Thanks, Dave, She is fine with it now, but it takes a while for them to heal up physically and then the emotional healing is another thing.....they really push some buttons trying to make sure they are tough enough.. Hers was due to hip damage from a fall from running while wearing the ill fitting boots and the 30 or more pounds of equipment.

@kar328 - I’m so lucky. The Lakes are just over an hours drive from me and if I go to the coast (2 miles away) I can see the hills across the bay.
@clepant - excellent news from the colonoscopy
*hugs* all round - there’s some stuff being dealt with here.
I tried to research the name Durnal Gub. It possibly from an ancient Celtic language and Durnal could be about darkness ...

    Updated to here!

@Dean - It’s possible he could try a different branch of service, but for now we’re going to get him home and healed up and let him figure out what he wants to do.

    15th: 2.97 miles, speed training - MTD 33.87
    16th: 0 miles - MTD
    17th: 9 miles, 3.1 m Parkrun, 5.9 m run home from parkrun - MTD 43.87

:s - still mis-read my plan, the maximum running I can get get in (and taper) is 25 miles. I’ll have to expand the remit to include some walking/swimming miles/yards. This is what happens when you work off overlapping screen shots.

Good Saturday morning everybody! Except for not sleeping much I am on the mend. Came to the city to see my dr & got a vitamin infusion yesterday(along with my husband doing trucker stuff). I was actually able to do some shopping even! Had to use a cart to push my stuff instead of carrying the few packages. Just to weak yet. Joints are still sore with knees feeling weak & in the morning my knuckles & hands are swollen that I can hardly bend them. I'm hoping this is from antibiotic & will be gone when it is. Have a headache now but yesterday I was free of one till evening & its been here every since. I have accumulated 1 mile walking (which I'll have to put on my ticker) from walking my dogs. It was while beautiful snow was coming down! It felt awesome! I'm hoping Monday to get on the bike & peddle but I will take miles if I can't make it! I thank you all for the get well wishes & your offerings!!

I hope everyone dealing with health issues start to feel better and those that are okay stay that way.

    Adding 10.54 miles.

I see the foot doc the 26th. My foot is not completely healed, so I'm betting she'll keep me off it another 2-4 weeks. I'm totally bummed.

Hope everyone has a good weekend.

My surgery is coming up in a couple days. My friends offered to put my Thanksgiving dinner in a blender. I'm not sure if I want the entire meal in one blend job :):):)
