Spent all day yesterday moving things around and putting a crib together. This baby is going to take up a lot of space, lol. I planned on doing outside work today but after I got home from Zumba it started raining. So I'll finish doing more things inside the house. I'm trying to get motivated right now. I think I might paint trim today but I could change my mind because I hate painting.4

Saturday Check In
Food- Logged & on target
Water 1 l
Exercise- 10960 steps including 35 minute power walk.
I am continuing to stay on plan this weekend. It really helps having my own kitchen. My MIL is a lifelong food pusher, so it has been really helpful to be in control of my meals in our own place.
@CassieGetsFit2013 - Welcome back & sending some healing vibes your way.
@cyndiesstuff - love the photos of your supper! Looks delicious! And yes, I find the endorphins from running so helpful! For whatever reason, it just works for me.1 -

Not a bad day yesterday but not good either. Snacked too much, had no plan, but I didn't overeat. I was very conscious about how much I was eating. I was thinking this morning what I could have done differently. I needed to plan. It is all planning for me. Instead of snacking with everyone, I should have had my wrap which I actually like more than what I was snacking on. If I decided I wanted to snack, I need to plan some healthier options and also plan how much. I am happy I ate to satisfied and didn't over eat but it still would have been better if I had planned. I did get my water in but barely. I also really hate not walking. Today I am going to ride my bike to the bike shop and walk back. Probably a 10 min bike ride and a 20 min walk. It needs to get some maintenance work done. Then I will most likely finish cleaning here and head back home. Our guests are getting ready to go. My daughter and husband are hanging a bit. I am glad that I have gotten my kids, most of their friends and my nieces and nephews into the habit of changing their sheets and cleaning their rooms before they go. They also throw a load of towels in too. I was doing it all myself the first year and it was a lot of work. No news on the neighbor front. My husband was getting texts too and got an apology the next day. He blamed it on drinking. I didn't hear from him again. Even though he was drinking, I am thinking his real feelings were coming out. Oh well...hopefully it won't be too awkward. It will be an interesting Memorial day....Ok...Time to get moving. It is already almost 2pm. Have a nice Sunday everyone!
@cyndiesstuff What an awesome day yesterday! You have really turned things around. Today will be great too, one day at a time. And your right, sounds like you found a good guy! Can you believe you will be a married woman this time next month? As far as the donuts, I didn't care at the moment. I also didn't have dinner because I wanted to run to the store quick before my guests showed up. I have been thinking about it. I should have eaten when I was in Pa and I would have been done for the day. I also think I wouldn't have been starving and grabbed for the donuts. I do have a big problem with sugar and flour. I do try to avoid them as much as possible.
@Mrsbell8well Sounds like you had such a nice time with your family! Today sounds lovely too! Enjoy! Happy Birthday to Molly!!
@Julie8468 Nice loss! They tally the totals Sunday morning so I wanted to be sure you were included in the weigh in I hope someone can repair the dishwasher early in the week! I remember those days with the kiddos using so many cups! Ugh! Good luck!
@carlsoda Great job! It actually can be fun to go to events when you don't have to be struggling with the food. Sounds like you have a fun day planned today. Enjoy!!
@CassieGetsFit2013 Welcome back!! You had asked to be put on the cheer squad after last weigh in but you still weighed in. You lost .8lbs this past week with all that was going on. I can have you moved back from the cheer squad or you can wait until June. It is up to you. Sounds like you are doing better but still have some work to do. It also sounds like you have a supportive group around you. Hang in there and keep fighting for yourself. You can do it!!
@twyla77 I was wondering where you went off to! Sorry about your computer! I stink at backing things up myself. I need to learn from your lesson too! Hopefully it won't be as bad as you think on Tuesday. Nothing you can do from Montana so just try to enjoy! Sorry about your tooth too. Ugh! Be careful with that. Hope you can enjoy the last few days of your trip. Thanks for checking in. Hugs!
@ljdanny You are planning to use your office space in your house for the nursery right? Do you have that all set or still trying to figure it all out. You must be getting excited. Good luck with whatever you end up doing today!
@Cafelelia Sounds like you are doing great! Keep it up!3 -
Hope everyone had a great weekend! I made time to go on a short run today, had plenty of water, and ate fairly well.
Also got a new dress for our anniversary dinner Wednesday. Y'all, it's been soooooooo loooooooong since I could try on clothes and actually feel like I look good. This time I chose the dress I liked best instead of the one that hid my fat the most.

