Hello everyone, I'm in for March. Just hoping to kick off my fitness journey (again)....3

Hi Everyone. I'm new to this group. I'm in a couple of others, but they never seem to have the level of activity I'd like so I'm hoping this one will be a little more active. I like the level of focus and mindfulness it will require, too. I'm excited to get to know all of you!
I'm 30, work full time and have a 1.5 year old son. I enjoy cycling and eat Keto. I need to be a little more careful not taking bites here and there of my sons food so I think this group will help me be more honest with my tracking.2 -
Hi,
March will be the third month for me. January was a success, but February I had some problems and had to drop out and make some adjustments to my workouts. Still, February was a success since weight wise since end of month<start of month, so the main goal was met.
I'm looking forward to March and checking in with everyone daily!3 -
I weighed in at 330.1 this morning as I joined a 5 week/15 lb challenge. My mindset, however, is 16 weeks/100 lbs. I know this can be done. It's a matter of just doing it. By joining this challenge, it will add accountability for my meal planning and logging.
Welcome to UAC
I joined Weight Watchers few years ago when I was my heaviest and struggling. Some things I learned that has stay with me is that the best way to loose weight that will last is roughly 1 to 2lbs a week.- You did not gain weight in few months. It was over some time.
- You loose weight slowly. Forgive yourself and be patient with yourself.
- Celebrate small victories along the way
- You form good habits in the process.
- Your body adjust healthy.
- Set small goals. You are not disappointed when the big goal set is not met which may make you give up.
- You are focus on other NSV along the way.
- This is life process.
Over the years I have successfully used these knowledge to loose weight and keep it off.
I joined UAC to- be in the company of like minded people
- maintain my weight and good habits
- remind myself that this is for life and it is okay because I am special and unique
I wish you all the best in this journey.

Hello! I'm a FT working mom of 2. Happily married to a man who loves to snack as much as I do! We work opposite shifts so life is stressful. Exercising means getting up earlier than I am used to. Here for the first time. Ready to make a commitment to myself.
Age: 39
Goal: lose 60ish lbs5 -
My name is Tiffany. I’m a 40 year old single mom of twin boys. They are 16. 16 years ago when I gave birth I weighed exactly what I weigh now. I slowly and steadily gained 3 lbs a year and now find myself clinically obese.
I’m a veteran. I’ve always been a bit “thick” even in the best shape of my life. But now I’m 50 lbs over anything possibly considered healthy. My hips hurt. My knees. My back. I’m tired. I struggle reaching all my body parts.
I want my life back. I can do this. I need accountability.8 -
Hello everyone, I'm a 25yo pharmacy student finishing up my last 1.3 years of graduate school. Since being in college I've really let my diet and exercise habits slip, and my waistline shows it. I always tell myself that once I'm finished with school, I'll have more time to devote to my health, but I'm tired of waiting and gaining in the meantime. I hope this group will help me keep myself honest and accountable for my actions. I'm sure it isn't impossible to fit a healthy lifestyle into a busy school/work schedule, I just need to stay motivated to figure out how to do it.4

I’m 37, work full-time and have two stinkin cute kids (7yr old boy & 20 month old girl). I want to get healthier & stay that way to keep up with them & set a good example. This is my 3rd month in the challenge and enjoy having to stay accountable with such supportive people.2

Hi guys. I am 57 y.o. and in maintenance. I lost 95 pounds last year and am trying to keep it off. My goal is 210-215. I am currently at 216.2. I try to walk daily. If I can’t get outside I use my Wii FitPlus for at least 30 minutes. I am also trying yoga. It is tough. I firmly believe in calories in vs. calories out. Good luck to all.4

Hello there! Glad to join.
I'm a triathlete working at reaching my racing weight but as the season has already started for me, it's hard to stick to a given day for weight ins, hence why I was looking for a group to keep me accountable but without weight ins on a fixed day.
May aim is to get to the title of regional champion, a friend of mine currently holds it and I'd gladly be the next in two years. Getting to a proper weight is just part of it, and maintaining will be the other part. Not much to lose but that doesn't make it easier.4 -
Hello everyone! This is my first UAC challenge. I have spent January and February setting up a fitness routine that works for me, but I NEED to start tracking my food intake! Glad to have found this group.

