I can’t view the spreadsheet on my phone but I originally put myself down to run from 8:30-9:30 (11:30-12:30 EST for me), and I’ll still plan on doing a run/walk during that time. It would be cool if we could get everyone to take a pic to represent their run and post it here.

I can run an hour if needed. I am in central Us Alabama time. Spreadsheets in general confuse me so ill just fill in whenever needed.

October 14th 2-4 PM Central . Any or all of of it

    or

October 14 midnight to 4AM ( i see @_nikkiwolf_ is available for two hours i during this time. Awesome!) perhaps @garygse would dedicate his morning run in addition to the marathon he ran to cover some of this time?

@Butterchop just let me know, i'll put you in the spreadsheet.

Ok I can do 2-3. I can do until 4 if walking is ok. I can't run that long yet.

Is there an easy way to figure out what slots still need filling?

I'm coming into this late which is probably the source of my confusion.
I see lists in the thread that don't match other lists, and the spreadsheet confuses me (probably because I wasn't around for the discussion of how it's set up)

    The spreadsheet has columns for Runners 1, 2, 3, & 4?
There's a sheet for marathons in different states?
There are sheets for groups of states?

I put my name in at 1500 - 1530 in whatever spreadsheet was in front when I opened it. Most of the slots were full (hope it's right). I think this will be Sunday at 8 am PST. My brain is a little off at the moment, so if anyone has a chance to check if I have translated the time correctly, I would appreciate it.

ETA: Sorry, I meant to ask for someone to check if my time will be Sunday morning (or is it Saturday morning?). I am fairly confident on the hour translation I cannot seem to figure the day. Le sigh.

Dennis wanted to run a marathon in the 50 states, so thats a way to run one for him and record it. His marathons are listed in there too.

Runners 1-4 are just overlap and a way that could communicate potential availability. 1 being have to have this time, 4 eh maybe this time.

Ok I didn't see my name on the spreadsheet. I think I was 2-3 on Oct 14. I am in Alabama so that will be about 5 or 6 miles in AL. If that time is taken I can probably do whatever is available

Butterchop, I was originally slated for that slot but if you can take it that would be excellent since it's going to be storming here.

I may end up doubling up on someone and running Saturday central time in order to get out there before the storm. Unfortunately I can't take anything after dark due to the park being closed then.

@RunsOnEspresso volunteered for the 8am slot so I will take my name off. I didn’t realize it was taken.

I'm really looking forward to seeing everyone's progress. Is there a fancy way we are keeping everyone updated? Or just posting in the main group.

It really hits right now. I miss him. Seems silly for someone I only knew a few weeks, but his positivity, enthusiasm and encouragement really stood out.

You can run the 8am slot too if you want. Overlap is good, knowing someone else is running with you, carrying Dennis' memory.

This is a bit last minute as we are starting in less than 3 hours (I think I have that right), but I noticed two half hour gaps.

The first gap is hour 6-6.5 (200-230 GMT, which translates to 2200-2230 or 10:00-10:30PM EST). Any takers? I see that @bubblegum2fitness put themselves as "runner 4", so maybe he/she would be willing?

The second gap is hour 19-19.5 (1500-1530 GMT, which translates to 11:00-11:30AM EST). I decided just to shift my slot up a half hour as it looks like Kev A (not sure about username, sorry) will have the hour 20 slot covered too.

I think everything else looks good unless I missed something!

@OSUbuckeye906 I can do block 6. Just had my name in column 4 in case someone else wanted/needed that spot. Will change my name to column 1 now.

Thought I'd post a final lineup of our 24 hour relay as it looks in the spreadsheet just in case something isn't correct and we have a last minute gap we need to fill. For those that listed their complete username, I tagged you in your first slot as a reminder. Also, some half hour slots weren't listed, but if you had signed up for the slot, I assumed it was for the full hour. I'm excited for this to unfold. Has anyone let Dennis' family know that we are doing a relay in his honor this weekend?

Exactly. It’s the meaning of the run that counts. Also, I know life will probably get in the way somewhere and this may not be perfect, but that’s okay. Have a great run @Orphia and everyone else! Have fun!

I'll be running sometime tomorrow but I'll likely be traveling or sick at home. Speed demon and i will be keeping him in mind on the run. (I'll post here when i start. I'll be out between an hour or two. In case someone needs a break or a friend)