@Phoebe1124760 -
Happy Sunday everyone. I’m still on vacation and I’m actually standing outside an ice cream parlor while my friend gets ice cream for his birthday. I’ve still gone since November giving up sweets. My water intake is still up and I’m constantly working on portion control. One small change at a time seems to be what works for me. I actually don’t miss the sweets - which is totally amazing for me since I used to be a sweets junkie!!
Let’s have a great week 😀5 -

Spent the morning cleaning bathrooms after my run. The afternoon Molly and I went to thrift store. She had valentines and birthday money. She bought lots of new clothes. I got some things I was happy with too. Including a pair of old navy linen pants X-small. I think they were meant to fit baggy but they fit me just right.
I ended up with an afternoon headache that lasted all night. Better today. I think it might have been from running in the heat. I miss taking ibuprofen. Used ice packs behind my head and peppermint oil. And drank lots of water. Still medicine free since October 15th.
Molly broke down last night missing her mom. Then she got upset that our life is too busy. She used to live alone for years before she met me. I know she loves our family and our life but the constant demands do take a toll. And it’s hard for me not to take it personally. Today begins romance focus. It feels like I’m trying to romance a porcupine. But I’m going to start by making blueberry pancakes for breakfast. 2 more days vacation. We need to finish rental yard work. But maybe we will sit outside and read all day instead.
Side note...my bathroom looks so much better without the scale. It feels more peaceful.
And lastly...we had our first spectacular watermelon of the season and I ate 2 corn on the cobs. Summer is flirting with us.5 -
@ljdanny your doing great! Glad your enjoying your vacation. Great job on sweets elimination and making gradual beneficial changes in your life.0

Blueberry pancakes did their magic. Everybody’s happy.
My daughter turned me on to this delicious herb tea coffee substitute.

I actually am still at the shore, it was just too nice to leave yesterday. I have too much to do at home so I got to get out of here early. I would like to get a half hour walk in with Daisy before I leave. I wish she could go on the beach but she can't . No dogs May-Oct. Last week wasn't the best with the bar opening so I must do better this week. I have my dinner plan for the week, I am going to go food shopping when I get home. I was also told I could start increasing my activity today slowly. Yesterday I guess I actually started. My hip feels ok but I have been good resting it, stretches, taking the ibuprofen every 8 hours and heat/ice(I did ice this weekend). Hopefully, the worst is behind me. I think a half an hour walk this am will be a good start. It is also cooler here than at home so it would be a good time to do it. I want to get my steps back to at least 10k . As far as my weekend at the shore, it wasn't the best. I a am not too concerned about the summer. When I am down here full time I will have my normal things down here. I have a plan but I am not going to be naive. I still need to make a better plan for when guests are here. It is the treats and snacks that I usually don't have around. Oh well, I need to get moving and get myself home. Hope you all have a great day!!
@lennoncpa What an awesome accomplishment! You haven't had sweets in half of a year! Little changes do make a big difference. Hope you are enjoying your vacation!!
@gottagetthisdown I hope everything is going well. I know you have been learning a lot with the nutritionist. It isn't easy, if you slipped, think of what you could do differently and get right back on track. You can do this and you have the tools to do it too. I have faith in you!
@Mrsbell8well Congrats on your personal best with the steps!! I don't know if it would help Molly but when my father died, I was told that I needed to take time to grieve. I thought I did but apparently I was getting back into my normal routine(I did have 5 younger children at the time) and trying not to think about him. I ended up ordering books and read and reflected on what I read every night. It took me almost a year to really want to be social and go out but the books helped a lot. I would tell you the titles but I leant them to a friend and never got them back. Maybe the social thing I experienced is what Molly is going through now too. I just couldn't face doing anything more than just getting through a normal day. I knew in my head that it was better that my dad died than survived. He had a bunch of strokes and would have been dependent on others for care. He couldn't even speak or walk. He couldn't swallow. He was 82 and lived independently until then. He was also pretty healthy except a battle with oral cancer the year before(never smoked). He lived a great life and it ended without him suffering too long but that doesn't make it any easier for us to accept they are gone. Hugs to Molly.

Sunday Check in:
Food - pretty good - I did have extra food after I closed my diary but I was hungry and I keep it low carb
Water - not quite enough
Exercise - 10,000+ steps
Overall not a bad weekend considering a bridal shower and lots of running around on Sunday. Most of my steps happened after watching BBC Antiques Roadshow last night - me and Lucy ran around the house. It's quite fun having a dog cat - gosh she acts like a dog and loves chasing balls and me!
Monday's goal - stay low carb and keep my heathy fats up. Yoga tonight plus 10,000+ steps.
If I start craving something I will listen to 10 minutes of meditation on my app before just mindlessly giving in.
Hope everyone has a great start to the week!!3 -
@sleepymom5 thanks for your input Pam. Molly is the kindest nicest person. It’s really hard for her to show her feelings. She loves to read so the books are a great idea. I will look in to that.1

