I’m back! What did I miss? LOL How is everyone?
Back to back trips to opposite coasts was a bit much for this gal. I am very happy to be home!! When I arrived in California on Friday my friend was back in the hospital. Not completely unexpected I suppose but disappointing. We were able to spend some time together. She’s got a long road ahead of her and all the usual family dysfunctional behaviors. I did pretty well with my eating and exercise while away but my diet on the two day drive home consisted mainly of hot coffee and cold pizza. Part of this gain is water so I’m expecting a decent loss next week.
Daily check in: Friday
Food: Logged, under
Water: Pretty good
Exercise & Steps: 4 mile hike with the dogs; 22,030 steps
I wasted no time getting back on track my first full day home and am settling into my routine. Today’s plan is Farmers Market, grocery store then yard work. Wishing everyone a great weekend. Hello June!!

A total of 26 participants. So glad it’s done. More later!!! (Notice how fast I was going my hair was flying behind me haha)7 -

Hello & happy Saturday!😄☀️
Hope you are all enjoying your weekend! I’m feeling great! I’m down over 2 more pounds! My results are keeping me motivated! Getting closer to goal! Almost back to the 150’s! Got up early, got my workout in and at my WW meeting now. My home scale was .3 less, but I’ll stick with the WW scale.
Have a great day & weekend!🥰😁☀️3 -
Late check in for May 31:
Logged: yes, wayyyyy over again. Started with best intentions. But upset about my progress in May, stressed because my work is not going well, cannot seem to figure out my vacation plans and my husband is away. I need to get refocused.. get plans in place and think about June.
Water: not enough, about 1.5l
Steps: not sure, forgot to charge Fitbit
Exercise: zero
@cyndiesstuff could you repost the circle or bubble goals in the June feed? Also your other one on: fact, thought, action,... I need to start thinking long term, less in the moment, and reframe my thought to be positive. I bought a journal and hope to start in June, it won’t be as pretty as Twyla’s but it’s a start.
See you all on the June page!3 -
Hi, everyone :-) Sorry for not being very active here the last 2 weeks, but I've been very busy at work. For those who've missed my previous introduction:
I'm Lilly, 36 year young, married, mother of a 6-y old boy. I've lost about 40 lbs the past 2 years, but gained some back. So my current goal is to lose about 10. I love dancing and trail running, and participated in several half marathons and one ultra. Today I had to do a trail run marathon, but got a little lost and did the baby track (8 km) instead. My son also did the 8 km (but cycling) and it was his first race. I'm very proud of him because it was very muddy and slippery.
Username: Moarrein
Weigh in day: Friday
Starting weight: 127.8 lbs6 -
Oh boy. Reflection.
Let's see. Several of you know that the last two months have been overwhelming for me. Without too many details, my marriage hit a crisis point in early April and we've been working hard on rebuilding from the ground up. I also took over a coworker's class and have been drowning in work.
But the good part is that through all of that stress, I didn't give up on myself. I put exercise far on the back burner, but I was still careful about not over eating, especially when I was super mad or overwhelmed. I didn't lose weight like I wanted to, but I also didn't gain any. From this I've learned that I absolutely can control my health.
For June my goal is to exercise every day. Today I taught my youngest to play tennis. Also going to work on deliberate, healthy meals rather than snacking through boredom.
Also going to design structure for my days so I don't end up binging Netflix shows on the couch.

Friday check in
Food - Logged & under
Exercise 13121 steps including 5 km run
Water - 1.5l
Busy day today & going out tonight but I have a plan ready. What can I say about May? I had an emotionally tough March & April, I veered offtrack, and caught myself after the first week of May, I felt like I had to fight to get back in the zone & feel like I am back. I have a lot of people to care for & worry about & a mountain of stuff to do. But I had several reminders this month that I absolutely have to prioritize myself & self-care. Oh & I got cleared to start running again (slowly, gently).
@cyndiesstuff - your granddaughter is absolutely adorable!
@phoebe112476 - I loved you May recap! Thank goodness your dog is on the mend
@Mrsbell8well - Hurray & Congratulations!!! Love your race photos!
@Moarrein - Welcome! So pleased to see another runner join the group!! Congrats to you and your son!!4 -
My celebration dinner vegan pizza and Chardonnay that I won. I haven’t drank since October. I was really looking forward to it. 2 sips and that was it. Molly had to drink the rest. My water tasted better. Oh well lol. I’m not giving up I will have alcohol again someday.6 -
Congrats, @Mrsbell8well ! I am so impressed that you are racing like that! Enjoy the celebration!1

Happy Saturday everyone. I’m still here and trying to get back on task. I’m getting better but not perfect. One day at a time. 😀3

