End of June goal-265
I had a weekend getaway 2 weeks ago and was unable to weigh on 6/3. I didn't eat well for one meal (ate pizza, including the crusts) and I felt so bloated. It took me a while to go back down. I went up 6 lbs and was not very happy about that. I was determined though. It's no joke that even one "cheat" throws you off, both physically and even mentally. I was back down to the previous weight last Sunday and lost quite a bit this week. I have incorporated IF (16:8) and pushing the water even more than before. Even though I may not check in a lot, just know I read everyone's inspiring posts and that helps me keep going!

Not complaining at all, just wish it was a little faster loss. But steady as she goes. At this rate I will not hit my June goal, but that's better than gaining!2 -
Finally, the 150's!!!! Woohoo!!! I've started logging food again, paying more attention to hitting the protein macros, and employing IF a few days a week. Also, drinking green tea and upping my water.

Nice job, @laneybird!1 -
So I've really been enjoying the gym. I upgraded my membership and now I can bring a guest every time. My 13yo daughter went with me Friday night. It was awesome! I ate well this week (hello roast pork shoulder!) and still took off the lbs I added from eating sheet cake. LOL
Last night we had an impromptu date and I managed to not sabotage my efforts and even took off a few ounces off from yesterdays weight...SCORE!!
Starting Weight 7/17/17: 262.2
6/3 - 182
6/10 - 183.6
6/17 - 178.6
My "WHY" for this week is also an NSV...I bought a bikini!! It looks good on me, and I look good in it!! WOO HOO. More motivation to keep getting to the gym and working on these legs and abs.

No victory on the scale for me today. In fact, this is the worst (Scale) week of the year to date. It is so bad I refuse to write it down. I will treat it like the name Lord Voldemort from Harry Potter, the name never to speak.
NSV: Play! I have come to realize that play is an important aspect of good health. Easy for me to say because I’m a retired empty nester with very few pressing requirements or obligations. (jobs, kids, money……..) However, it is not as easily said as done to turn off the old nose to the grind stone mental approach I’ve had for most of my adult life. But, I’m getting there.
I’ve been taking a class on guitar building that has consumed my focus and attention this last week. I took my eye off the KETO ball and literally struck out big time this week. Not an excuse but a fact! Here’s the good news (NSV). My weight gains this week will not be viewed as a failure but a sacrifice to another important part of my overall health, “Play”. I have come to understand, for me, if anything is to be sustainable it must incorporate “Fun”.
So, maybe my balance scale was tilted a little too much to “Play” this week. Easy fix – I’ll just shift back logging, tracking and Keto diligence. My long-term goals may be delayed but not abandoned because of my set back on the scales. In fact, because of my “Play”, my focus and attention are rejuvenated. What makes “Play” important to me is it takes good health to Play. Five months ago, I didn’t have the health to complete 40 hours of guitar making, double headers of softball twice each week or a nine game per day bowling tournament. Now I am a keto-machine and “Play” is an essential cog in my mechanism.

June goal weight: 228
May weight: 242.6
Sunday 06/03: 235.6 (-7.0)
Sunday 06/10: 235.0 (-0.6)
Sunday 06/17: I don’t have access to a scale
Sunday 06/24:
Still on the road this week so I don’t have access to my scale. my goal for the month is to stay on program regardless the numbers that the scale show. However my NSV this week: for the first time ever I do not feel that food is controlling me. I’ve managed to stay on track as far as food intake even that it’s been a crazy trip with long delays and long days at work. I was able to make good choices even with the lunch that was brought to us. I have 4 more days before heading back home so I’m staying positive that I can have a plan and work it through.

@stormywxs288 You're right about "play" being important to good health. Those activities you engage in that you enjoy release chemicals in your brain that keep you in good emotional, spiritual & physical health.
Guitar making sounds fun. Post a picture when you've finished a step you'd like to show off.1 -

I just realized my #s were off by a week somehow... lol! Anyway, updated. Losing at a good rate, I think. About a pound a week feels really good! And my scale tells me my BMI as well as Body Fat %, and seeing those numbers go down each week makes me feel even better about myself. ^_^5 -
Hello! I've been gone awhile (on vacation), and spent some time today catching up on all your posts! Welcome to all the newbies! We went to Maine for vacation and did some serious hiking along part of the AT at both Mt. Katahdin and Mt. Washington! We had beautiful weather and super gorgeous views and my knees are STILL yelling at me from all the hiking! Im proud of myself that I stuck to it (keto) on vacation, and altho I didnt lose as much as I had hoped (couldnt weigh myself every single day on vacation), I'm SOOOO happy that I didnt gain.....

Thanks for your continued support and encouragement Nikki. It took us just over 40 hours to build these guitars. Four full 8-hour days and three 3-hour evenings. We were on our feet hunched over our work most of that time. I honestly could not have done this 5 months ago. Keto has given me the stamina to work and play hard again. Not to mention all the good chemicals I must have in my brain now as well as the smile on my face.

Yes!! That's amazing! I love wood work although I've never built anything as complex as a guitar. I have made a couple of adirondack chairs though. My passion hobby is knitting.4 -

Lol!! I'm surprised as well...trust me, my body doesn't love me that much! But usually my body takes a couple days to show the gain. I did that on Friday and Saturday...so today it's up another lb. Also...I only had coffee earlier in the day I had junk.
But I'll take it. I'm doing the B&B fast this week to get it off1 -
