    Happy Tuesday, everyone!

Goodness, this month is almost over! What a doozy it's been for so many of us: work, personal illness, family illness - and even a party and weekend trip or two.

But this is life, right? And we're all working on losing weight and getting fit in order to get better at life.

What do you tell yourself to stay motivated when you're going through one of these difficult stretches?

First thing I do is keep in mind how much better I feel and look. I remind myself what it took to get where I'm at and if I really want to lose it all just to start over again. Then I remind myself that if I do one thing and one thing only is to keep tracking my food. If I at least track my food I will have half a clue on what's going on with my body. I remind myself that I can indulge in great food if I track it. By tracking I can stay on track even with the good food.

    November goals:
    1.I will recommit to tracking.
2.I will walk whenever I can.
    3.Limit the intake of carbohydrates.
    4.Drink more water

I read motivational quotes to stay motivated. Whenever I eat little at dinner, next morning I feel better and I continue choosing good things during the day.

    Weigh in week: Week 5
    Weigh in day: Wednesday
    Previous Week's Weight: (63.5kg) 140.0
    Todays Weight: (63.2kg) 139.3

After a week of 140.2, this morning it decides to drop a pound. I end the month weight wise where I started (which in maintenance is a good thing).

    Way to go Gutbusters.

Well done for leading the charge @LeslckaBod.

Looking at the months results so far we have quite a number of consistent performers doing really well. Anyone with more than 2% over 4 weeks is doing a great job. This includes:
    @bendiz_. @michellelagle. @Grebber1. @eevang. @WishfulThinning18. and @90kgtoNewMe.

Hope all have a great last week in October.

What do you tell yourself to stay motivated when you're going through one of these difficult stretches?

I've been at this a full year now, so I worry less about falling off the wagon even when I falter.

As I've faced challenges in my personal and professional lives and with my health, my focus has been on keeping my head above the proverbial water. At times, I was too busy or sick to track. I lost my streak. BUT I kept logging in, trying to catch up, and reading the forum. I did my weekly weigh ins. I kept being involved and always told myself that i would be 100% back once I could be.

I just never quit. That was it. I didn't do a defeated binge eating spiral. I made maintenance my goal when doing more was too hard and always estimated calories in my head (which is way easier after logging for 6+ months). I stayed kind to myself. I'm human. Life has been hard lately. I didn't need to bring myself down, so I remained proud of just being involved and trying to maintain.

And it's worked. At first I lost because I was sick. But last week I was taking steroids for my throat and turned into a hunger monster who wanted to eat 24/7 and this week was pretty normal, and I'm still losing.

    So just keep treading.

Happy with that considering the past weeks eating. But I've been good for the past 3 days and got rid of the water weight.

    Today's Weight: 144.5 pounds

Down 0.8 pounds since last week, however, this was weight I re-gained that I had to re-lose.
Once I lose 0.4 pounds then I will be back to my September 26th weight.

Wife still losing weight. :) Weekly weigh in was not as low as expected, but still trending in the right direction. She has her appointment with the diabetes specialist next week. We find out if her HbA1c is in the normal range of between 4% and 5.6% (pretty sure it will be).

Man I'm so close. 20 more pounds and I'll be under 300. Being over 300 is so deflating. It's gonna happen this year. I have to believe I'm getting to the point where I won't see major pounds coming off every week like this week. But if I can do one last hard push, I think I can get under 300 before the Nov challenge is over.
I'm getting a ton of compliments even from a lot of guys. And as a guy I understand that that does not happen very often. We usually just don't talk about things like that. I know I've lost a bunch I feel a lot better and I can even see the difference but when I do look in the mirror with most my clothes off it's a sad sad sight. I still have a lot of work to do and I am not discouraged about the way I look because it will get better. it's just kind of mind-boggling that I let myself get so bad that losing 100 pounds wasn't as major as I thought as far as how my body really looks.
Once I get under 300 I should have my workout room cleaned out enough to where I can start lifting again and hopefully start shaping my body so I don't look like a pear anymore LOL

Exercised?: Yes (5km walk in 38 mins - hills).
    Calories?: Yes
    Tracked?: Yes

    Work from home again today.

Walk after dinner. Still light at 8:00pm. Daylight savings is a bonus for that.

Drone race tomorrow. Last of the Winter season. Have a chance to win my division for the season if I fly well. Wish me luck.

Also repaired my 2 non-working drones last night. One had an electrical fault (delicate soldering to swap components to fix). The other hit concrete on Tuesday night at about 80kmh (50 mph) and only damage was battery strap (expendable) and battery (now awaiting recycling). A video cable came loose, but that was easy to re-solder. Both test flown today and work fine.

One thing I forgot to mention yesterday is that my wife, for the first time in her adult life, is now under 200 lbs.
