pekkala" series.
I intersperse the fiction with Pimsleur Japaneese (when finished that, planning on German, then maybe Spanish).
