Hello lovely ladies! Hope you all had fabulous Christmas and New Years celebrations!
After a roughly 3-4 month absence I am back. Heavier, but also more determined to get healthier as I'm not in the best place and have decided that being kind to myself and my body is the best first step towards improvement.
I intend to start C25K again in the hope that my foot holds out, and am aiming to go to the gym 3 times a week, like I used to.

I gained 6lbs over my lowest weight in August. Which is better than I expected. We moved cross country and to add to the stress of moving, we’ve been having issue after issue with our rental house and my oldest son had a very hard time with the move emotionally. I’m still not even close to being unpacked, and the house is still not fixed, but my son is improving and so is my morale. I’m going to set a reasonable goal of a 3lb loss by the end of the month, but really hope I can achieve 4. Here’s to shaping up!

January Goal: Complete 4 weeks of Couch 2 5K. Weight loss will be consequential hopefully, but not the priority. Let's shoot for 133.
1/2/18: 135.6
Gained back 2 lbs of the 20 I lost last year. So not too bad overall. Probably would have been none if I worked out over the holidays. Did my first day of couch 2 5k Monday, and it went easier then expected. But I was more sore then expected yesterday, lol.6 -
Hi ladies I’m back too. I’ve been struggling for months, and have gained 7kgs since last Christmas (2017, not the one just gone )

My goal this month is 1.5kg loss.
I’m hoping that my head is in the right place now, I’ve been pretty down recently.
Good luck everyone4 -
Hello All!
I’ve been on and off MFP for a few years and have effectively gained weight year on year (coinciding with my moving to USA).
I try to eat healthy but travel a lot and have gained 30lbs (13.6 kg).
I need the crutch of accountability to help me lose weight and keep to the MFP targets
Starting weight: 171 lbs (77.5 kgs)
Goal weight: 141 lbs (64 kgs)
Height: 5’7.5” (1.715 m)
Goal is to lose 4lbs (1.8kgs) per month

Hello Ladies:
I'm new to this group and am hoping that it will help keep me accountable.
Last year I managed to lose 15 lbs but over the Christmas holidays gained 3 lbs back. I'm looking to get stronger, lean and I want to run 5k this year.
Height: 5'3"

Ultimate Goal: 125 lbs

3lbs is not too bad. I gained 4-5lbs
Welcome everyone!1 -
So, December was a rough month for me in nearly all the major areas of life (with the exception of my health) - but, job news, housing news, relationship - ya, that all pretty much sucked.
This led to a low-level depression for the last half of the month and through the holidays, but there's a light at the end and coming through the other side. The not-bad part of all this was it made sticking to my weight loss goals REALLY easy LOL.
So, starting off the new year where I had *hoped* I would, and ready to keep this ball rolling!

I was without a scale for 6 months, mostly due to my own laziness 😂, and I found out I gained 15 lbs 😭. I started calorie counting 25 days ago and have lost 2 lbs.

I'm sorry, that sounds like a pretty *kitten* situation. I hope things are on the up again on all fronts.

Happy New Year everyone, I’m back in too. Dropped under my original goal weight of 125 around Thanksgiving but some of that was due to stress. Now I’m at the high end of my maintenance range and feeling fluffy. Time to manage maintenance better.

Sorry you are dealing with all this. I feel you on the irony, hitting goals while every area of life is under stress. Hugs and hoping everything works out ok.1 -

This time last year I was 165 lbs, out of shape, had no upper body strength, never had been to a gym, and my clothes were getting tight. While I've gain a few lbs back from my lowest in 2018, I now go to the gym 5 times a week, can bench press more than I ever thought possible for me, and I'm almost too small for my normal belt. 2018 was a good year and while I didn't accomplish everything I wanted, I am headed in the right direction. Here's to 2019 and everyone working on their goals!!5 -

I'd like to be down 7lb by the end of January, but I'm mainly choosing that goal because some of my SW is artificial gain because of the holidays. After I lose that and even out a bit, I'll be happy with a steady 0.5-1lb loss a week until I get to my goal.3 -

Hello shark week. That was a bit earlier than expected. Hoping it will mean that some of my weight gain was in fact hormonal water weight and this month's goal will be a doddle..
In other news, re-starting C25K will have to wait until Feb at least. I stubbed my 4th toe really hard just before Christmas and that caused it to click when I walked. That only lasted 1-2 days because I barely moved over Christmas, so I'm guessing the rest did it some good. Cue retuning to work this week and walking a fair bit more (desk job but I walk to work and go for lunchtime walks, even if just home), and the clicking has come back with a vengeance. Had it checked out and they reckon it's a torn ligament. Not painful, but the clicking sensation makes my skin crawl, it's unpleasant. No running until it's healed, so weight training at the gym it is!
@vla246 That does sound like some lovely hormonal water weight. The joys of being a woman...3 -

Hello ladies:
I am new to the group and MFP in general, and I'm happy to find a group of people in the same boat as me. I typically hover right around 140#s, but since October 2018 I've been up to 150#s (my husband and I go big for Halloween, and it was all downhill from there). I'm working on weight loss with my husband, but morale tends to drop pretty fast when he looses 5#s and I only lose 1. Glad to have some ladies here for motivation and support.

