@MaelynMayhem ~ Maelyn, your grandma is lucky to have you. Another great day for you.

I dread weigh in tomorrow. O did great all day, then tonight said forget it... I'm going to have a gain anyway. And ate. I should've gotten on here earlier and/or printed the new motto!!!
    Ugh!!!
    Tomorrow is a new day!

    Daily Post - Saturday (4/27 - pre-challenge)

    Track:yes
    Calories: Limit: 1500/Actual: 1432
    Water: 32 cups
Exercise: Zombies, Run! version C25K, Week 4, Day 3; I walked to and from the gym
Day: It was an okay day. I learned some frustrating things going on in my grandmother's life. My grandmother is on oxygen, which is flammable and her roommate is smoking in the room. There is the possibility that me or an aide could forget to turn off the big tank once returning her to her room, which means it would just pump oxygen into the room. So, then the next time her roommate would light up she would really be lighting up. Other than that, I completed week 4 and am halfway through the C25K program. My Internet has been more stable today. No afternoon walk as it's an hour and a half bus ride out to see my grandmother.

That's horrible. I hope you can get her into a better situation. No one deserves to have to breathe bad air when they are sick!

Ok. It's Sunday where I am so I'm posting. Most of you are probably still asleep. I have bronchitis and feel terrible. I got on the scales and gained weight! I am attributing it to fluid in my lungs etc, since I have eaten next to nothing in the last few days. Anyway, hopefully, next Sunday there will be a huge drop.

What is the easiest way to access this group chat through the MFP app? I have done it differently each time and it seems I may be taking the long way around.

    Thanks,

Hi yah! This will be my 3rd month in this challenge. Definitely holds me accountable. Definitely thankful to you all and the admins! I have maintained at the same weight for 3 wks now- but that wasn’t the plan! I hope I can get it moving down soon!
I have a lot on the go (like everyone)- lots of stress and not too much time for myself so I’m trying to find a practical balance for me. I joined a gym in April and even though I’m not a gym rat I’ve really been pushing myself to go and pushing my comfort zone- which is great!
Good luck to my group! Please feel free to add me and connect any time!! Cheers!!

@MaelynMayhem~ You have been so consistent. “Weigh” to start out the month!!
@jupdyke~ Jen, using the MFP I have to go my home page, then scroll down to Community; from there if you have it starred you can click on the star to bring up your favorites. I find that when the activity on the threads are high, my wi-fi takes FOR.EVER to bring it up. Hope that helps.
@rawrxamberx ~ that’s amazing! Too fun-funny. Yeah…. You’re down there alright! We’re probably 4.5- 5 hours apart, depending on how much water I drink when I drive. LOL

For all who want to see how Michiganders can use their hands as maps, see the attached photo. LOL It’s hilarious!!

@LuluLovinLife~ Maintaining may not have been the plan, but that is pretty darn good! I know blah blah blah, staying the same if better than a gain.. Blah blah blah. :) It’s hard to balance or juggle all that we have to do; but seriously, maintaining is hard, too. It is for me anyway. Hope they gym pays off for you in May. Let’s do this!

I'll post my daily challenge results in the morning. If I post too soon, then it's harder for me to mentally stay on track. Weird, huh!? Oh my mind... my RUNTRACKMIND! LOL

    Daily Post - Sunday (4/28)

    Track: yes
    Calories: under, Limit: 1500/1430
    Water: 34 cups
Exercise: Rest Day (Just as important as training days, first in awhile)
Day: Well, our fire alarm in the building isn't working. A guy was cooking chicken, then decided to get in his car and go somewhere leaving it cooking. It burned and caught on fire. I was all up in my apartment chilling while there was a fire two floors below me. So instead of getting me and my cat out of the building I got ready for church. I walked out the front doors to firefighters, four firetrucks, two fire rescue vehicles and one fire marshal vehicle. I didn't go to church in case I needed to tell someone that my cat was alone on the fourth floor. Eventually they cleared the smoke on the 2nd and third floors, verified the building was safe and released us to go back in. But yeah, no alarm. BUT my alarm works, it went off when I opened the oven to take my meat out to flip it over, and then again when it was done, most likely due to the heat as there was no smoke. I have just kind of relaxed today, best I can, watched some TV, cuddled with Alex, and enjoyed my treat of chocolate.
I also realized why I basically apologize for low weight loss numbers instead of being proud of my weight-loss. I am still seeing myself as that 340 lb woman where that number percentage wise is so minimal, and therefore, I don't see it as really adding. But I'm not that size. I have LOST over 70 pounds, and if you go back to Christmas it's over 80. It was like my body was saying YES, FINALLY! It's time! Let's get this done! And it's been good. The weight has come off. I've made radical changes to my diet and behavior. I increased my exercise as my body allowed. I pushed the limits to make it stronger, and it responded. I am stronger, my body is stronger. I just seem to keep getting hung up on old images.

Daily Post (Sunday 4/28 - Just for ME Today!
    Track: Yes!
    Calories: 1600 / 1185
Exercise: 90 minutes of raking, bending, picking up sticks; and a very short walk.
    8+ water: 9+
    Daily Goals:
    • Morning Affirmations
    • Plan / pre-log food
    • Exercise 30-60 minutes/day
    • Night Routine:
      ~Change clothes & Attitude
      ~Wash face / Brush Hair
      ~Hot tea
~One snack after dinner - NO snacks. Yeah!
      ~Brush teeth, Gum, “Kitchen Closed!”

Great day!! Back on track. I’ve decided to eat as close to 1200 calories on my strong-minded and normal life days. And allow for 2 (or 3 days) per week of the 1600 calories, This might help me with my binges. If I can get used to eating a little less then when I need more it’s not overboard. BUT! The key to me learning about me is tracking and journaling. I want this to be a lifestyle change, that will let me reach my ultimate goal and maintain it.

@rawrxamberx~ Amber, Great first day of the challenge. Working at a fast food place is positive for moving around, I’m sure! And would be super hard for me to make healthy, mindful choices--- but YOU DID IT! Wonderful!

@MaelynMayhem ~ Maelyn, good for you taking a rest. You are so right. Oh my goodness!! How scary that fire must have been, especially since Alex was still upstairs. I’m all nervous just reading this. Glad everyone is okay. Hope they get that all fixed soon.
Thanks for sharing how one can get hung up on the old self. YOU ARE doing great. Do you read or say any affirmations to help build up your self-esteem?

@jupdyke~ Jen, a great start to the challenge. You did it all!! And I know that part of that was weighing only weekly.

I’m glad you are all on @RunTrackMinds. The breakdown of our team “motto” has the three elements of what it takes to be successful at weight-loss and keeping it off. Those elements are:
    Run -keep moving
    Track -know what you’re eating
Mind -train your brain to be positive and okay with change.

“Move over old self, there’s a new me in town!! And this new me is in charge!”
