Robin- sorry to hear of the issues, that doctor sounds horrible!
Gary- hopefully your FIL will feel better quickly!
We headed out to Grand Rapids, MI this weekend for a craft beer specialty tapping so lots of fattening and delicious beer was consumed...only downside to the weekend was my daughter hot into an accident yesterday on out lovely icy roads...she's fine but the car is totaled...0 -
Sinning away here too.0
-
How scary, Ann! Glad your daughter is ok.
Plugging away here. Back at my low weight but hoping to reach a new milestone. Went to a party over the weekend and didn't blow it all so maybe I can get on a new roll....
Have a great week lushes!

The FIL is in a rehab facility until he can get enough strength to go home. He is not the most pleasant person to be around, which makes it that much harder to sympathize with his situation.
Ann- sorry about your daughter's car but glad she is ok. Sheet metal can be replaced. Not so much our loved ones.
Sydney- very good with maintaining the low weight! With summer coming you will totally rock!
Robin- hope this week is better at work than last.
The weather here has been mid forties and rainy. Typical PNW weather for this time of year although a bit cold. I have been on a walking routine so I have been able to be out to enjoy it.
Have not been moderating as much as I would like but am not going crazy either.0 -
So I got my Invisaline trays yesterday. My tongue is shredded and I am cranky. My back is out and I need to get to a crackter practer. On the bright side, I have already noticed that I won't be snaking as much or eating the random bite here or there. This is going to be an interesting year. Good job Syd. Ann glad the accident didn't harm your daughter. Gary, we are supposed to get some sunshine this week.0
-
Robin- thanks for bringing on the sunshine!0
-
Gary, I feel for you.
Robin, that's one way to drop some lbs! Just think how great your teeth will look.
Got in our new windows. Next up I need to research kitchen remodels. Blah...I'm not looking forward to that mess. Drinking wine, as usual.0 -
Syd- the kitchen is my second favorite room in the house! Looking forward to hearing of your ideas.0
-
Overdid it with the wine last night but had a pretty good reason to celebrate....
The son got his 1st official real job offer!! Medical, dental, retirement benefits and everything! He graduates next month, so obviously this is a huge relief. And he'll be working at Alzheimer's San Diego, which is a wonderful organization that provides so much support for families. I couldn't be more proud.
After a pretty crappy 2017, I am so very grateful for all the positive things coming our way this year.
Now if I could just get my *kitten* in gear and start exercising again.0 -
Syd- Congratulations to your son! As parents seeing our children turn into successful adults is the height of child rearing. Now if he could bring you many grandchildren your life will be complete!0
-
Eeek! I'm willing to wait a bit on the grandchildren, Gary!
Happy 420 everyone0 -
Happy 420 back at ya! Great deals to be had at your local outlet!0
-
And I heard they were blowing world's tallest Bong in downtown Seattle. A bunch of glass artists all getting together.
Congrats on your son's accomplishments, Syd. You should be proud.0 -
Robin- At first I misread your comment about blowing the worlds tallest dong! HA!
Have a great weekend all!0 -
LOL...Gary!
Hi lushes!
I am really into sipping tequila lately. I am trying all different brands of agave and Espolon is very smooth and has a great bottle to boot.
Tomorrow is Monday and tequila makes Sunday night better0 -
Gary - lol
Sydney- big congrats to your son!!0 -
Hi Diana aka Wolfie! Many members of my family are tequila sippers. Pretty common in Mexican heritage to bring it out after dinner and sit around the table for hours. My problem is I don't sip. Seriously, you'd think at my age I'd have more self control.
Speaking of my age...bday this week. Husband informed me of a staycation over the weekend so I suppose I need to pull it together diet and exercise wise during the week. Maybe I'll get in a 0 or 20 -
Great to see you guys again! Diane and Ann! I could never get into tequila- i think it all goes back to some college parties back in the late 70s...... :drinker:
Have a great birthday week Sydney. I wish we could all be in sunny Dan Diego to celebrate it with you!
Moderated over the past two days and hope to keep doing so!0 -
Hey Syd- Happy Birthday! Mine is next week so I can relate...how are those zeros going?
Not so much on the zeros here but moderating pretty well...working out again at least so that's something...just plugging along...0 -
Happy Birthday Syd. Hi Ann and Diana. I was sipping tequila on Sunday but it wasn't really working for me so I didn't sip much. Our weather has been awesome this week. So I have been doing the summer white wine thing. Only 10 day New Orleans. I am so ready for a vacation.0
-
Thanks guys! And Happy early birthday Ann/fellow Taurus!! Not doing so great on the 0's but I am managing to moderate (so far) I see your workouts and they're inspiring. Altho I have yet to really get off my *kitten*. Getting in some good walks, that's about it.
Woke up to flowers and 2 really nice bottles of wine from the husband so probably not much moderating the rest of the week.0 -
-
Down a pound for the week!
Good luck on your new position Diane. Terrible bosses suck!
Have a great weekend all!0 -
-
Hello, hello, hello ?0
-
Robin- as one who has been retired since 2011, I can highly recommend it! Seriously, go as soon as you think you can!
Not moderating here. Going to change that starting today!0 -
Yay Diana!! Getting away from a horrible boss is a life changer. I mean, it's not as good as winning the lottery and telling work to permanently f off...but it's a good thing.
I feel ya on the retirement, Robin. If we could swing the health care costs, we'd go for it too.
Back from the bday getaway. Had a great time doing not very much. Oh, we drank and ate a lot. We're really good at that.0 -
I was going to try to abstain until Cinco de Mayo, but once again I am aboard the fail boat.0
-
Had my yearly physical Monday. Also had the first of two shingles vaccines. Yesterday had flu like symptoms and was worthless. So, no booze! Today feel much better!
Hope to keep the abstaining/moderation thing going for awhile.
Diane- We all spend time on the Fail Boat!0 -
Doing sort of ok with moderating - had a zero yesterday and planning on a zero tonight...so that's sort of ok!
I figure I'll be drinking when we go away for my birthday weekend but we'll also be super busy so I'm hoping the two will balance each other out....
Diana - sadly, I spend WAY too much time on the fail boat.... Good to see you though! Haha!0