Weekend check in
Food: not logged, assuming over
Water: tons
Sat over 10,000 steps; Sun a bit over 6000
Sushi dinner Saturday I ate slowly and mindfully. Funny it was really hard to eat sushi slowly. I think i slam it like a raw oyster afraid to actually taste it LOL. Sunday morning we went out for breakfast. I didn’t order as bad as I wanted... just an omelet, wheat toast and potatoes but oh how I love those potatoes. Ate half and pushed my plate away. The waitress kept asking if I was done and was I sure that was all I wanted. Geez! Had quite a thunderstorm last night and couldn’t sleep. I need to be careful with my food choices today being so tired. I’m retaining a bunch of water. Stepped on the scale this morning... shouldn’t have but I was curious. It was not good. Fly home tomorrow. Home for one day then driving to CA to see my friend who just got out of the hospital. So i have a good week and a half before i can return to my routine of eating. I may not be able to control what i eat or when but I can control how much.
Happy Monday everyone!4 -
@Mrsbell8well thanks for the congrats I really have been working hard on breaking the compulsive eating cycle. my friend is activity. but I know the work really begins in my head. oh my what a nice relaxing day and beautiful self care. reading in a lounge outside in the shade! trust the process with the scale. ohh and tell molly happy belated birthday!~ ohh I love zoodles too. with a little olive or sesame oil and lemon and garlic. mmmm I can eat those up!! love you too xo!! and here in Michigan it has been raining every day for over a month. the garden is to muddy to plant yet. but I have itchy fingers. this week I am going to plant my flowers. and it is really hard to romance a porcupine. maybe just set some time aside, to let her talk and vent. she has had a tough blow losing her mom.
@Julie8468 nice loss. dancing all around the office. phew. look how many calories I burn celebrating other's losses!!
@carlsoda yes! love a good escape plan. I love the work you putting into building the new you. looking good girl. you keep that up!!
@CassieGetsFit2013 omgosh, I am so glad your back. we have missed you. did you want to come back now or wait till june?
@twyla77 ughhh we are surely victims to technology. I hope you get your computer fixed soon. and no. tomorrow weigh in will be fine. which is today. lol and don't worry about getting that tooth fixed. easy peasy!! you got this. your a tough girl!
@ljdanny ohhh it is so fun creating room for baby. especially now that you know the gender! I hope you had an amazing time.
@Cafelelia ohhh hooo good job saying no to the food pusher. that is tough but your tougher!!
@sleepymom5 I was kinda the same way on sunday, as you seen I didn't have a food plan except for breakfast, so I didn't really over eat but didn't like my grazing either. thank goodness your guests clean up before they go. they should.
@GingerPwr ohhh girl! look at your in that beautiful dress! all I can say is, "BANG, BOOM, BAM". I don't know which is prettier, you or the dress.
@bmaison2014 maintains are good. how are you doing? what can you do this week to step it up one notch?

Great week for me. We went out with some friends on Friday and then a wedding on Saturday. Going on vacation on Thursday and hope to be careful about what I eat and drink. I have some weight goals for later this summer and I don't want to sabotage them now when I am finally making progress again. Our nephew is getting married in July and the day after is our 35th wedding anniversary. I hope to be down several pounds by then and then for Labor day we are traveling to see friends and want to a few more pounds by then too. Everything in moderation is what I keep telling myself.5 -
Hello all! Hope you had a good weekend! The weather was beautiful, finally starting to feel like summer is almost here. Today is going to be hot, we are going to hit close to 90.
After my weekend weigh-in, I am feeling ok. I am ready to get back on track! The scale was down a little this morning so I am feeling better. I have not worked out in almost 2 weeks which is a long time for me. I am going to workout tonight, I am going to do mt DVD and back to the gym tomorrow. Last week was just an off week for me, I am feeling motivated, especially with the warm weather.
I am going to make this a successful week! I hope you all find success as well!4 -
@cyndiesstuff thanks for your words of encouragement and the compliment! You are too sweet!0

Today's commitment: Today I will get my steps in. All of them. Even if I have to carry an umbrella to do it tonight.7

Just wanted to check in after not getting on here over the weekend. On Saturday I didn’t log my food, but I’m sure I was over calories (and under on steps). My daughter was sick, so I did a lot of sitting with her and didn’t worry too much about what I was eating. On Sunday, I knew I needed to log food and get right back on track and I did! My daughter is feeling much better today, just need to run out and get a prescription for her once it’s ready.
Today’s goals: Log food and be under calories, 10,000 steps. Keeping it simple!
Have a great Monday!