This is day 2 of my journey. I did MFP a while back but didn't stick with it. I am 58 yrs. old and need to lose 80 lbs. I have fought my weight it seems like all my adult life. My life took a dramatic change last year. My husband passed away suddendly Jan.31,2017. He had only been sick a few weeks before he passed. It was a total shock and this pass year has been one of the most difficult times in my life. I am just now trying to get adjusted to this new lifestyle. I fight depression and turn to food for comfort. I really need to get healthier and lose this weight. I am hoping joining this group will help me with accountability and I also could be an encouragement to others. Thanks for listening to this long post. Looking forward to getting to know some of you!8

Count me in! Trying to loose 40+ lbs over the next year, I need to loose about 120 total. This challenge should help me start off on the right track.4

In it for accountability!! I started changing my life and eating habits in December and have lost 30 lbs. I'm pretty good about daily logging and I'm horrible about daily exercise. I actually do not like to exercise, but realize it is a necessity. The only work out I get is when I'm at work and that's only three days a week for 36 hours, but I get my steps in there! Now to fill the other 4 with exercise. Looking forward to working with this group, because I love a challenge.4

I lost my husband in January 2009, and it was devastating. Sometimes, it feels like yesterday, and sometimes it feels like it happened to someone else. I'm glad you found this group and hope we can all be your supporters and cheerleaders!5 -
I am excited to join this challenge! I have been logging my food now for 21 days straight and eating within my calories so I feel really good about that going forward. I wanted to join this challenge to get me to incorporate the exercise aspect. My life is crazy busy but I am really committed to the food part so just need to add the exercise also. Excited to see/read all the interactions among the group! We GOT this!3

What a bunch of beautiful people who have so bravely bared their souls in this post. Good luck to you all. You can do this. We're all here to help, support and encourage. It seems like a lot of you are suffering. We're here with you and on your side.
I have been an on and off member of the UAC for over a year. It's a wonderful group and I'm so thankful to everyone who keeps it going so that those of us who lose our way can return when we're ready. I'm committing to posting daily in March. It's a busy month but where possible I'll post more than yes x 3/pass!
I'm a 30something mum to a toddler. I teach part time and I'm studying for a qualification as a specialist teacher for deaf children. I don't have much free time at the moment but I'll try my best. See you all tomorrow! You've got this!5 -
I'm really excited to join this challenge. Scared, but excited. I know I need something like this to help me stick to my macros/calories, as lately I've been going over the daily goals. I dont have trouble working out each day but food is really where I have problems with - especially with eating out on weekends.
Initially I was worried about only having 3 passes in a month (because I'm slipping up everyday at the moment). But I've decided to change my mentality and focus on the positive. So...my aim is to have my name on the list where everyone made it by end of the month!
Looking forward to getting to know everyone

Hello everyone! My name is Isabel and Im 34 y/o. I have been working out consistently since January 2018, however I would like a group to be accountable and share experiences with. I have about 30 lbs to lose. I am currently beginning weight lifting and enjoy cardio.4

I’m a 35 yo wife and mother (son is 11, daughter is 2). I worked full time for 16 years and decided to be a stay at home mom. Ironically March 1st 2017 was my first day of my “new job”. This past year staying home I have gotten so lazy. I had big plans of getting out there with my toddler and walking, going to the park and all kinds of activities I would have time for now. Well, that didn’t happen as much as I thought. I felt like because I’ve always worked and had a high stress level job, I was owed lazy days where my baby and I would cuddle on the couch and snuggle all day (I mean who wouldn’t want to do that with a hillarious blonde haired chubby cheeked baby??). I ended up doing that TOO much and along with being too lazy to even cook (I know I know, lazy to the extreme) I didn’t lose weight and have since started having health issues. I have however been moderately trying to lose weight since October and so far have lost 12 pounds which is not near what I thought I would’ve lost by now. I am currently part of 2 challenges already but obviously it’s not enough to hold me accountable. I need this daily kick in the butt to be more active and STAY IN MY CALORIES!! I know it works because I was consistent for about 3 weeks at one point and lost the 1.5 pounds I have mfp set at! I just give in to cravings and can’t stop. Hopefully this challenge will keep me in line EVERYDAY because even though my biggest competition in this challenge is myself, I am still extremely competitive and want to be in that winners circle every month.7
