As I returned to the condo in Phoenix, the afternoon sun made the mountain look magenta. I just had to take a photo.
Today, I fly from pleasant temperatures Arizona to unpleasant winter in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. Friday, I attend a full day conference about income tax and life insurance. My life is so filled with excitement! Sigh
Hopefully, your day is more full of happiness and life giving excitement!

Work really messed up my schedule today. Moved a phone conference meeting into my dinner time at the last minute without consultation.
Only managed a short walk, but it was hot (30+C) and I was tired.

@RangerRickL How is it you and I have never crossed paths? You have visited places I've either lived in, been to, or have family. When I was 5, my family lived in Milwaukee. I loved it! it was the first big city I'd ever lived in. I loved watching out for the flame on the old Wisconsin Gas Building. I wanted to stay there forever
but I did not get to. I would not mind visiting again.
The last time I did visit was in 1996.3 -

11th January - home again!
Exercise: Yes. Lots of walking at Gatwick airport, dragging a suitcase, but also managed a 'proper' walk into town and back to see some friends.
Calories: Yes. Stayed under and didn't eat into exercise calories.

Pleasant temperatures, heh.
I finally get out for some exercise. Temperature at home reads out a balmy 39 degrees. Whoa! That's warm enough that I don't gotta do the hand warmer thing. So I gets up to park, put my stuff together and I am a bit quizzical about all that. I better have some in my pack was my thought. Hand warmers and mittens. That is the right combination as it turns out.
That canyon I go up is in the shade. Sun ain't gonna hit that till Spring. Yesterday was rain at my house. It was snow in that scampy canyon. Only a smidge of snow but I can't ride on it. Hey, I am an old guy and a broken hip is something I ain't got time for.
So I only made it 3 miles. That is like 800 or so of climbing. Pretty wimpy I guess. Wait a minute. I claim for my age group not bad. Garmin calls the effort 660 calories. Strava says it is only 230. Hey, if you were in a mood for beer which would you pick?
I went an seen my little Buddy. I should have rode my bike there.
That little guy makes me happy. We worked on opening doors. He goes up to a door. If he can work the handle or knob and pull it open, I let him go in. So we go around visiting other classes, you know, other kids.
Beauty big time! Teachers put up with us. Somehow they can figure a lesson for that.

Teachers like us. They like to look at us. I seen them doing it. They stand around in little clutches on their way to or from lunch. They stand there smiling just looking at me and Buddy.
I think I will go to walmart and buy me some more handwarmers.8 -

I’m in Milwaukee at a hotel right across from the airport. Surprisingly, nice and quiet.
When I went to check in, I realized that my cell phone must have fallen out of my jacket pocket when I got out my wallet to give the driver a cash tip. That is not good karma!
I’ve made do with my iPad but I do not have a phone connection on that device. Having a cell phone has become a travel necessity.
Calories: a really good day as I ate very light until supper at a BBQ bar. Nonetheless, I was under limit with a comfortable margin

Still can't exercise. Medical tests are starting to come back, so I'm hopeful there will be answers. This is my 4th pass day, but I'm going to keep updating. While I can't exercise, I can still be accountable for my calories and logging. I'm hopeful that I can walk tomorrow or this weekend!

Heavy cardio workouts, today. Going back to work on Monday, after 4 weeks off (surgery recovery) so I want to get in some good workouts.
