Well this challenge is a challenge with yourself. The challenge is for you to win in the fight against "The Binge". Many of us struggle with binging and a few of us have found that making "The Binge" a person has helped us fight the emotions or urge to binge.

The objective of the challenge is to have more days for you (Me) than the "The Binge".

When you have a day you do not succumb to binge urges or binge give yourself (ME) a point. When you give in to the urge to binge you give 'The Binge" a point. No beating yourself up about it because tomorrow is another day. Honesty with yourself is crucial for it to help you and others.

So we keep score with ourselves the whole month. We encourage each other along the way. Please feel free to share your ups, downs, successes, struggles, etc. You will find you are not alone. See below for format. Feel free to use it or use your own format. This Challenge keeps you mindful of binging and the daily support and accountability helps also.

Check in often. The more you check and share the better you will do for the month. So are you in? You are stronger than “The Binge.” One day at a time.

Current month 2017:
Me (or you can use your user name or real name) - 0
The Binge - 0

Yesterday was iffy, between engaging in some binge-like behaviors and consuming trigger foods late in the day; by the time I pulled myself up short, I was considering putting a point in the B's ledger. But when I completed the food diary, I was still within my daily budget, courtesy of an extra long bike ride that morning. So, I decided to call the day for me, but it was close to a draw and it put me on warning. I can appreciate @totaldetermination's distinction between "days binge-free" and "days of controlled eating."

Had a terrible start after a work BBQ which set off intense cravings :-( But I'm determined to turn things around as of today! I need to continue with my progress!

Really struggling.. I posted earlier yesterday fully knowing that I was going to binge again last night... It's been a very long time since I've done that.

@mae918 - *hugs* I've been struggling too in what sounds like a similar way. I was just thinking yesterday about how "accidental" binges are so much easier to bounce back from than planned ones (which is what my binge was the other day too). It's like once I decide to not care for one day, it's hard to start caring again, as opposed to an "Oops, I'll do better tomorrow" situation...

Yes @Moxie42 -- I fully agree. And, thank you. I wanted to think I'd do better today, but I really had no idea. But, somehow.. binge-free today.

It seems like a never ending story with our group we go great guns for days and days and then the wheels come off. But the positive thing we seem to show back up. I'm not sure how you tap into that BINGE free habit 100% but I believe its out there.

@hillmike56 - I'm with ya. I was doing really well during a difficult time and even though things have lightened up for me now -- I just hit a rough patch with bingeing. It's been many months since I've struggled like I have in the past week.. Here's hoping we're on he upswing now!
