Chris I am so sorry. :( You can always go back to your other doc. He would understand why you wanted another opinion. Just tell him you hurt and it is driving you insane. Hugs to you.

Paula I can visualize you owning that new/old skirt. I am working on getting rid of my cravings. Awesome going. But please remember to eat. Do not want you getting sick!

Kathy hope you are doing good.

Had to purchase a new ticket for my mom. DH thought it said AM, but it was PM. I was not having her fly out at 1100 something in the night! That cost me almost $400. They wanted me to pay to cancel the old ticket also. No way, just stupid! And we had to get her a note from her doctor to use her oxygen on the plane. Drove to Denver last Thursday at 0430. Had breakfast in Cheyenne. My 12 year old granddaughter spent the night so she could come see great grandmother off. We really enjoyed having her. Not long enough though. We stopped at a garden shop in Fort Collins on the way home. Rocky bought a large fountain. Darn thing makes me have to pee all the time listening to it on the patio!

Helped Rocky well his stepping stones at the Farmers market on Sunday. That was fun. He did over $330 in profits before noon.

Back to normal around home now. Got rid of all my trigger foods.

The NaturallySlim program is interesting. It doesn’t limit what you eat but how and when you eat. So I’m working on only eating when I’m hungry and chewing very slowly and throughly. I do feel fuller when I’m done so I think I’m eating less.
Chris, hope you feel better soon.

So sorry about your dealing with the airline, Shelley. That was just wrong. Glad your granddaughter got to see her great grandmother. I laughed at your having to pee all the time listening to the the large fountain...too funny. Nice job on the stepping stones.

Don't know if I'll be able to get my other doc back. Everyone at Kaiser is saying "No." I have to wait until he is accepting new patients. I have a "best" friend who helped me get him years ago and is still his patient. Had lunch with her this past Sunday and she was saying that she's at a point where she doesn't want to help anyone at work any more because they are all nasty people who have been horrible to her for the past 10 years. She said she pretty much didn't want to help anyone and that she's been feeling this way since her husband died about five months ago. I've known her for 10 years. Took her job at the College District when she went to work for the City. We discovered that our husbands worked at the Water District together and we were both WW members. We went to Weight Watchers together for years, the Harvest Festivals every year, she was her when Nick passed, I was there when her husband passed. Yesterday I asked if she would help me and she pretty much said "No." Oh well...

Boy, something must be in the stars... My husband and I spent couples therapy discussing my boss telling me I wasn't doing my job, that what actually took 6 hours should take 1.5 hours (then she thought and said, no much less) and that if I didn't get up to par, she was putting me on notice! LOL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Chris that is awful. How does a person get a second opinion? And why did he take you off his list of patients. I think your friend is in a bad place right now. :'(

Paula I am really sorry. How awful for you. I hope

    Clara that sounds interesting.

    My eyes keep closing.

Shelley, he didn't take me off his list...I put in for a change of doctors after talking to her on the phone about my neck and shoulder pain. My doc wasn't available for phone conference until the next day, but I couldn't stand the pain any longer so I talked w/her. She was great. We talked for a long time. I made the switch and went in to see her. I really do like her. Maybe she's just being careful. She did send me to another doctor who went over my MRIs and ex-rays. He's the one who sent me to the Pain Shot Doc who I see on the 27th. I think I surprised everyone by having this for a lot of years before I said anything. There is no cure for arthritis.

And I think you're right, Shelley. My friend is in a bad place right now. I have reached out to her saying I'd go to her house and help her, go shopping with her or just sit and stare at her because I'm good at that. I'll wait and see if she responds to my offer.

Paula, that stinks. She sounds evil. How did things go this week?

154.5 today. Was on the phone with the union rep during lunch. Couldn't take the call at work so I walked. And walked. And walked. 45 minutes of striding around town with a phone attached to my ear. Walking feels so frigging good.

I sent her an email confirming what I heard, and she backed down. She said there "must be a misunderstanding because she didn't think she'd say (all that inflammatory stuff)" - but I scribbled her words as she said them and she is backpedaling!

So glad I didn't blow up, it's a small miracle, I held it together. This may be another chance to make lemonade. We're probably going to mediation. Maybe my legacy can be helping her hear why her employees feel demeaned.

I suspect the auditors dinged us; and I was the closed whipping boy. I'm not masochistic, so that ain't gonna last. :noway:

Paula I sometimes think we need a recorded whenever we go in for a chat with the bosses. I hate being lied to. And just because they have a bad day does not give them the right to take it out on others. If you still need to blow off steam I hear burpees are good for thar. ;)

Chris I sure hope Someone can get you some relief. <3<3

Paula, I hope you win in mediation. And, I'm so proud of your one million zero burpees and how fast you got to them!! Amazing!