I am so tired...I am guessing between the crazy schedule, seeing my friend and the long drive, I am physically and mentally exhausted! I wanted to catch up here so this is all for now. I will hopefully IK don't sleep too long and can post more in the morning.
@cyndiesstuff Love your frogs! The little butt crack cracked me up Lol! Sophia is beautiful! You are so busy, hope each day continues to be a little better than the rest.
@Julie8468 You may not have lost as much as you wanted to in May but you still almost lost 2 lbs. Good idea to think about your goals and planning out June. New month, clean slate! Btw-You will have to share an after pic of your work in progress!
@lenka1 Hang in there! Did you ever end up taking measurements? Are your clothes fitting better or getting looser? Don't give up! You can do this!
@carlsoda Maintaining isn't a bad thing. I can't wait to hear how you make out at the Antique Road Show!
@eyesopennow Nice loss! I love those heart eggs!
@hkfleming Nice loss! Hope all is well!
@Cafelelia Nice loss! Congrats on the virtual run! What a good idea to ease back into races with a virtual one!
@hope002 The scale is going in the right direction! How is it going?
@pacsnc6 You are right, not bad at all. Sounds like it could be fluid retention. That will come off.
@kirsten11872 Nice loss! The IF and WW really does work for you! Along with those killer workouts!
@ljdanny What a successful day with your son's BD celebration! Great job! Hope you enjoyed your lunch with your extended family!
@phoebe112476 Your progress always amazes me. I have learned so much from your posts. Good luck with the move, moving is a lot of work. I am also happy to hear your dog is feeling better too. Hugs!
@nstephenson01 I am glad you are home safely. I am glad you got to see your friend.
@Zumba_Luvah Maintaining isnt a bad thing. Hope all is well.
@mrsbell8well Congrats on your race! Thanks for sharing your pictures!
@Moarrein Thanks for the introduction! Welcome to the team!
@GingerPwr You have been powering through the past 2 months and I know it hasn't been easy. I am hoping with school being out soon that you can take some time for yourself. Hugs!
@lennoncpa You are right, one day at a time! I know you can do this!3 -
@phoebe112476 I am so relieved you found your pup and tail is wagging. Good luck with your move.
@sleepymom5 it has been a long week for you. Really impressed how thoughtful you have been with your journey and doing the best that you can to take care of yourself.
@cyndiesstuff this team is here for you girl. Try sending an SOS and see what happens. And most certainly if I can do this so can you! Not just the weight loss but overcoming the harmful binges. You have still kept off the majority of the pounds you lost. You can do this 1 day at a time. You know you can always reach out to me. Thank you for all the extra effort you continually pour into this group as our captain. You are greatly appreciated. @sleepymom5 you as well. With everything that is going on in your lives you both still do a stellar job of leading this team. Thank you!
@lenka1 it’s a journey for sure. You have done an inspiring job with your strength training. I know we want that scale result but your doing a great job improving your muscle tone and getting healthier everyday. Stay with us.
@gingerpwr I appreciate your staying with us through everything you have been through. I love having you on out team Casey. This is our life. We will cycle through all kinds of events. It’s how we handle them that matters. You have really inspired me with your continued weight loss.
@Moarrein welcome. Oooohhh an ultra runner wow! Thanks for the intro. How tall are you?
@nstephen01 there’s no place like home. I love that you took your cooking tools with you and had a plan. I know you will be glad to get back into a routine. Sounds like a challenging visit.
@lennoncpa are you the one that was interested in Jenny Craig? I worked several years for them. I loved their program and learned a lot about diet an nutrition. My strength routine is still the one I learned from them 20 years ago. Not sure who was interested but I thought it was you.
@Zumba_Luvah just think of the weight you didn’t gain! In our past lives we could easily have but up a few pounds. And now we get to start over with a fresh new month.
@eyesopennow thanks Mike. It’s definitely been an achievement. How wonderful to be married to someone that loves and appreciates you. Best blessing in life.
@kirsten11862 what a way to end the month! You earned it. Yes you will be seeing the150’s son. Thanks for your support! I appreciate it.
@julie8468 you sound like you have been doing a lot of thinking about what you need to do to be successful. June is a great time to really commit.
@ljdanny you have had so many changes. You always inspired me with your early morning workouts glad your celebrations have been happy times.
@twyla77 dang girl you get a lot of steps! I had my highest ever at over 21k. You were right behind me at just under 20k. And I ran a 10K to get those steps. Wow you move a lot!
@Cafelelia I’m so glad your able to run again. You’ve done so well with your rehabilitation. Thanks for all your kind words and encouragement.
@carlsoda how fun to be going to the antique roadshow! Thanks for sharing. Interested to hear what you found out.
@hope002 congrats on weight loss! What activities are you doing for summer?
@hkfleming how much have you lost total? Looks like your making progress.

@pacsnc6 maintains are good as they say. I’m sure you will burn calories too with all the weeding.
@cyndiesstuff love the picture of Sophia and the Sunrise!
@Cafelelia your picture with your medal is awesome! It makes me smile with you.
@phoebe112476 I was losing weight at a good pace too until I got down to the las7 here. Our bodies do change as we get closer to goal. Sounds like your being thoughtful of making sure this is a lifestyle change and not the standard weight loss diet that we’ve done so many times.
@Shirin_K how delightful that you were playing baseball with your son. Builds great memories too!
@amsandos I was thinking of you yesterday when I was doing my race. Isn’t it crazy that we are not super skinny from all this training? You would think that we could chow down and not worry about weight gain. Yesterday my daughter brought over coconut clusters from Costco. Heads up. Do NOT buy these. They are like “crack”. Hard to stop eating. They have natural sugar so I ate too much of the stuff knowing that I “deserved “ it after the race. Lol...we know what a slippery slope that is. Good for you for regrouping! You can do this. We are here for you.
If I missed anyone I’m sorry. My busy work life has made it harder to stay on top of posts. I fell asleep last night at 7pm. But up at 1am wide awake. Decided to use this time to catch up 🥰

Daily Check in: Saturday
Food: yes i did it!
Water: 48 oz
Exercise and steps. 10782 steps and planted the front garden before the rain
this is the last post in this thread. it will be closed after this. lets go jump into june!!
i snuck in cleaning, turning the soil, and planting the front flower bed yesterday before the rain, we also got ours, bills (the cousin with cancer), and my folks grass mowed. we went to the vegetable garden in the back but it is still way to wet. and then a storm blew thru and now it is even wetter. my dad offered his back garden to us at his house to plant. i am seriously considering it. i ate on track yesterday. i thank God for that. i did feel compulsive in the afternoon but resisted the urge. and look at me!! it was the week end and i ate the way I was intended to eat. I drank a lot of water. really lost track. but it was hot and muggy.