Hi, I just joined the group, and am new to using MFP with any devotion. I am 36 and mom to two young kids. My goal is to get back down to 130-135, which was the weight I was at my fittest about four years ago. I have restarted weight training after a nine month hiatus. And I have restarted my yoga practice. My goal for January is consistancy in my exercise and eating and stop treating both of those things like a temporary state I need to only maintain until I look and feel healthy.

So just decided to lose a bit more... I was maintaining between 105 and 115 but thought I might want to be a little leaner before my first marathon in May, so aiming for 100 by May. Aiming for 110 by end of January.

And also to keep up with my running. January is not the most motivating month to run during. Oh, and no more health problems. No more iritis, strep throat, hypothermia or any of these other pesky nuisances. Biggest goal.4 -
Hi Everyone. I'm looking for a fresh start after a pretty up and down 2018. I just got back from a week in the Mayan Riviera where I really noticed the extra 15#s I'm carrying. I think some accountability is exactly what I need.

Hello All - new to this group, but glad to find it. I don't post on in other places because I don't have ALL that much weight to lose and I feel like I am annoying folks. Hope everyone is off to a great 2019 so far - I'm looking forward to making some changes - in lots of ways.4 -
I almost feel like crying!!!! I am not the only one in the world!!! for the longest time I have been only seeing forums and articles where people complain about losing only 10lbs in a month - I have been trying to lose 10lbs in a year!! thank you ladies for creating this group! thank you!
I am 5ft 7.5'' and 152lbs (maybe 153today). My goal is 130s.
Today will be 7 weeks since I started keto and it has been a bumpu ride - lost, stalled, lost, gained, stalled, gained... all in all, 7 weeks ago I was 160 so I am happy.
I do all sorts of physical activity - walking, running, focus t25, gym but decreased dramatically since couple of weeks ago. I was just having too strong appetite.
I am struggling a lot to stay within my caloric goal. Anyone else here having the same issue? Or an advice?
Good luck to you all!!!

Hello, I just joined this group, and want to hold myself accountable. 2 years ago I weighed 180 pounds. I lost 45 pounds and got to my goal weight of 135 one year ago. However, over this past year I slowly gained back 18 pounds. It was easy to ignore it because people kept telling me how great I looked. But I need to get back to my goal weight. I appreciate all your encouragement!

Hi everyone! I'm new to this group and am hoping that it will help keep me accountable. Last year was a complete physical & mental rollercoaster for me-lost 20 pounds the first few months of the year, gained it all back after I quit smoking in October. On top of that, all sorts of life changes happened, including becoming an empty-nester of sorts (my younger kids moved to their dad's across the country), downsizing everything in my life to accommodate, and becoming a grandmother. My new mantra for 2019 is Physical, Mental, and Financial Health, and I made a list of goals (I refuse to call them resolutions) for the coming year:
HEALTH GOALS
• Target weight 140 pounds
○ Keto January -June
• Maintain average 140 to end of year
• Run more races
○ Hogwarts Running Club virtual races
○ Zombies, Run! virtual races
○ WISH-2019 Rock & Roll Half Marathon in San Antonio OR
○ WISH-runDisney 2019 Wine & Dine Half Marathon Rock & Roll Half Marathon
• Get back into Hockey
○ WISH-Chaparral Ice hockey skating classes starting in July
○ WISH-Beer league spring 2020
• Get teeth fixed
• Stay healthy
FINANCIAL GOALS
• NO MORE PAYDAY OR INSTALLMENT LOANS!
• Pay off Xterra
• Save at least $500 (Stash)
• Be in a stress-free place when paying bills (less living paycheck to paycheck)
FUN GOALS
• Travel all of Route 66 by car
• Find a classic muscle car to rebuild
○ WISH-1966-1969 Chevy Impala
• Go to a Supernatural Convention
• Go to at least 1 Comic Con in 2019
Height: 5 feet, 2 1/2 inches
Jan 1 weight: 160
Jan 7 weight: 156
In ketosis since Jan 2
On Week 2 in C25K training
Any moral support or advice would be greatly welcome!
