Our teachers in Oklahoma just got done striking. Thank goodness as my kids minds were turning to mush, because they automatically tune mommy out when it comes to teaching them a damn thing. Good luck with the strike.

7/14/17: 198.8 lbs (after spending a week at Disney Parks in Florida and IF went out the window)
    7/21/17: 199 lbs
7/28/17: From 7/28 until 9/1 I did sporadic intermittent fasting, but wasn't very focused. My weight stayed around 198-197.
    8/4/17: 198

    9/8/17: 195
    9/15/17: 195

Sept, Oct, Nov, Dec- very casual and sporadic fasting during the school day. Usually I would sip coffee with vanilla creamer between the hours of 6:30am-11:00am and have lunch at 11 with dinner around 5. Weight slowly crept from 195 to 202 lbs.

New year and fresh motivation to lose weight.
    Weigh-ins for 2018:

1/14/18: 200.2 lbs and pretty much living in workout pants as my jeans feel tight and my stomach bloated. New resolve to practice fasting.

Weekly Weigh-in day is first thing in the morning on Fridays:
    1/14/18 200.2 lbs
    1/19/18 197.8 lbs  (-2.4)
    1/25/18 198.0 lbs (+0.2)
    2/2/18 196.4 lbs yay! (-1.6)

    2/9/18 196.4 lbs (+0)
2/16/18 196.4 lbs (+0) Had a busy week with unusual events. Used this as an excuse to snack throughout the day. Some stress snacking on junk food too.

    2/23/18 Didn't weigh in.
    3/2/18 199.9 lbs

    4/6/18 198.8 lbs
    4/13/18 198.6 lbs
4/20/18 205.0 lbs and then 202.0 lbs (I think I need to replace the battery on my scale) I didn't fast at all this week. I used my mouth injury as an excuse to eat 3 meals per day that were all craptastic quality. Moving on...

    4/27/18 202 lbs (did 2 16:8 fasts this week)

Well....the teacher strike in Arizona is underway. It is actually being called a "walk-out" because it is illegal for public employees to strike. I have just been staying home with my child who cannot go to school...

I also managed to fast for 16 hours two days in a row, which brought me down about 2 1/2 pounds. Yay!

So....I purchased a new scale and it registers me as 5 pounds heavier than my previous scale. I'm a little bummed the new scale shows the heavier weight, however, I think I may now be getting a more accurate reading.

My eating habit/routine has been as follows:

During the week coffee with vanilla creamer as breakfast, fast food at 11am for lunch, and then a regular home cooked meal around 5:30. Ice cream around 6:30pm and then no food after 7pm until I have my coffee with creamer the next morning.

Something I've experienced a couple of times recently is reactive hypoglycemia. The 2 times it's happened in the past month or so has been when I have had food that is sugary (like a donut) and nothing else...and then about 4 hours later I had what I describe as a sugar crash. I got cold, sweaty, shaky and this made me panic. It stopped when I ate food with sugar.

I have only experienced this a few times in my life. When I was younger (and thin and in shape) I discovered I would experience this when I would eat sugary cereal for breakfast, so I have avoided cereal for most of my life. Clearly, the answer is don't consume a sugary breakfast but it is scary and I'm afraid of it happening again!

    Has anyone ever experienced this?

Sometimes I will get those symptoms but it's always right after and not 4 hours later. But if I also eat protein with something sugary I'm fine. Have you ever talked to a doctor about this?

Are any of your days OMAD? If not you should give it a try <3

I agree with Brenda -- maybe check in with your doc. I have never experienced that, but I would definitely want to know what was going on.

Did a 16 hour fast for the first time in weeks. I was a little hungry, but I did it! As of today I am on summer vacation until August 2nd. This is a total of 62 days when I will not be working. I find it much easier to fast when I am on break as I am much more relaxed. The goal is to practice a 16:8 schedule and then add in omad days once my body has adjusted.

    From my blog:

    62 days of summer vacation

I will be on summer break from June 1st to August 2nd. The plan is to practice a 16:8 fast and feed with the exception of my birthday and the week that I am on vacation in Florida. If I am able to do an omad day in here somewhere, that will be a bonus. No food is off limits. The biggest obstacle will be not drinking coffee with cream and sugar in the morning. I've tried to drink black coffee and I just can't do it. It's just gross. With being off of work, I believe I can handle going without coffee in the morning. Weigh-in days are Friday mornings.

16:8 fast started again on 6/1/18

6/1/18: 206 lbs- first day without coffee in the morning. Massive headache, ended up taking 2 ibuprofen with lunch. Headache has dulled, but is not gone. Not giving in though!

    6/8/18

    6/15/18

    6/22/18

    6/29/18

    7/6/18

    7/13/18

7/20/18: No fasting this week. I will be on vacation and my birthday is on the 20th.

August, September, October 2018: The new school year started out stressful and resulted in some stress induced weight loss. Now that it is November, I am starting to get into a state of flow and feel ready to tackle intermittent fasting and weight loss again.

My weekly weigh-in will still be documented on Fridays, however, it will now be a 7 day average calculation of my daily weight.