Shelley, just hope the shot works and they figure out what's going on back there.

Paula, I’m a boss and Your boss should have confirmed what she meant with an email to you. You should not have had to email her . She should have been clear and not had to back pedal. My employer trains us to always communicate clearly. She needs to learn more about good management.

    Shelly hope things get better.

Not sure if I’m losing yet on NaturallySlim. Weigh in is on Monday. Looked at one of the videos and realized they do want us keeping a food diary so I’m getting back to logging on MFP.

That’s true. I always think of myself as a coach. So I may have to criticize but I do it clearly, compassionately and respectfully. I see some of my associates get praised for being strict but no one seems to notice their high turnover!

That's just stuff sitting in your gut, Chris, not on your hips. It can still be flushed out of your system because it hasn't been fully realized as flesh yet.

I wish I could make your pain go away. I also wish I could convince you to try low-carb so you wouldn't be driven crazy by evil GC's and peppermints.

    <3 you,

Oh my gosh! Hard to believe he is 2 now. Where did the time go?

Guys I am here still. I have been busy with a cake. I have not done a wedding cake in over 20 years. I got the cakes baked and frozen. Now I am making frosting after work. 14 cups so far. Only 6 more to make. The barbecue is Saturday. I will be free after that.

Chris I am doing our workouts in the morning before work.

Thank you, Paula! Hoping the shot on Monday does the trick for a while.

WOW! Shelley, I'm so impressed! We'll need a picture when the cake is finished. Good job doing the workouts.

142.4 this morning at 3:30. We walked our 5.0 miles then p/u the boys.

SIL's truck got broken into last night outside the gym. They took his rugby bag...dumb thieves...it was full of stinky rugby clothes!! They tossed it and SIL got it back. Not sure if they got the guys or not. A woman in the gym parking lot saw them and managed to get their plate # which turned out to be bogus. Well, it's in police hands now.

Ronan's surgery is tomorrow morning. DDD and SIL are a bit stressed. We'll follow them to Oakland and sit with them until we all go home. Ronan will have an arm cast, but the doc said he'll manage just fine. I'll let you know tomorrow.

Chris I must have missed your post about Ronan's surgery. I looked for it but must be blind. I know it will go fine. Keep us posted. <3<3
I did see a funny one about muffins and coffee on the way to work. I used to love a large chocolate muffin for breakfast. Yep, no more.

I will try to remember to take a photo of it. Must use my pink camera. Nothing fancy. They are outdoors people. so it should look like a tree with some critters on it.

Ronan will love that picture. He was born with two thumbs on his right hand. They need to attach tendons and things, remove some bone. His right thumb will be "fatter" than his left. He had to be two in order to have the surgery. DDD is crazy with anxiety but she also remembers her little brother had shunts put in his ears when he was one year old and he made it through just fine. Ronan will have a cast for four weeks. DDD has had kids in her classroom with extra digits...index finger or thumb...who's parents didn't have it fixed and they get made fun of by the other kids in their classroom or kids on the playground. Nopey, nope.

I was an older student in college...could have been most other student's mother...working on my master's in English. We were assigned novels to read each week. I would keep those books to read on the weekend. The novel, coffee and a large bag of Costco peanut M&M's got me through each book...and got me an extra 60 pounds applied to my body!! Yep, no more!!!

Got my car washed this afternoon...it's all bright and shiny...and now, I'm gonna read!

Ronan is a trooper. He is going to bounce back from this wonderfully. One of our deputies shot off one of his fingers accidentally. He still gets a hard time over that.

Great job on taking off that 60 pounds. Food can be a crutch for so many things.

147 this morning. Still staying below 150. Makes me happy.

My beautiful angelfish died last week. Really hated to see that happen. I purchased a new one. It was not doing well in the quarantine. So I moved it into a 40 gallon hospital tank. She/he ate my coral! Well at least it still has an appetite.

Thank you, my friends. Ronan did really well yesterday. He doesn't understand the huge thing on his arm but DDD will help him understand. They cast starts above his elbow and encases his entire hand. He can move his fingers inside the cast but not his thumb. He'll wear this big crazy thing for six weeks. instead of being able to carry a car in each hand last night, he carried two in his left hand. We'll go over and help later this morning.

143.4 this morning at 6:00. It was a peppermint Ritz day yesterday. I ate everything. DDD ate nothing. Stress.
