Today I feel slightly lost but also positive. I was discharged from the specialist I have been seeing for the last year and a bit this morning, and did week 2 day 1 of couch to 5k this afternoon.

Today I'm feeling a little nervous because I have a meeting after work at a bar downtown and I normally wouldnt have the control to not eat or drink something. Going to dinner downtown Friday night so I need to be good today!

Today I feel sad and anxious because of some people in my life who aren’t well. I am recognizing it’s okay to feel this way. I can also feel grateful for what health we all do have.

    Today I am feeling TIRED!!!
I am feeling tired because I stayed up entirely too late (watching the game) and now I’m sleep walking and my children are watching me instead of the other way around. Any pointers on how to set a bedtime?...I need to give myself one ***she yawnssssss***. AND I need a bedtime routine.

Today I feel excited and like I can do this. I worked out both days this weekend and meal prepped yesterday. I am all set for breakfast, lunch, and dinner all week long so I am feeling pretty successful already going into this week.

Nice! You are ALL SET! Congrats on making this happen....(where did you find the time to do this?, I'd love to be ahead like this)

I honestly have no idea! Haha. Yesterday was like a whirlwind! Did all the laundry including sheets, gym, grocery shopping, took down Christmas tree (I was way behind on that), meal prep, and made dinner. I didn't sit much yesterday... The bottle of wine may have been fueling my movement.

HAHA! Whatever gets it done. Maybe I should try some ;)

We do take health for granted. I can't agree with that more. Hope your spirits are lifted soon. *HUGSSS*

I use my alarm setup in my Fitbit and set up a time for a "pre" bedtime warning. I set it for 30 minutes before my goal bedtime. It buzzes on my Fitbit and tells me "time to get ready for bed!" I thought I was being silly at first, but it really does help remind me that I should start winding down for the night.

Found it! I didn't even know my watch had an alarm (I switched from a Fitbit to a Garmin). HAHA! Thanks for the tip! It's all set up. I may add a little light reading...15-20 minutes. I will let you guys know how this goes. *fingers crossed*

    Good morning!
    Today I feel ENERGIZED!
I feel this way because I slept for 7 hours and I got a 5am workout in. I’m about to eat breakfast and have my coffee. I hope this feeling lasts throughout the day :#

That's great! When I first set it, I thought I was being a little silly. But I have found that it's a great tool to remind me that I need to start winding down. I hope it helps!

Today I feel happy. It's rainy here and so beautiful. I've kept my stress level to a minimum at work, and managed to stay within calorie goal so far this week with planning (not perfect, but not just ditching the effort either). Happy Hump Day!

    Today I feel: relieved.

I was stressing about my weight so I took my measurements and have lost an inch off my waist since my last measurement. I know I've been killing my workouts but the scale doesn't! Two weeks til bikini time.

Today I am feeling disappointed. I was doing very well at getting back into a good exercise routine but I fell recently on my shoulder and I now have a rotator cuff injury. The only exercises I am focusing on right now are my physio exercises which are helping a lot. I am still logging my food and trying to make good food choices.

Today I feel confident. Sun's out again after two days of gloom. I dug into cookies last night but then I exercised in front of the mirror for the first time in ages, to get back into an upper body/core routine. I do glutes/leg exercises every day since my total hip replacement 2.5 yrs ago.

    Today I am feeling scatterbrained.
I am feeling this way because there is so much to do and so little time to do it. I am thinking I should go back to how I used to make checklists, the ones written down because the ones on my phone I can’t adjust, and see if that works. I like to be ahead of things in life and although that isn’t possible all the time it’s better. I like to be organized.

    Today I feel: OK
    I feel this way because…
I started a new job with therapeutic services at the end of last year, and I still feel incompetent and like I have no idea what I'm doing. My supervisor is way too hands-off for me and only works at the same site I do for about 4 hours each week. I'm super high strung with unreasonably high expectations and tendencies to create mountains of pressure out of molehills of negligible details. I'm painfully reserved, and I struggle with asking for help from people I've known for a long time, and I just don't feel comfortable reaching out to someone who is not really even there.

Everybody says the skills just come with experience, and while I understand that, I'd also like to feel competent right now.

Additionally, I feel conflicted about how much preparation and tasks I have to do outside of work. Of course I want what's best for my clients, which requires me putting in my personal time that I don't get compensated for to plan and prepare materials, but I also believe work-life balance is super important, and that I shouldn't be working unless I'm at work or during working hours of the work week. I feel like it's almost immature to want to not work outside of working hours in this job.

Despite all the pressure I'm putting on myself professionally, I have a source of comfort in my sweet brat dog. I think if I had her trained to be a therapy dog (for my clients), I could bring her to work with me every day. She'd hate the commute more than I do though.

However, I bought myself a positivity journal for Xmas and I'm trying to make a habit of completing that weekly.

    Feels good to vent!

Positive thought journal prompt for this week: list the things you are really good at.

For me, it's got to be hearing screenings and hand-eye coordination -> I am super good at catching items I accidentally fling into the air.

Edit: just posted and realized I wrote a book up in here. Sorry! Lol I'm reserved but also a major over-sharer I guess??
