Yes, please don't give up! It's only a pound....and we know how easy it is for the body to retain 16 ounces of water, for example.2 -
Friday weigh in.
December week 3
Last weeks weight: 242.9
Todays weight: 240.9
Been a crazy week, the pressures been on a bit....school breakups/ prizegivings/jobs needing doing on the farm and hay needing mowing and baling but the weather has been horrendous so stuff keeps getting delayed, its very cold and wet for the first week of summer! Hard to believe that this time last year a drought had already been declared.
I did not feel confident of a loss this week, I am unsure why - I just didn't feel it lol. So was a nice surprise :-)
Usually when I get to December all the pre Xmas work /farm supplier dinners/drinks etc I think agh bugger it I'll get back on track after New Years....and that just does not happen..... I am determined to keep on track as much as i can right up to christmas when i will relax a little with the family for a few days, then I will challenge myself to get back into gear instead of the usual "next week". Anyway enough from me
😆 Have a good weekend.4 -

By all means, keep talking! You had some good stuff going on there!! Two pounds gone, when you felt unsure of any loss, is so awesome!!0 -
Regardless of you plan to maintain this month or lose, just keep the course and strive to do your best. Work to be better not perfect and plan to not throw away your month just because a few outtings might be planned, not to mention Christmas eve and day.

I know there are gonna be holiday parties and events every week and I am just gonna have to work harder on the days off to lose.
I thought I would assemble some nuggets of wisdom from the team, as we all need to start to think about all the pitfalls this month has to offer, and how we plan to negotiate them. I would challenge all of you to let us know ahead of any calorie laden event, how you plan to handle it. Then afterwards, if you were successful, and if not, why not. We can all learn from each others' successes and shortfalls.

I joined this group in November and started at 135.0. I had a very successful first week in November and now it's really going the wrong way. I need to focus on eating right - healthy, low calories foods that make me feel full! I don't want to get back to my starting point.4 -

Oh, final exams. You actually lost weight studying for exams....that deserves a gold star!! When I am feeling overwhelmed about something, I will have school dreams where I am showing up to an exam and I haven't been to any classes!!1 -

If you're okay, then we're okay. It is definitely better than gaining!! So, what has got to change in your life for you to not be okay with a maintain?[/quote]
I am having some medical problems and all the testing and "food elimination" is playing havoc with my already tired body. That is why I'm okay with the maintain.
I got through last years crummy winter so I know I will get through this one to.3 -

MINI CHALLENGE
DATE: Thursday, December 6, 2018
Logged food: Yes
Under calories: Yes

Only a light headache for half a day today. Feel like I can push myself a little more, maybe do some body weight exercises along with the walk. Who knows, by next week I may be back to bad *kitten* training2 -
WEIGH IN
Username: mikea2g
Starting weight on 7/25/2018: 309
September start weight: 290
October start weight: 279
November start weight: 264.7
December start weight: 254.8
-————————————-
Previous Week's weight: 254.8
Today's Weight: 252.4
Spent most of the week in bed, doing minimal life requirements due to bad headache. My plan for these situations is the same general plan I’ve had coming in to losing weight this time around. Focus on food first. Seems if I keep under calories, wether I exercise or not, I’ll lose some weight and stay on track. Which beats the hell out of short bursts of perfection followed by long months of no effort at all. Now that I’m coming out of the other side of this headache, I’m really glad I stayed the course on food. I feel like I’m in a better place than I would have been (physically and mentally) had I just full on quit while this was happening.
Side note: down 56.6 pounds. This means 3.4 pounds until I’ve met the first goal of December, losing a whales penis, and 6.4 pounds away from being officially overweight (BMI)4 -
