ArizonaToast- Did you fast until 11:00am today?

So....I purchased a new scale and it registers me as 5 pounds heavier than my previous scale. I'm a little bummed the new scale shows the heavier weight, however, I think I may now be getting a more accurate reading.
My eating habit/routine has been as follows:
During the week coffee with vanilla creamer as breakfast, fast food at 11am for lunch, and then a regular home cooked meal around 5:30. Ice cream around 6:30pm and then no food after 7pm until I have my coffee with creamer the next morning.
Something I've experienced a couple of times recently is reactive hypoglycemia. The 2 times it's happened in the past month or so has been when I have had food that is sugary (like a donut) and nothing else...and then about 4 hours later I had what I describe as a sugar crash. I got cold, sweaty, shaky and this made me panic. It stopped when I ate food with sugar.
I have only experienced this a few times in my life. When I was younger (and thin and in shape) I discovered I would experience this when I would eat sugary cereal for breakfast, so I have avoided cereal for most of my life. Clearly, the answer is don't consume a sugary breakfast but it is scary and I'm afraid of it happening again!
Has anyone ever experienced this?0 -
Sometimes I will get those symptoms but it's always right after and not 4 hours later. But if I also eat protein with something sugary I'm fine. Have you ever talked to a doctor about this?
Are any of your days OMAD? If not you should give it a try0 -
I agree with Brenda -- maybe check in with your doc. I have never experienced that, but I would definitely want to know what was going on.0

Did a 16 hour fast for the first time in weeks. I was a little hungry, but I did it! As of today I am on summer vacation until August 2nd. This is a total of 62 days when I will not be working. I find it much easier to fast when I am on break as I am much more relaxed. The goal is to practice a 16:8 schedule and then add in omad days once my body has adjusted.0

From my blog:
62 days of summer vacation
I will be on summer break from June 1st to August 2nd. The plan is to practice a 16:8 fast and feed with the exception of my birthday and the week that I am on vacation in Florida. If I am able to do an omad day in here somewhere, that will be a bonus. No food is off limits. The biggest obstacle will be not drinking coffee with cream and sugar in the morning. I've tried to drink black coffee and I just can't do it. It's just gross. With being off of work, I believe I can handle going without coffee in the morning. Weigh-in days are Friday mornings.
16:8 fast started again on 6/1/18
6/1/18: 206 lbs- first day without coffee in the morning. Massive headache, ended up taking 2 ibuprofen with lunch. Headache has dulled, but is not gone. Not giving in though!
6/8/18
6/15/18
6/22/18
6/29/18
7/6/18
7/13/18
7/20/18: No fasting this week. I will be on vacation and my birthday is on the 20th.

August, September, October 2018: The new school year started out stressful and resulted in some stress induced weight loss. Now that it is November, I am starting to get into a state of flow and feel ready to tackle intermittent fasting and weight loss again.
My weekly weigh-in will still be documented on Fridays, however, it will now be a 7 day average calculation of my daily weight.

I did pretty good sticking to my plan the last 2 weeks. I entered my daily weight, hours fasted (on some of the days), and other notes into a spreadsheet. I also calculated a 7 day average of my daily weight to use a reference for weight lost. 2.4 lbs is a good loss! My current plan is pretty close to 16:8. I do allow myself coffee with cream during my fasting window. Fasting Police--I don't want to hear anything about cream in my coffee. I'm fine with being a C+ student at fasting.
The rows highlighted in green mean that I stuck to my plan without any big issues. The rows highlighted in orange mean that something happened that day to either make me eat emotionally or go off my plan. It means there is data that I want to note to help myself notice trends that take me off plan.
