I really need some accountability. I have been gaining and losing the same few pounds for the past year. When I noticed Christmas was 15 weeks from Monday, I decided it was a good time to start a weight loss challenge. Anyone can join. Your goal weight is for the challenge, not your ultimate, unless that is the same.

Every Monday you post
Starting Weight:
Current Weight:
Goal Weight:

Then, if you want. say what your plans for the week are to lose weight, what worked or didn't work the week before, and ask for any advice you need.

I'm new to MFP community and I'm in for the Christmas Challenge. I can't seem to stay on track and look forward to having to be accountable.

    Starting Weight: 140
    Current Weight: 140
    Goal Weight September 138.5 (-1.5)

    Sept. 11 -140 lbs

I was 142 yesterday so not trusting this fluctuation. Not going to let the scale determine how I feel though. Great getting back to monitoring and eating meals to fulfill rather than grazing and end up eating more.
  • Hey everyone! I'm excited to participate! I originally wanted to lose a little weight for a friend's wedding on Dec 30, so this is perfect for me.

    Starting Weight (Sept 11): 151.0
    Current Weight: 151.0
    Goal Weight: 145.0

    Here we go!!!
    SW: 140
    CW: 134.8
    GW: 122 (by Christmas)
  • This is perfect!

Starting Weight, Sep 11: 161 (seeing that I'd gotten over 160 this morning prompted me to log back in here. I haven't tracked since 2015.)
    Current Weight: 161
    Goal Weight: 145 by Christmas.

Candy and Thanksgiving between now and then.

This week is really about counting and switching everything to water and no cal options. I always feel like the water switch is a "free" 5lbs.

I'll join! Love the idea of a longer term goal.

    age: 40
    Height: 5ft 6
    SW: 140lb
    CW: 128 lb
    GW: 119lb

I'd love to reach my goal by Christmas which would be less than 1lb a week and should be manageable. Would be just amazing to start 2018 at goal weight! Aim for Monday - 127lb.
    Good luck everyone!

Also keto and IF. No travel here but we do have a vacation coming up in November. By then I was hoping to have lost 20+ lbs and by Christmas the remaining for 14lbs. I am not losing as much and as fast as I hope in IF and Keto

Sounds like a silly question but what do you folks do with extra exercise calories once hit macro goals? Follow paleo eating and find that my grams are met especially in carbs / protein and I have 700+ calories left. Do you stick to fats for remainder? try to keep % of total calories instead of grams? Don't use extra calories? Just trying to get a feel

Oops a few days late to the game:

    SW: 122
    CW: 122
    GW: 110

Some of it will be fluid retention (hurrah period), so I'm looking at 9 or so pounds.

My problem is I'm so mentally TIRED of eating at a deficit (I started at 127ish at the beginning of the summer). I can only seem to manage at most 100 calories under maintenance these days. I just am so scared of the hanger, its the WORST. My goal is to improve my mental stamina; maybe getting back into early mornings will help.

What are your total calories? Do you add for exercise? Sounds counterintuitive but maybe add more healthy fats. They satisfy more and balance out hunger pains / cravings.
